Had a fantastic experience at Broken plate. We went later in the evening, but the place with still busy. Even though they had a full house the service was very prompt and the food was perfect. Nice ambience and environment to have a casual dinner in. Lovely waitress!

Ambiance and setting of the restaurant are very friendly, elegant and casual at the same time. Overall the food was very good, my guests ordered the salmon in filo, Alexander lamb sword and the chicken, they really enjoyed it. I shared the lamb with my wife, it was really good, the lamb was very tender and not too cooked, the way I like it. I personally ordered the lobster special and was a bit disappointed, risotto was too salty. I must command the service which was superb. We ordered two bottles of greek wine. The white was very good, red was a bit hard for my taste. I'll definitely go back to the restaurant.

Too many children and babies at the restaurant - service a bit spotty and food wasn't hot. Lamb overcooked, Greek salad appetizer small, scrimped on the feta and olives.

My gajillionth time here but there were some really rowdy patrons and alot of smokers by the front door and it's about 20% more expensive than other greek restaurants in calgary. .. still... I love it... terrific service on Friday evening from young lady working the NE corner that night

This place was recommended to me from a co-worker, and we do not live in Calgary, but have recently been to Calgary twice in a matter of 2 months, and have eaten at the Broken Plate on both trips. Enjoyed it very much, and will be back again, and again.

Decided to try Broken Plate for the first time. I have to say I had expected the ambiance/restaurant itself to have more Greek flair & character, but it was a pretty simple place. The food completely won us over. All five of us enjoyed our dinners so much, the portions were enormous but the freshness of the ingredients & the flavor of the food was really good. I had the grilled shrimp with rice pilaf & it was so good - savoury & the vegetables were fresh & cooked perfect, brocollini & beets. I would definitely say you get what you pay for at Broken Plate as I brought home a whole meal out of what was leftover in mine. Oh & our server was really fantastic, attentive, pleasant, & made great recommendations. Will be back again for sure!

It was my birthday and looking for a quiet romantic evening. We were seated about two feet away from the next table...that was ok, but then a group with small kids came the manager moved the tables even closer that I could eat of of their plates. So much for a quiet romantic evening. I would never go back to this place ever!!!

So after years and years of never being disappointed I finally had an entree I didn't love. But it took a long, long time before that happened. I've always enjoyed every food item and beverage that I have ordered over the many years I've been going to the Willow Park Broken Plate restaurant. So this is a first, and really it's just because I love the "special" I decided to try. It's not that there was even anything really wrong with it. It's more that it just wasn't my taste. So this restaurant will stay at the top of my list for favourites for years to come!

The steak special was pretty ordinary (ordered by 2 people), the lamb was under cooked and the the Greek ribs had hardly any seasoning. Good thing the baklava was tasty or the evening would have been a total disaster.

I've been to the Broken Plate many times and I've tried a good variety of items on their menu and I have never been disappointed with any food items I've ordered. I don't like lentils, but they let me try a sample of their lentil soup and it was actually very good. The only lentil soup I've ever liked in my life. This restaurant is always on our list of places to go when we want a good meal, in a nice place with good service. They never disappoint! You can't say that about all restaurants.

My best friend and I went for dinner here for the first time and we liked it. The wine is definitely over-priced but that's to be expected. We were seated right away which was great. Our server was very professional and friendly. The food was good, but we both ordered a side of prawns with our meal and they were completely cold. We would both definitely go back though :)

This was a get-together with a sister and cousin I hadn't seen in a year. Broken Plate is a Greek restaurant with a light cheery ambiance. Our waitress was exceptionally attentive and good-humoured. (Humour is spelled correctly, so trash the red line.) Ironically the only food I found disappointing was the Greek salad. Something about the dressing seemed off.

My last visit to Broken Plate was over a year ago. Returning a few nights ago, the food was as good as I remembered! However, the service was very inconsiderate. Interrupting conversation several times, forgetting side dishes (with no rush to get them after they were reminded!), had no idea which of us had which meal, and reaching right in front of our faces to fill our water glasses unasked. The server was friendly, just hurried and brash and without basic courtesy. As a mother myself, I don't mind children in restaurants, but maybe seat them away from the couples that are dining? I enjoy the food here, but honestly for the price I expect much more professional service - this was more Boston Pizza-level service.
