Brook's Steak House & CellarAnniversary DinnerWe picked Brooks to celebrate our anniversary because we've had such good experiences there in the past, and we were not disappointed! We were placed in an out of the way table, our favorite in fact, so as to not be disturbed. The service was amazing, our waiter was so attentive but never hovered. The food was wonderful, as always. We love that special extra something (the creamed corn!) Brooks always provides, and they helped us celebrate with a special dessert and our picture! The noise level was a little too much, and the place was mostly empty. Would hate to be there on a busy evening. This was the first time we had visited the restaurant for a buffet brunch. There was a ambundance of food selections, mostly gourmet, which were perfectly prepared and tasted very delicious. From the greeting to the dessert, everything was top notch. The food was fantastic, service was very good and we had the best meal we have had together in years. It was extremely quiet, but by the time we left shortly after 7 is was getting very busy, and the noise volume had increased.

Only problem was that the tables were crammed together to the point that even the wait staff couldn't get around without knocking into chairs. I don't really recommend Brooks for a Sunday Brunch. Not enough room to actually walk around the buffet to get the food you want, and they didn't have a good variety of breads, cheeses or sliced meats. And, no, I don't work there or own the place! I have eaten at all the other upscale steakhouses in the area, and this one is not to be discounted...it is every bit as good...actually, better. Shanahan's is far too noisy. Del Fresco's seems less intimate.
