On top of our waitress being incredibly helpful to our tourist questions, she was extremely attentive and knowledgeable on the menu items. The chef had great choices on the buffet and offered plenty of smiles and laughs in mere moments. The chicken dumplings were AMAZING!

  • Disappointing Sunday Brunch

My wife and I had reservations and were seated quickly. Unfortunately, there was a delay until our server took our drink order. Food was overcooked for the most of the buffet (Barbeque chicken, prime rib and fish). Chicken and Waffles were (chicken) fried to a crisp. The best brunch offerings were the grits, sausage and belgian waffles. The omelette station was not marked and my wife and I heard several patrons asking where to order omelettes. We do not plan to return.

Having made reservations for a Monday night, my wife and I arrived to an almost empty restaurant. Having had this happen before one first asks, what's wrong with this place, or is it just Monday night? Thankfully we believe it was "just Monday night". From the great waiter, Loren Dunn, to the delectable meal that was brought to us, everything was excellent. The first course of 3 sausages, Chicken, Buffalo, and Duck were wonderful. My wife's Salmon was prepared with the most wonderful of flavors and ingredient's. My steak could not have been any better, and I enjoyed it more than the "$other steakhouse$" . The wine list had an excellent variety. Next time in Chattanooga, Broad Street Grille will be a return visit.

I was very excited about this restaurant and went to date night. Menu was hard to read, very greasy crostini as appetizer with hummus. Salads were mediocre, salmon was good but butternut risotto was too greasy, not enough flavor. Oh and tuna appetizer, not really seared & no flavor to butternut purée with it, the two did not complement each other. Also ambiance should have had tablecloths, candles & flowers for the date night feature.

But not great. I believe the biggest issue is that it is just a little over priced. Or it could be that the smaller portions are not offset by amazing taste to neccessitate the price. I won't complain about a high price/small portion if the flavor is 10 out of 10 but it was average flavor. The service was good because the waiter was nice, but it took 2 hours, and the place was no where near packed. Again, overall, good place to eat. Nice atmosphere. Convenient to the Chattanoogan because it is in the hotel

  • Champagne brunch is decent
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 10/19/2014
The high point of the Sunday champagne brunch is the champagne. I was expecting a little better atmosphere and better service from this restaurant, but got a distinctly hotelish vibe. The cheese selection was good and the salad was fresh, but the remainder of the food was average. Grits, eggs, some veggies, waffle station, omelet station, carving station, etc...but nothing creative. We rarely saw the server throughout brunch. This was disappointing, especially considering our water glasses and champagne glasses remained empty for much of the meal. The main deal here is that the champagne is included with the meal, and there is a wide variety of basic food items to choose from on the buffet.

Made an online reservation. Arrived 5 minutes early and they were waiting on us. Took us to the Chef's table and the meal began. Had no idea we so special but ordered nothing and were brought an over the top appetizer, salad, most ever tender beef short ribs and finally beef tenderloin medallions or that was what we were told anyway. That was the only reason I didn't give a 5 star for the entire meal as whatever it was that was presented as beef tenderloin medallions was so tough neither my wife or I could chew it. The meal ended with another over the top item, desert (pumpkin cream broullie'). Hands down this meal was fantastic and the chef's service was also outstanding. This is definitely THE place to visit.

This is a great restaurant for an elegant date night. This time around I took my wife and grandson. This was our chance to get the grandson to try something different than the burger scene. Susan and I had the prime rib, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Blake had the "Naked" chicken and he said that it was one of the best meals that he had ever eaten. I like the field-to-table concept. The vegetable selections were spot on. The servers could be just a tad more attentive although we have no complaints. This restaurant is a local gem and is definitely on my top three list.

After waiting for 25 minutes for menus to be brought, we should have listened to our instincts and left. Appetizers took over 35 minutes to come out Steak was cooked properly, but was cold Portion sizes were ridiculous: 1 short rib for an entrée; 2x2 piece of fish for entrée Some of food was inedible: side with fish (I think sweet potatoes, but couldn't be sure) swam in oil; peanut hummus; Caesar salad Majority of food was not seasoned: steak, fish, salad dressing

Sunday is brunch only and popular with locals donning their Sunday best. This is obviously the place to be and it accommodates large groups with ease and with a very reasonable price. Diners will encounter a wide range of food selections with a many foods that are popular in the south (Cajun seasonings, fried alligator, fried chicken & waffles, and dirty rice) along with made to order omelettes, carve roast beef and many other selections. Food and service is good.

The food and ambiance of the restaurant were excellent. There was one very troubling issue. The coffee cups, water glasses and plates were not consistently clean. We found ourselves checking everything prior to use. There is obviously a problem with the dishwasher and we brought it to the attention of our server. I am certain it will be corrected as the attention to detail and overall quality of presentation and preparation of food was otherwise superb.

My guest and I went for Low Country Boil. BSG does it the last Friday of the month each month, and for $23, it's well worth the price. I had only crab legs and shrimp. The crab legs were cooked perfectly, so shelling the meat was a breeze. The shrimp was tender, moist, and spicy with Cajun seasoning. My guest tried everything on the buffet. The only complaint he had was that the gumbo had too much butter, so it was greasy. Maybe a bit too much roux? Everything else was a hit for him. I'll be back for it again later!

OK. Have been here before and the meal was decent. This time not so good. There were 4 of us. 3 had the house salad which was OK. I ordered the beet salad which was terrible (I should have sent it back). Although it stated a roasted beet salad the beets were NOT cooked and so thick I had to use my steak knife to cut them. We all ordered steak, and they were good. They accompanied by mashed potatoes which shall we say not to warm. Desserts were good and the service on the plus side was excellent.

    Dined on 7/25/2014
I made a reservation for a breakfast work meeting with my whole department. I had called ahead to check the menu, because several in our party have special diets. I was told there was a huge variety of food selections. However we were very disappointed with the selections when we arrived. There was very little food out, hardly any fruit, and a long wait if you wanted a waffle, or omelet. I am not sure if it was the time of day we arrived, but the food was very limited. The waitress was nice and friendly, and what food we had was good. We were just disappointed at the limited amount of food available.
