  • "BC has begun sending out a weekly special to their mailing list which gives an added component to their reliable general menu. Seared scallops were perfectly done and the new kale salad a fresh side. Service was a little distracted but maitre 'd stepped in a made it right. A class act."

  • "although Brooklyn café legitimately can be said to be the closest quality restaurant to our home, that's not why we chose it. over the years, despite several changes in chefs, it has consistently turned out great food. and as a neighborhood place, we always bump into people we know. several of the waitstaff have been there for quite some time, are unusually good and personable, and know us as regulars. Another nice point is that one diner can enjoy a light entrée for $16 while another has a full dinner - just watch out for the unpriced specials that can run into the thirties."

  • "The food is always consitantly good and the wait staff does a good job as well. Dinner is very good too, but we prefer to go to lunch here."

  • "Brooklyn Cafe has a nice neighborhood feel, with an upscale menu with variety in selections and the price was reasonable. The service was attentive without being too intrusive. If I lived closer, I think I would be here often."

  • "spur of the moment go out to dinner and I was guided to several choices, one being Brooklyn Café. Hadn't been there in a while and thought I would give it a try with my wife. . Saw several friends and had an overall enjoyable evening. Great food and great service. No complaints."

  • "A delightful lunch with a friend and her 96 year old Mother. The staff is always very cordial to me as I am in a wheelcheeeeirt I met a friend and her 96 year old mother, a very nice experience. The staff was wonderful and the food delicious."

  • "Four of us sat outside. The heater was a bit warm at first, and the waiter was very attentive to adjust it to a comfortable temperature and finally turn it off. The food and service were very good."

  • "We waited way too long for a waiter to come to the table, then there was a mixup regarding which waiter was helping us. We ended up with a total of 3 at during the night, but confusion between them. Lack of attention to our table. The entree was COLD, so we sent it back and it was returned to us "LUKEWARM" at best. We finally just gave up and ate it. The price was ridiculous for the nightly special, particularly in light of poor service and COLD food. We felt like we were ROBBED, and will never go back."

  • "We love to go back to Brooklyn Cafe! The food is great and so is the service. This trip we loved the avocado egg roll appetizer, which was new on the menu to us and was great! Our entrees were shrimp and crab cakes and were excellent. Great Bartender for mixed drinks was most appreciated!"

  • "I've been going to Brooklyn Cafe for years because I always leave so satisfied! They're food is always so fresh. I tend to get the salmon salad when I go for lunch. The salmon tastes like it just came out of the smoker. But I have had everything on their menu at different times - and have always left satisfied. They make a different dessert everyday - and when they have their carrot cake I always get a piece to take home. Any time I bring someone there for their first time it quickly becomes their favorite spot!"

  • "This wonderful restaurant has been a Sandy Springs gem for years. The layout of the restaurant is wonderful and the food is exceptionally good. We have never been disappointed! And if you like crab cakes (served with a salad), there is none better in the entire city of Atlanta!!"

  • "I haven't been to Brooklyn Cafe in several years even though our prior visit was a good experience. Lobster bisque, chicken with red pepper and goat cheese, and a filet salad were all very good. Service was very nice and attentive. The restaurant appears to me to have a solid set of "regulars" judging from the greeting that the staff gave many of those arriving. One of the regulars was out on the patio with us and the rather live sound environment made their greeting and apparent celebration a part of everyone's conversation. You can't fault the restaurant or the guest for having a good time. I would suggest that a prospective diner request a table in the regular dining room ."

  • "I had a great experience. It was Valentines Day and they were packed. You wouldn't know they were so busy because of the quick service and delicious food. I say it's a must try. Get the crab cakes."

  • "The chef has obviously had a lot of training in French cuisine- the sauces were amazing. Service was outstanding, very knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint, which was taken care of- was that even with an Open Table reservation we had to wait about 35 min- but then they comped our hors d'oeuvres. Which were incredible- smoked salmon and artichoke. Highly recommended."

  • "We visited Brooklyn Cafe on a Friday night (early). Were seated promptly and attended to almost immediately. Our waitress, Amy, did a great job of keeping us entertained with prompt and attentive service throughout. The lobster bisque I had was very good as were the beef short ribs with "amazing" carrots (their term, not mine). Overall, it was a very good meal. Additionally, the wine list offered a good selection and we were recommended a very good cabernet which at $65 is about what I'd expect to pay at a restaurant. Needless to say, I was somewhat surprised upon looking up the winery that this is the price I'd pay when buying directly from them... so other than the trade discount, no markup either. Good to know."

  • "Everything was perfect... The service, the wine, the appetizer (blue cheese and chips) the walnut-fig salad, the key lime pie, the chocolate cake... but, best of all... THE CRAB CAKES!"

  • "Good food and ample selection at Brooklyn Cafe. Their crab cakes are delicious and made with no filler. They also take reservations, which is a plus on the weekend as they get quite crowded."

  • "We ordered Lobster tails w/mashed potatoes. Lobster was rubbery, mash potato barely lukewarm. Never charge $35 per plate if you don't know how to prepare it."

  • "They serve only boutique wines which I think is great and unique. The wines are NOT a fortune either."

  • "The food at Brooklyn Cafe was delicious - my husband had the special, and I had the crab cakes...oh and the bread pudding was unbelievable! Our server recommended a wine that was excellent. Great service, very friendly people; the woman who seated up knew we were knew to the Cafe and came over before we left and asked about our experience - great follow-up! Overall great dining experience and looking forward to going again, and again!"

  • "We're so glad we found Brooklyn Cafe. We tried it for the first time about a month ago, and we decided to take our in-laws when they were in town. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals (Crab Cake salad, Jack’s Creole Chicken and Sausage, and Julian’s Grilled Chicken), and the service was great once again. We'll be back!"

  • "The Brooklyn Cafe has been consistent over the years which is terrific because you know what you are going to get - good food, good service, honored reservations, easy parking. Sometimes it is a little loud. Avoid tables near the bar if you want to have a conversation. Love the menu - something for everyone and very reasonably priced. We'll go back soon."

  • "The Brooklyn Cafe sets the bar for diversity of menu, perfection of old favorites and new creations, and presentation. In addition, the attention of the servers and their standard of excellent customer service are always outstanding. Brooklyn Cafe is easily one of the best restaurants in the greater metro area if not anywhere. The dedication to their food and the satisfaction of their customers is the standard to which every restaurant should aspire. I have yet to have anything there that wasn't mind-blowing delicious."

  • "My wife and I were enjoying 2 days of fun in Perimeter Mall area of Atl. Found Brooklyn Cafe while looking through Open Table sites nearby our hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Lamb chops and Jack's cajun shrimp were outstanding and the prices were very resonable for the quality. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

  • "It was our first time at Brooklyn Cafe. I was searching through OpenTable for a restaurant where we could go to celebrate my birthday, and I wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before. I am so happy I took a chance on Brooklyn Cafe. We were greeted by pleasant staff members when we arrived and were immediately seated. Our waiter, Paul, was extremely friendly and helpful. We selected some wine and shared the grilled artichoke appetizer-very yummy! I had the crab cake salad and my husband had Jack's Creole Chicken and Sausage. Both were delicious. We were too stuffed for dessert, but we left quite pleased....we'll definitely be back and will recommend Brooklyn Cafe to friends and family!"
