Diner Reviews
  • "My boyfriend and I were in Chattanooga visiting my family and chose Broad Street Grille for a late dinner. The restaurant was quiet as it was nearly 9:30 when we arrived, and I was worried the staff may not be excited to see us... that was absolutely not the case! Our server was very personable and prompt. The food was wonderful - honestly the best chicken dish I have had in a restaurant! The "duck fat roasted potatoes" were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chef stepped out to our table to say hello and we were more than happy to provide compliments to the chef. Anyone living in or visiting Chattanooga should definitely add Broad Street Grille to their list of places to go!"

  • "This was the 3rd visit to BSG. Typically the service and food has been very good. This past visit was a little noisy for our planned romantic dinner, and the server was a little overwhelmed with the amount of tables he was given. However, this was an isolated incident of our three visits, and we have already made reservations again."

  • "Food & service was very good - we were the only ones in a restaurant that could hold a hundred- atmosphere could be improved by turning lights down and pulling shades to and are that didn'tt really have a view of anything!"

  • "My husband and I went to celebrate our 24th anniversary at BSG and it was amazing. Our server, Glenn, was on top of everything and very informative! Loved it and will be back."

  • "We did the Saturday night date night package. It would be difficult to beat the value of this wine & four course meal."

  • "The Chef's Table is a unique and wonderful way to experience small bites of various foods, while interacting with those preparing your food. It is never boring, and the chef-inspired creations are a culinary delight!"

  • "The food: taste was extraordinary and presentation delightful. Service was outstanding. I don't care so much for the open air ambiance, but there is sufficient "distance" between tables."

  • "Had a wonderful romantic dinner with my other half"

  • "On our visit, it happened to be a "date night" menu. There was a decent food selection, however the quality was not what I would have expected for the cost. We were happy that we had a gift certificate to cover part of the cost. Service was friendly, but a little slow. This could be a great place if the food was better. We most likely will not return."

  • "The seated us on a Friday night which wasn't even busy. We sat there for 20 minutes and didn't even have someone get our drink order. We got up and left. NEVER going back here again."

  • "My wife and I had to celebrate Valentine's on Saturday, and the date night menu did not disappoint. The blue crab dip and cheeseboard were great appetizers. My wife had baked chicken w/lobster Mac & cheese, and I had the braised ribs w/cauliflower purée. Both were outstanding! Braised rib was melt in your mouth good. Great red wine with the meal too. An excellent meal for the money."

  • "Hats off to the Chef the choices and food were excellent. Our server was always in a hurry, didn't know the menu choices well, left our champagne glasses empty, and we felt rushed. Overall an enjoyable dinner."

  • "I was disappointed in the choices that were given for our special Valentine evening. My husband got the scallops which he enjoyed. I ordered the bison because it was the only other choice besides chicken and I can eat chicken at home. After I got the bison, I wished that I had ordered the chicken. I could not eat the bison. It was tough and almost sour. But, since our waiter never came to check on us after we were served, I did not have the opportunity to change my meal. He seemed more interested in tables around us who were evidently his regulars. He finally returned to bring us our dessert choice. My chocolate bread pudding was inedible and hard as a rock. Not a good choice for a special evening...AND, "Prix fixe" was $90 a couple"

  • "The Broad St. Grille offers a special meaning to "living the good life" occasionally. The five-course menu on Valentine Day, with complimentary champagne, was special. The food and service has always been exceptional each time we visited."

  • "Searching for a new place to dine before going to a play, and looked the Broad Street Grille. Very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, clean and everyone appeared very professional. The table was ready at the requested time and the servers were on top of every need. They were well versed in the menu offerings and provided the detail necessary to make our choices. The food was presented very nicely and tasted as great as it looked. Ingredients were fresh and paired well with the menu offerings. Will definitely return, and bring others with us."

  • "First time at BSG. Went on steak night (Fridays). Three of us ordered the prime rib which said it had been marinated for 3 days - didn't taste any marinade. The prime rib had an unusually high amount of fat. Fourth diner had the ribeye. None appeared to be high grades of beef. Description of ribeye was that it was served with oven roasted potatoes, but came with mashed potatoes. They were out of the first wine ordered."

  • "I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten, very tender and tasty. The French press coffee was also outstanding. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The cheesecake generous and very good. The scallop appetizer was scanty, however, but tasty, and the cheese sampler appetizer mediocre, in my opinion."

  • "Food was great, only exception was the cream brule. The steak was prepared to perfection which is rare. I feel it is fairly expensive for the general public, if it were not for the discount coupon I couldn't eat there due to prices."

