Second visit to the Broadway Grill in a month. This time we took six friends. The food was great, and Matt Helm is superb. If you are a Dean Martin fan, this is the place for you. Bring your friends on a Wednesday night and have a ball.

There were out of prime rib at 7:30 on a Saturday night! Not acceptable. Waitress told us it was because they had a 25 person price fixe party. Well the whole reason you have price fixe is so you order enough food for the party and the rest of the restaurant. They were out of Hoeegarden, a beer they have on tap. It's Saturday night and you only have 4 beers on tap, how do you run out? Waitress called my 60+ yr old mom, "Sweetie" which is rude. Appetizer salads came before drinks were served. Felt very rush. The food was good but the ambiance, server, and fact that they were out of two big things were a huge disappointment.

I came here to celebrate my gf's bday, but I didn't announce it or anything. We came early so it was rather quiet, but it was perfect for us to enjoy a night out together. The wait service was really friendly and we both enjoyed our tender prime rib. It's been a long time since I came here, but it was definitely better than I remembered. thanks for the good food!

My friends and I picked this restaurant for my 65th birthday celebration because I wanted to have something really special. The food each of us picked (3 participants) was wonderful. I had the filet mignon, the other two dishes were the special pork chop and the prime rib. We also had a Caesar Salad which was done to perfection.

I've been living in Burlingame, CA. for 4 years. I was lucky to find the Broadway Grill within walking distance. When you walk by, you smell the aroma of the wood fired grill. You remember that you haven't eaten there in a couple of weeks, then make sure to go soon. When friends come to town, Broadway Grill. Special Occasions, Broadway Grill. Sunday Brunch with my girl, Broadway Grill. No reason at all, just want dinner on a Tues or Thurs, with half price wine list, Broadway Grill. The new chef and the new menu is much more comprehensive, but every bit as excellent. And most of all, we know each other by name, and the service and staff can't be beat! Our FAVORITE restaurant!

  • Table for 9, not at all impressed
    KennyVIP
    Dined on 9/6/2014
Food was overpriced and not impressive, steaks over $30 but seemed like choice grade, palely grilled. Pork porterhouse was barely cuttable with steak knife. Grilled salmon at $26 had a smaller piece that the $20 salmon panzanella. Everything was way oversalted. Service was poor, had to ask for menus for all people, servers reaching over intrusively, has to ask for refills or new drinks ourselves, waiter seemed distracted and uninterested, table was too small for 9 people. Ambiance: tables were so close together even the staff could no pass between, jazz band was distracting, we could not hear the other half of the table. We will not be returning for sure

I have eaten here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. About a year apart. Lunch was very good. It was a nice day and they had all the windows open so it had a patio feeling to it. Both times service was very friendly and attentive. The dinner menu has a steak house feel to it. A lot of beef options. I had a filet and my Mother had Prime Rib. Both cooked exactly as ordered. The menu has a good variety so non meat eaters shouldn't worry. My wife had a big salad and was very happy with it. They have second floor spot for a band and there was some jazz playing, not too loud so you could still talk. My guess is that it has a big later night crowd. On the expensive side.

My husband and I booked a last minute date-night dinner here. Our first visit and glad that we picked this restaurant! Our server was attentive, helpful with suggestions, and friendly. The food was delicious and good size portions. My husband's filet mignon, although medium-rare as he ordered it, was still a little tough for his taste. I had the smallest prime rib at 9oz, but it was too much to finish - delicious as it was. Dessert was a chocolate molten lava cake a la mode. We'll definitely go back again!

My friends and I had been to this restaurant for our Christmas gathering in the past two years. The food was good and the service was great. Lately we went there for a birthday celebration. All of us were disappointed. The food quality was not as good as before. The waiter was not attentive. We had to ask for water and bread many times before they were given to us. The only thing we like was the entertainment that night. The singing group was very good. We do not plan to go back for Christmas this year.

Went to Broadway Grill to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great time with the band and singers and they kept us very entertained. For the price of their prime rib and rib-eye and quality, I definitely would not order that again as the meat was very chewy and did not have enough flavor. We did enjoy their appetizers though. Overall, they get a 4 star from us for their wonderful service and entertainment and just a 2 star for their prime rib and rib-eye steak. We will go back in the future, but will try something different from their menu.

We had eaten at Broadway Grill many years ago and were not impressed. But, because of a Groupon we decided to try it again. This time everything was outstanding. In making the reservation we requested a downstairs table near a window and that is where we were seated. Tracy did any excellent job of taking care of us. Ceasar salad and clam chowder were outstanding, as were the salmon and prime rib entrees. We are very happy to have a neighborhood restaurant that we would return to.

Good and lively dinner spot. Went with extended family on a Sunday morning, though. Restaurant was empty on Sunday until after 11. Not horrible, but dull takes on omelets with uninspired, overcooked ingredients. Omelets that had cheese on top had melted *squares* of pre-sliced cheese. It didn't affect the taste (which was overcooked and mediocre), but the presentation with a couple of runny squares is low-end. There are cheap breakfast restaurants in Millbrae or on California Ave that do a much better breakfast, albeit with less attractive surroundings. I don't fault the staff, who are all very good. But clearly breakfast is not a priority there. Few choices, and amateur results. Stick with dinner, which as I said, is very good.

  • Flatiron Steak delicious!
    MonkuVIP
    Dined on 7/31/2014
The Flatiron Steak was perfectly seasoned for my taste; ordered it medium rare but unfortunately only the first slice met that criteria; the rest was medium. Butr, it was tasty and tender. I recommend skipping the Monterey Bay Calamari appetizer; it was over-breaded and that over-whelmed the dish as well & resulted in a lot of sogginess as time passed. Not notable at all. My friend had the short ribs which we found a bit dry and lacking in salt. He did enjoy the mashed potatoes. The service was very good... I have to add that I was late for my reservation as I ended up on Burlingame Ave instead of Broadway and could not find the restaurant.. I called to let them know I would be late and they graciously held the table for me...

I have dined at Broadway Grill several times. The atmosphere is very nice. There is live music, nice and not annoying. From Appetizers to Desserts, there is a great selection to choose from. I have always had a fantastic meal here. The service is fantastic. James, the General Manager, is there to add a personal touch and make sure things are running smoothly. Broadway Grill has been one of my favorite dining places and I will continue to eat here.

Food and service good. Priced right for brunch. The live music ruined our father's day adventure. So loud couldn't hear myself think, let alone carry on conversation. Requested and were reseated ion the second floor where the sound was a tad softer only to be all but forgotten by the wait-person. Did request they turn the sound down a tad. First told that it was loud to cover the din of diners, then told that their system wasn't working. Would have been alright if we were there for drinking and grooving to the music. For brunch it was a bust. Not do that again.
