Absolutely fine. I'm a New Yorker and I often bring guests here. It has not disappointed. Food good; serving gracious. It is a bit expensive but the experience and food is well worth it. They were particularly gracious to me as I am handicapped. Terrific atmosphere; within a restaurant quiet. It's good.

Great location if you're going to the theater without being surrounded by times square tourists! Interesting menu. First item was vegan but it caters to a wide variety of tastes. It was humming and fun. In Bryant park - right now, surrounded by the ice rink and the Christmas market. You need to book I waited a long time to be served, but this may have been because my friends were late- and I had bread and a drink to keep me going. Once we said we were in a hurry, the food came quickly enough, and so did the check. We were in the permanent building and not in the canvas covered area and I was grateful for this as I was worried it might have been a little cold under canvas All in all a good experience

It's a big space with big windows and big tables for big family's or groups to enjoy their company and a celebration of a good meal. If you like good variety on the menu, lots of space in the room, nice atmosphere, and better than good service, you should give this centrally located place a try. The window scene is very nice during Holiday season and the many shops are convenient and fun to explore before of after your dinner. Wine list is adequate with a few that might be to most people's likings, and the range in food options on the menu are all great for families and different tastes for groups and bigger party's. Parking can be tough.

Had a small group here for dinner. If you're going to head over during the holidays, arrive early and leave enough time to walk the holiday kiosks and admire the skating rink at Bryant Park. They're ready for the holidays, and the room was bright and warm against the cold dark evening. We had wine by the glass and it was very good (house Pinot Noir and Malbec). The salads were tasty and they were accommodating with any special requests. The main courses were excellent and enjoyed by all. The Mahi Mahi special was spectacular. Kudos also for the risotto and Sea Bass. Pricing is reasonable for a spot right in the middle of everything.

We love Bryant Park Grill, however my most recent experience left a little to be desired. Waiter spilled drinks on us, service was slow, steak was not rare as requested. We did not complain. But after the spilt drinks I think the manager knew about the issues because she was incredibly apologetic throughout the course of our time with them. I will "give it another" try soon as this is the first bad experience I have ever had there in the dozen plus times I have dined there. Everyone has a bad day.

From the Fall cocktail, through the dessert mousse, Bryant Park Grill provided an excellent experience on a Friday evening. Topping off the meal was Dina (sp?) who waited our table. She was the perfect blend of quiet professionalism and warmth. Great waitress. And the front of the house who seated us was wonderfully helpful too. Bryant Park Grill is a gem for out-of-towners like me and my husband because of its quintessentially NY location and the fact that no dining dollar is wasted. Bravo, Bryant Park Grill.

Although we had difficulty locating the restaurant (it is inside Bryant Park), our dining experience was perfect. We were especially impressed with the training of the staff which is critical to their ability to provide such quality service. Our beverage and meal orders were taken within minutes after our arrival and our meal came very quickly as well. Both of our entrees were cooked and seasoned to perfection, the portion size was generous. Our only challenge was to decide what to order as every entree seemed enticing. We had a leisurely dinner, followed by coffee (also excellent). We were amazed to see that we had been at the Grill for just an hour. We usually take about ninety minutes when dining out, and we never felt rushed--just well served. One caveat: NY,NY restaurants include an 18% gratuity on tabs, so don't tip a full 15 to 20%--but do add a few extra dollars if your experience matches ours.

Always an enjoyable and loud experience. BPG never disappoints as a great lunch place for work or social. Food is consistently good with the chopped Cobb being a staple. Pasta is great as is several of the starters like the calamari and tomato/mozzarella salad. Service is impersonal, but very efficient. Always a vibrant and energetic scene.

I met a former colleague there for lunch. It was in a great location. We were seated very quickly. The food was good, a bit on the pricey end of the spectrum for lunch. The waitress was smart and attentive. She figured out very quickly that we wanted to talk and catch up. She appeared at all the right times and was not hovering or interrupting the rest of the time. I appreciate a waitperson that is paying attention!!

Right behind the Library on 42nd and 5th. The room was a little hot, but otherwise, all good if you are looking for a nice restaurant close to Grand Central Station and Times Square but away from the craziness. Also, they just opened the ice rink in pop up shops in Bryant Park making it a really nice atmosphere in the fall/winter months. Not crazy loud, so even with a large table, we were able to talk without yelling.

I hadn't been to Bryant Park Grill in years and regret it. Went for a client lunch on a beautiful fall day and the setting in the restaurant with the trees beginning to change and the sun coming in through the large windows was outstanding. Tables filled up quickly at lunch with clients who obviously hadn't forgotten about it like I had. The service was efficient but not rushed at all. The food was delicious. I had the turkey stir fry and it was more than enough for lunch and I could not finish it. My client had the striped bass and he said it was perfect. Looking around me, I saw that the chopped cobb salads seemed to be very popular. I will be adding Bryant Park Grill to my rotation!

Service was super fast -- which made sense once we tasted the food. Clearly prepared in advance, our lobster bisque tasted like souped-up canned soup with canned vegetables thrown in, and the salads were less than fresh -- they seemed like they'd been plated in advance, even. Great atmosphere doesn't quite make up for this.

I brought my husband to Bryant Park Grill for his birthday. We made a 12:30 reservation and ended up being 30 minutes early...and they seated us with no problem. We ended up sitting in the Atrium which was beautifully decorated with chandeliers throughout and a clear cover over the top so you could see outside. Sort of like a greenhouse...just a really pretty greenhouse :) The service was outstanding...our server went as far as bringing hubby a birthday dessert for us to share in the end with a candle. It was very sweet and delicious! The food was very good, portions were perfect and everything was fresh. And looooved the mimosas ;) We had a great experience with an outstanding view and will definitely be future patrons.

I've been to Bryant Park Grill on several occassions. Usually with much success and memories. The location is great, and the ambiance lively with responsive wait service; however, this late Friday night meal was just average. The food was good in name and variety, but this time around fairly bland. There were three of us dining. One had chicken fricasse, the other pasta and the third a steak. Again, they were all adequately presented, but not notable at all. I wouldn't write off BPG because I've been satisfied before, but this inconsistency is a concern.

A friend was coming in to Grand Central from Connecticut. She's a writer and one of her books is a photography book of beautiful gardens around the world. Bryant Park Grill seemed the perfect choice for convenience and beauty. And it was. But the food was disappointing, the Cobb Salad presented in a small bowl with chicken chunks piled all over the top. Hard to eat, and not that tasty, besides having to dig through to find all the other expected ingredients. Calamari a little greasy, the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella acceptable. Everything else was lovely and professional

    Dined on 10/23/2014
This area is surprisingly short on gracious restaurants, and the Bryant Park Grill is terrific. I am partial to their extension: the main dining room is too vibrant (read 'noisy') for my tastes and I like the sense of dining almost, but not quite, al fresco. Being a vegetarian I cannot speak to the meat, fish and fowl-based dishes, other than to say they all look splendid. But their burrata is certainly the best in Manhattan, and when they say 'heirloom tomatos' they mean it. It's very busy at lunchtime - a hangout for executives who wish to socialize - yet a request for speedy service -my companion and I were running late - brought immediate attention.