  • "The food was excellent. The service was prompt and considerate. This was the occasion of my wife's birthday. And, the Broad Street Grill and it's staff made the evening a memorable and very special event."

  • "I had a business lunch meeting in the restaurants private dining room. It was a great location that provided attentive service, good food variety and quality. I learned about their date night promotion and plan to try it out in the very near future."

  • "No question food was excellent, we had 4 in our party reservations were made for BSG Saturday's Date Night. At $69 for 2 includes a bottle of wine you can't find a better deal anywhere in Chattanooga. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Next trip back will be for Friday's steak night."

  • "Thanksgiving menu was great and the service was excellent. Christmas lunch was a completely different experience. The menu was not as good. Also, even though I made the reservation a month in advance and told them I was bringing two young children with me, they sat me and my family in the bar area at a tiny table that was six feet off the ground. I noticed they had crossed out our original table number and substituted us into that bar table. It took about thirty minutes of pleading for them to change our table to one more family friendly in the main dining room where I did not have to worry about my kids falling and hurting themselves and that was large enough for us to put all of our plates on."

  • "My wife and I were in town for the Southern Scuffle Wrestling tournament. Since we were staying at the hotel we decided to have dinner at the Broad Street Grille, what a great decision we made. The New Years Eve Package that they put together was outstanding. The food was terrific and the service was second to none. We will be dinning there again next year when we come back to town."

  • "My wife and had been here before and wanted to try it again since the menu has changed. We were pleased with most of the food. I had the steak which was delicious. My wife had an appetizer (meatloaf) and salad. Since bison has virtually no fat, the meatloaf was dry. Fortunately, the salad was very good and satisfying. Our waiter must have had other things on his mind as we rarely saw him. This was disappointing because we both needed drink refills. We'll go back and hope for better service."

  • "A staff member when seating guests, should let the guests know that brunch has many lines. We sat where people somehow thought THE line formed. As a result people waited needlessly in the desert line for quite awhile, when they were just beginning their meal. We also had people standing around our table, which is less than comfortable. The wait staff was having trouble passing and service was delayed because of the congestion. Other than that, it was most pleasant."

  • "I've only been to this restaurant on group outings(breakfast and lunch). Everytime we go to the restaurant, it is clean and the service pretty good. The menu doesn't fluctuate often, but that is reflected in the $11 buffet price which includes drink or coffee. Overall, I love this restaurant for groups."

  • "Arrived a bit early, and was graciously and quickly seated - the staff was attentive, but at the same time allowed us to enjoy ourselves (once we explained we were in no hurry, and there for a nice easy evening) - food was terrific, priced as advertised - no complaints what so ever from this pleased party of two. Again - Kudos..!!!"

  • "I took my wife to Broad Street Grille's Date Night last evening for her birthday. This was our first time to visit the Grille, and we were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone we encountered. We had a wonderful dinner, from our arrival greeting to our departure with our boxes. Our waiter was very attentive, the food was marvelous, and the wine was delicious. After the entrees, the waiter brought out a scrumptious German chocolate cake with a lighted candle to help us celebrate the occasion, I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "After we were seated, we waited an hour an a half between ordering entrees and actually receiving them and maybe longer. This may have been okay if they were busy, but they were maybe at 1/3 capacity on a Friday night. I was ashamed that I'd reserved this for my mom's birthday, though she was polite about it. Everyone in our party joked about what you would have to do to actually place a drink order or get some food at that place. My sister in law asked that they bring my nephew's order as soon as possible because he was fussy and his was the last to arrive at the table. The staff were nice when we saw them, but for the prices, it wasn't worth all the wait!"

  • "We would not have chosen the resturanat if it had not been fro the coupon. However we were deligted with the food, service and ambience. It was an off nite, not many folks around but the wait staff were attentive and the food was wonderful. Great meal and service."

  • "The food was amazing - we arrived on Date Nite and choose to do the package deal which included 4 courses and a bottle of wine. Choose the seared tuna and farmhouse cheese plate appetizers which were wonder, the 2nd course included a Parsnip soup that left me wanting to lick the bowl, and the 3rd/main course was just delectable and you could really tell all the ingredients were the freshest local ingredients available. The 4th course (desert) was mini shots of banana pudding, strawberry shortcake, and carrot cake that seemed out of place with the other amazing courses. The other desert choices not included in the Date Nite menu were more in line with what I expected to see. Great value for the price!! Went back for Brunch the next day."
