Diner Reviews
  • "The hamburgers are very good BUT this night the A/C was broken and this is in Texas in the summer and also half way thru karaoke the power went off on the stage. We left at that point. Also been at Brizo's in the past many times and the service needs improvement. They need more people!"

  • "This establishment should not be advertised as a restaurant or even a bar. It may qualify as a "snack bar. From the minute you walk in it just dissapoints. The decor is not non-descript - it is non-existent. There is nothing but boring tables that you would see in a motel breakfast area. The staff and the food was good but even that does not make up for the feeling of being in a dive. There were stacks of tables and chairs in full view of the "dining area" so I really felt that I had to be in the wrong place but the bartender (who became our waiter) assured me that I was in the right place. This place is a joke."

  • "Menu featured wide choice of food. Selections were delicious. Our group consisted of 9 adults. Server was friendly, professional & courteous. We enjoyed the evening."

  • "We will not return. Food was ok--overpriced. We were seated in the bar since the main dining room was reserved for a wedding. I was expecting an elegant dinner with nice atmosphere and got a sterile bar, overpriced, glorified bar food and exceptionally poor service. If the main dining room wasn't available, they should not have accepted reservations online."

  • "This place is a hidden gem. Accent on the hidden. It is in a remote area of Lago Vista behind a security gate upstairs in a parking garage with limited signage as to its whereabouts. But once there it is really nice with a nicw lake view and a great menu at reasonable prices with wine also priced reasonably. Probably the only fine dining available in the Lago Vista area."

  • "We had a really nice time, and loved the Karaoke night on Friday - mostly 50 somethings, and those who sang had voices worth hearing. Very fun, nice view."

  • "The cost of the brunch was a little out of line for the spread tht was served."

  • "Both times (Easter & Mother's Day) we reserved the 2nd seating (12noon) and items had not been replenished in preparation for that seating or needed to be stirred so they were kept warm. At Easter an Omelet Station was advertised and there wasn't one (at least for the 12 seasting). We enjoy the atmosphere and the service, but the amount charged (29.99 pp) was too much for what was offered."

  • "I had a group of 9 friends for food and drinks and it was outstanding. The food was great, the service was outstanding and friendly - you have the best kept secret in Lago Vista and the surrounding area. My many thanks."

  • "We made reservations for the Easter Brunch for 1200PM and were very dissappointed that a lot of the food was already gone. We especially missed the prime rib since that is why we came. Mgmt gave us 2 meals for the price of one which was very nice and fair, but we were still very dissappointed. I would suggest that folks who come early with out reservations should pay a extra fee, maybe 1 and 1/2 the regular price. It is not fair that they mess up the day for others with no penalty. See you next year."

  • "There are not a lot of choices available if you want to just to stay there on the Island to eat. It was convenient and the scenery was nice. The people were nice, but the food was pretty disappointing for the prices charged and the menu was quite limited. I assume this is all due to the fact there are just not enough visitors to make this work well."

  • "Good food and attentive waitstaff-menu is short. I like it there."

  • "The menu is short, the food is great and so was the service. The karaoke @ 9 was unusually good-no duds. Mainly older crowd who were very pleasant. I'm doing it again."

  • "The waiter was nice and was the highlight of the visit. The first class of wine, only one Cabernet to choose from, was horrible. It was replaced by a Merlot, again only one choice, which I think had been open at the bar for a couple of days, was also horrible. When asked about the gluten-free nature of the rice, we were shown a box of Uncle Ben's Pilaf. The New York strip was good. The glass of water, desperately needing a slice of lemon, tasted like it was poured over river rocks before being served. Overall we give it a 2 out of 10."

  • "Took "laid back Austin" to a new level. Staff seemed clueless to our reservation and proper service once we were seated. Took over two hours before dinners were on table. Food was cold and dried out. Suggest getting in the car and driving to any other options on/near the lake."

  • "I was surprised to discover that this restaurant has been open for at least 2 years. Limited menu, but nice ambiance and the food is tasty."

  • "No need for a reservation here, the place was empty, except for one other table. Server was friendly. The view is spectacular. The food was pricey for a sub par quality."
