If you're not in a booth, chairs are a little uncomfortable. The wine & beer selection is now presented on an iPad. It was a nice touch. The merlot we ordered was very good. We ordered a boneless rib-eye and a filet mignon. A word of advice - they tend to cook the food on the rarer side of what you ask for, so bump it up a level and you should be happy. The corn side was good as well as the sweet potatoes we ordered.
The downside -- this place is pricey, but that was expected. The waiter definately knew his stuff. He recited the menu as if he were the chef telling us how the meal was cooked, what was in it, and I even recall him stating some the dietary restrictions. From the greeting to the dessert, everything was top notch. The food was fantastic, service was very good and we had the best meal we have had together in years. It was extremely quiet, but by the time we left shortly after 7 is was getting very busy, and the noise volume had increased.

Only problem was that the tables were crammed together to the point that even the wait staff couldn't get around without knocking into chairs. Many people were having a hard time getting out of their chairs as well if they were mindful of not hitting your chair. And, no, I don't work there or own the place! I have eaten at all the other upscale steakhouses in the area, and this one is not to be discounted...it is every bit as good...actually, better. Shanahan's is far too noisy. Del Fresco's seems less intimate.
