BRIZAbeautiful appearance. pleasingbeautiful appearance. pleasing food presentation. Food taste good to very good. Service excellent: warm and attentive.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMthe 'other' Mother's Day dinnermy son and mother are living 7,000 miles away - so Mother's Day becomes a different meaning. However, my husband and I decided to nevertheless to out for dinner - to a place that didn't really promote this special day.
It was the absolutely right choice - we had a wonderful dinner in great ambience, not crowded at all. We enjoyed the evening very much and will for sure comeback.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchService was tops. We went early for a good seat even though we had reservations. Mixed review on the food. Food was a la carte, no buffet. That's not a bad thing. Eggs were cooked perfect. Hollandaise was made in house and was delicious. But the disappointing items were the potatoes and sausage! The potatoes were very dry. Took one bite and had to drink water to get it down. The sausages were also dry and tasteless. The contrast was startling. How can a kitchen make a wonderfully delicious sauce and cut corners on items that round out the dish?
I think I'd like to give them another chance just because they made their own hollandaise sauce, the crusty Brioche toast wasn't burnt, and they got good review in the past. But it will be dinner.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFranklin was extremely educatedFranklin was extremely educated on his level of wine service. He was very personable and made it a great experience. Deanna was awesome as well, it was such a great night!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing experience!!!We went to Briza for my husbands birthday. From the moment we walked to the moment we left we were treated with such class. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back and bring our friends. The food was fantastic and the experience was absolutely top notch. To top it all off, we were greeted with a surprise bottle of champagne to celebrate the Birthday boy's special day. Amazing!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went a bit early, so IWe went a bit early, so I can't comment on the typical crowd as it was fairly empty, but the food was a definite win. Around the table we enjoyed the duck confit, organic chicken, and short ribs. The duck confit with the forbidden rice (whatever that is), was absolutely amazing. Combining the duck, with the rice, and a touch of the blood orange was a "perfect fork" for tasting.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMyummy foodvery good food. wait staff needs to learn more about what is on th amazing cheese plate. could eat a full plate of crispy brussel sprouts every day (talk about making a healthy food fatteningly unhealthy but delicious)!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch Nice PeopleWe had a lovely Easter at Briza. The team seemed to be really in synch and everyone was so positive and fun. They had a easter egg hunt for the kids at their rooftop bar gardens which was very sweet..the kids loved it which is always a plus. The food was good but what really made it memorable was the ambiance and energy. Our server was so nice and there were several other people who stopped by to check on us who were very hospitable. My husband and I will definitely return without the kids so we can enjoy the bar upstairs and their dinner menu which looked really good. Found it because it was close to the church but found a place we hope to make one of favorites..also free parking!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third visit andThis was our third visit and each time we've enjoyed it more. The menu, while limited, offers interesting choices and has changed a little since our last visit. While we have only been here early for pre-concert dinner when it has not been very crowded, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend for any type occasion.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant never disappointsThis restaurant never disappoints us at all. The food is to die for and the service is impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Choice after TheatreThe staff was very attentive and cheerful. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Yum!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWill get a second chanceNice ambiance, very comfortable seating, attentive waitstaff. The food is a creative style of local favorites, chicken and waffles; to a tasty steak tartar.
The main course Berkshire pork chop was overcooked and the sides were overly spiced. The short ribs were a very small portion, but the sides stood out. We will try this restaurant again to see if it was just an off night. The location lends itself to a second chance when we go to the Fox Theater.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful decor and dinnerBRIZA is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. Our server was a manager, and she was very accommodating. The food was presented in a lovely manner. Our dinners were well prepared. We went there before a show at the Fox, so we appreciated the complementary valet parking at the restaurant which is only a few blocks from the theater. (We did not leave the car at the restaurant, but at least we did not have to pay for parking twice.) BRIZA is definitely on our list of "return to" places.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMChose Briza for my birthdayChose Briza for my birthday dinner because it is one of our favorite places. Was not disappointed - had a lovely time and delicious dinner. The duck confit is wonderful. Phillipa did a great job taking care of us.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent gem in mid-town...wonderfExcellent gem in mid-town...wonderful food and excellent service3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Experience!Briza has an awesome ambiance and amazing service. The food is good although some of it sounds totally whacky...like one of those chefs who does thing just because you can not because you should. Our server was actually the manager which made it even more fun as she was so passionate. We tried both specials. The one with salmon was awesome..the other one was so crazy sounding we had to try and it was $16 wasted. All of our entrees were amazing and the drinks were great. We WILL go back...but probably stick to the menu.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third visit toThis was my third visit to the restaurant. Service was great. My guest loved the ambiance and the fact that it was quiet after a busy work day.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and deliciousI went to dinner to catch up with a good friend, and I chose Briza because it is a beautiful restaurant with lots of comfortable banquettes for private conversation. It is easy to get in and out, service is very attentive service, and the atmosphere is lovely. But it's the food that really impresses! Wow! Cocktails are creative and delicious. The menu is interesting and varied, and the food is absolutely fantastic! The flavor combinations are amazing and execution is perfect. This is one of Atlanta's finest culinary gems.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAn invitation worth accepting!Yum! We received an offer to earn Marriott Rewards points by dining at BRIZA and aren’t we glad we did! I would not normally consider a restaurant situated within a hotel as destination dining – my mind has been changed. I had the short rib which was paired with potato puree, fig and baby carrots, and, I cleaned my plate. The short rib was nothing less than excellent. My partner had seared tuna with polenta, oxtail and kale chips. Each offering was good in its own right, but neither of us were sure how these four items fit together. Nonetheless, we had a great experience and will be sure to return to this Midtown find soon.12/28/2012 12:00:00 AM
