It has neighborhood spirit and energy, a fantastic wine list, great daily specials, one of the best (and most secret) brunches in the Edgewater/Andersonville area (hello, bottomless mimosas!), and great simple food. They do basic foods like burgers, meatloaf, prime rib, and fish with just enough innovation to make it special but not so much to seem like they're trying too hard. We made our reservation online and our table was waiting for us even though we were a few minuets early. We had a great time! The waitress was very attentive even though she was busy. I had the bottomless mimosas and never has an empty glass. My parents left and my brothers and I stayed for a few more drinks which she had no problem with. The food was amazing and the prices were very fair, if not down right cheap.

Most of the options in this area and north towards Loyola are OK, but not something to remember.
This was an extraordinary experience. The food was exceptional. Everything we had was done perfectly and tasted wonderful. It is warm, inviting and the service staff (thanks Frankie) and hostesses are wonderful.

LOVED the mushroom ravioli....could eat the beet salad every day - its perfect. We also tried the meatloaf with cheese and spinach, which sounded totally wierd to me, and will now be a new addition on my comfort food list.
