  • "The hostess - excellent! Manager - excellent! Dessert - excellent! Ambiance - sexy! Waiter - very pleasant but not as attentive considering only 5 tables had guests. Now, the food - steamed oysters, lobster home fries, bbq chicken and waffles....NOT so much. The texture, temp, and presentation of everything was spot on but the flavor fell way short. Atlanta's restaurants are among some of the best in the world...step up your game Briza...the potential is certainly there!"

  • "Had a wonderful experience. Service, drinks and good was great. Ordered the waffle and chicken bites, great way to start the meal. Drinks were prepared perfectly. Wife had Sea Bass and I ordered the smoked and fried chicken entree, prepared to perfection. Would recommend Briza to anyone who is looking for a spot in Mid-Town."

  • "The restaurant is beautiful but we should have known it wasn't going to be good since there was hardly anyone there on a Sat night. Although no one was truly pleased with their meal, mine was truly the worst. I ordered the sirloin (medium). It was to come with a warm bacon potato salad and green beans. I substituted sautéed spinach for the beans. What I got was a burned, beyond well done piece of beef that was so over cooked, it was curled up on my plate. The spinach looked like it hadn't been cooked at all except from the heat of the steak. I did not get potatoes. We were with friends that we hadn't seen in a long time so I didn't say anything, besides it was truly beyond repair for me."

  • "Roy the waiter was great! Our steaks were amazing (they do some kind of rub with coffee and sugar). But, they need to hire a new hostess immediately. She was not at her post to greet anyone at the door. She was too busy setting up tables for the next day's service. Then, I went into the women's bathroom and found NO toilet paper and the two trash cans completely overflowing with trash all over the middle of the floor. Many moons ago I worked in a restaurant, and the general tidiness of the bathroom was the responsibility of hostess. I do not think anyone had been there the entire day, it was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a restaurant like this."

  • "I have made it my goal to try a new restaurant every month and Briza was this month's choice. I went with my girlfriend and we ordered a bottle of wine which was a little overpriced for the taste but the flavor was decent. We had the scallops appetizer. These were amazing. I suppose for $16 they should be pretty good, which they were. For dinner she ordered the porkchop, the waiter said the cook suggests medium but she got medium well (it's pork so better safe than sorry) and I ordered the filet. I ordered the steak medium well, the outside was medium well to well but the inside was definitely medium rare to medium which makes me think they are not that great at cooking steaks. They remade it and it was decent, next time I'll grill my own."

  • "My wife and I were visiting Atlanta for a show and decided to go here. The host was very nice, the ambience was amazing, and the food was excellent. The only thing that was slightly amiss was our server. He was by no means bad, but he seemed mildly pretentious. That being said, I would gladly go back. I would definitely recommend Briza to anyone looking for excellent food with a unique atmosphere."

  • "The duck was exceptional. The flavors were very well balanced. The snapper was uneventful in comparison, even with the lobster fries. We would love to see some additional (southern inspired) vegetable dishes. The south is so much more than mac and cheese and we have become much more savy regarding the infamous "green" southern veggies. Overall, the experience, service and food were very positive and we will recommend the restaurant to our friends."

  • "This was our first visit, but will not be our last. Everything from the wine to the appetizer (bay scallops) to our entrees (duck for my husband, sea bass for me) was superb. We shared a chocolate panna cotta for dessert, which was light and delicious. A very enjoyable dining experience."

  • "We joined another couple for a Valentine weekend dinner. All four of us are difficult to impress but everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The filet mignon was excellent and perfectly seasoned, as was the salmon and sea bass. Even the basic arugula salad was impressive. We also enjoyed the chicken and waffles, and steak tartar appetizers, both delicious. Drinks and desserts were excellent, too. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable, as was every member of the staff. Our sincere compliments to the chef and a huge thank you for accommodating food allergies, too! This was one of the best meals I've had in Atlanta and I look forward to going back for more."

