A word from Bryant & Cooper Steakhouse
Bryant & Cooper opened in 1986 with big ambitions: to bring the top tier New York City "steak house experience" to Long Island. Not only would the very finest quality, hand picked prime aged steaks be served, but an ambiance would be created that makes everyone feel like they are part of a special private club. For membership...just make a reservation.

Founded by the three Poll brothers with two generations of restaurant ownership experience, Gillis, Dean and George learned at an early age that the secret of a great restaurant was to start with serving the very best.

That is why the steaks, chops and jumbo lobsters are selected on a daily basis, and only the freshest side dishes find their way to a plate served at Bryant & Cooper.

Over the years Bryant & Cooper has received superlative reviews for its entire menu. The New York Times has proclaimed it the "best steak house on Long Island."

I was celebrating my birthday dinner with my twin sister and my brother and other sister. This was my second visit to this restaurant. I ordered the 16 ounce filet milgon and asked for it to be cooked medium. I asked the water what medium was for this place and he stated pink. The steak was delivered rare and had to be returned twice. I did not end up eating the steak and it was removed from the tab. I was very much looking forward to this dinner and saved up my appetite. I ended up eating just the side orders and bread. Much different from my first wonderful, delicious experience.

Bryant and Cooper is a consistently excellent choice for that steakhouse evening. The cajun rib eye is really unbelievable as is the sesame crusted tuna. Bryant and Cooper salad is an excellent mix of shrimp, onions, green beans and tomato. GREAT crabcakes as well - overall a very pleasant and solid dining experience!

Came for my husband's birthday on a Wednesday night. Very busy and very loud for a weekday. Food and service was great. The only negative thing I could say is that we felt rushed. We ordered 3 appetizers to come out one after the other, our entrees , and dessert and it all came out way too quick. We were done within an hour and 15 minutes. I just wish they would of given us a little more time in between. Besides that everything else was great.

We've never had a bad meal here. This time, we were celebrating our anniversary and other than too small of a table, everything was wonderful. We started with clams casino (not my favorite but my hubby loves them) which were as expected…quite good. My husband had the filet mignon and the half & half (potatoes & onions) and I had the steamed lobster (which only comes in the 4 lb size so be hungry or prepared to take home…I'll make 2 more meals of this!) and the snow pea pods with mushroom sautee. Everything was done to perfection…YUM! We passed on dessert as we were too full but did have coffee & cappuccino - these were not as good as I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Regardless, the meal & service were terrific!

Terrific food. Got a gift certificate, so had NO IDEA how expensive it was. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. All the waiters are male, like an exclusive boys club. Very old school. So go for that nice, intimate little night out. Order that $400 bottle of wine. What the heck. Go ahead, treat yourself, Mr. Rockefeller.

I've been to expensive restaurants before but this not the city. Service was great I must admit, food was tasty but I got sticker shock when the bill came for the lamb chops that were not priced on the menu (shame on me, I should have asked before ordering). Seems like a neighborhood favorite with a regular clientele, a bit crowded but everyone seemed to be having a good time. For the price I expected a better experience.

Everything on the menu is delicious and is always consistent. Best lobster cocktail for your dollar hands down better than anywhere else in America. Amazing mouthwatering side dishes such as cream of spinach and home fries and fried zucchini. And you can never go twin with either their porterhouse or their Cajun ribeye!

If you like beef, and plenty of it, this place is for you. Excellent Martinis made to order. The rib steak was awesome and huge. My wife loved her sirloin. Pricey, in line with other high-end steakhouses, but great for special occasions.

Although I know that Bryant and Cooper is great for dinner, I often avoid it because it is so crowded and noisy for dinner. this was the first time I ever went for lunch, and it was a great idea. Their 10 ounce filet mignon lunch was a great choice. If you go for a late lunch, you probably won't want much, if anything for dinner. Unlike steakhouse dinners, where everything is ordered a la carte, the lunch comes with a salad, creamed spinach, and lyonnaise potatoes, all for less than the cost of the filet for dinner.

Bryant and Cooper is definitely an upscale experience. The service is impeccable, and everything about it evokes classic steakhouse. The food is delicious, the selection is great, and I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a high-class restaurant. The attention alone from the staff is worth it. I have been here before but not for a while. I was really disappointed with my steak. Other at the table had good cuts and were very happy, when the waiter asked how everything was I said I was not happy with the steak, he looked at me like I was kidding and when I said I have better steak at Outback he laughed and walked away. When he came back I told him I was not kidding he avoided the conversation. Too bad, I use to rave about this place. Things change. For the price I would like to leave satisfied.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years but on this evening we had an horrendous experience. It was a Wednesday night and we were seated 25 minutes after our reservation. We ordered drinks and I was brought the wrong cocktail. I know I ordered a branded vodka and was given an inferior quality. The headache I had the following morning was a confirmation of this fact. Neither waiter or anybody in the restaurant was able to help us with a wine selection. One waiter was very apologetic and it appeared as though the other did not care. The food was fair but the noise level was beyond that of the cheers expressed at my the audience at the Super Bowl. Happy birthday to me :-(

As usual everything was going perfect, except for my filet mignon. We were still eating our salads when the steaks were served. We told them we needed 5 more minutes. 2 minutes after the food was served, they asked if everything was ok. I hadn't gotten to the meat yet so we said it was. After 2 slices it turned out not to be medium rare. It was extremely charred and the inside was very dry with no pink in the middle. Unfortunately they never came back to ask otherwise I would have returned it. As always, the place it was packed and very busy. Note to self, check meat immediately otherwise it may just be too late. I ended up taking the charred steak to my dog who seemed to enjoy it very much.

Big fan of all the Pohl restaurants and come here often. First time we had an issue with a meal. The order had to be sent back twice, and the diner was reluctant to do so, however the waiter noticed the issue. The service/staff were very kind and attentive. My dish, which i order the same thing every time (veal francese) was very chewy. A bit of a disappointing evening, but we will be back.

Been here several times, it is always consistant-its delicious experience everytime. But, it is stupid loud in there. Very difficult to converse with people at your own table-its that loud. After 15 minutes or so you adjust or maybe its the cocktail that takes off the edge of a screaming room. I love it here though. One of my favorites.