  • "Great restaurant! The decor is simple, yet elegant and absolutely beautiful. We had a very good waiter. He was attentive, helpful and had a great sense of humor. Everything we tasted was fantastic. The steak tartar is really not to be missed. The entrees were all very good and, for a nice change, the portions weren't enough to feed a family of four. Cocktails were outstanding as well. Really nothing but great things to say about Briza. Will definitely return."

Food came to the table obviously having sat at the wait station for some time, as the plates were just barely warm. My salmon was undercooked, even though I like the fish medium rare, and had to be sent back for further cooking. Desserts were the best part of the meal. Not a place I would recommend."

  • "Briza has a beautiful modern contemporary decor and friendly, attentive wait staff. The food was good but not great. It is a farm to table restaurant. I ordered the smoked fried chicken which tasted good but was a little dry. My guest had the short rib which was tasty. I would say this is more of a 2nd date spot as the entrées are in the mid 20 to mid 30 dollar range. Drinks are about 12 to 20 and beers start at 5 for domestic. I would definitely go back."

  • "We were staying in the hotel and had heard good things about the restaurant, so we decided to try it. The service was not good. Our server was not knowledgable about the menu, bar drinks and then didn't turn our order in right. The restaurant looked to be understaffed for the number of tables. Our server never came back to refill drinks or check on us after the food was delivered making us have to flag someone else down to get our orders corrected. The food was marginal at best. Steaks were cooked correctly but had no flavor, same with the other main dishes. Overall, I would not recommend someone waste their time here when there are other great restaurants within walking distance."

With so many good restaurants in Atlanta, trying something new so unnecessary, but nonetheless, sometimes the bug bites. We are so =glad it did. We found this well-reviewed restaurant on Open Table and made our plans. We had a delightful evening, good service, beautiful decor, very good food. THe Sea bass was excellent; the appetizers were delightful and tasty (three of us shared oysters and beef tartar). The mac and cheese was good but not great. I only regret that all three of us ordered the sea bass; I wish we could have tried different things so we could all have had a taste of a variety of Braza's fare."

  • "I decided to dine out with a friend for Christmas and chose Briza based on the reviews from other diners. The Christmas special was Prime Rib with garlic mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I sent it back because the Prime Rib had the consistency of a frozen steak that had been quick thawed and popped on the grill. The texture was unpalatable. They took it back and brought me a ribeye steak with fingerling potatoes and chopped up haricot verdes. The potatoes were mushy/over cooked but the steak was passable. Although I did not enjoy my dinner I would give this restaurant another try. But never again on a holiday."

  • "On Thanksgiving, not wanting to cook, we made a reservation for an early dinner. We were told that the special Thanksgiving menu would not be available until later in the day. However we are not tied to having to have turkey, a great dining experience is better. When we arrived, we were surprised to find that we were the only ones dining in the restaurant. This allowed us the unprecedented ability to enjoy the staff coddling including a table side chat with the chef. She was delightful. As well as the head of catering and our "own" bartender. It was magical and special. Thank you Briza for making this Thanksgiving a truly memorable one."

  • "We went to celebrate our 24th anniversary. The server was very nice and many of the staff already knew why we were there and congratulated us, this was a very nice touch!! The food was quite good, with the exception of 2 dishes - A clam chowder "special" that essentially required you to remove ALL the clams from their shell AND a dessert item that was supposed to be a mousse cake, but each component was separate. We had a chuckle over these 2 items, but our entrees were TERRIFIC!!! My wife had the Filet and I the Sea Bass (we highly recommend both!). Oh, don't waste your $$'s on the oyster appetizer, far too tiny & very little flavor.... Would I return? I don't know, there are many other places to go & enjoy."

The food was great we had the smoked chicken, duck and salmon along with the pots de crème and smores for dessert and would highly recommend them all. The wait staff was very good. The only criticism was the speed of the kitchen staff. We figured an hour and half would be plenty of time for dinner and ended up being late for the show."

  • "My overall experience was excellent. The restaurant's ambiance was comfortable, pleasant and quiet. But the most important factor is the food. I tried 2 appetizers, their duck confit and 2 of their desserts. All tasted great and prepared to my liking. Located near Georgia Tech and near the center of Atlanta, this is a restaurant I will return to and hope to experience the same dinner quality."
