  • "The atmosphere was just lovely, beautiful gardens, patio seating was perfect, waiter was terrific, food was good. Will return at some time when in Napa. Gaga"

  • "Tough, thin, expensive rib eye. Pretty sure it wasn't prime. Very disappointed."

  • "Amazing place. Great cocktail, salad, and lamb dish. Overall top 5 of napa places I've been."

  • "I will keep this short. Great food, Great service (Host, Bartender, and Waiter), and a great view."

  • "Brunch is worth every penny. Amazing buffet brunch! And the gardens are great for a stroll around. I came here with a somewhat large group (8 people) and there were plenty of choices for everyone. Would definitely recommend for a Sunday morning."

  • "We went there on a recommendation of a resident. It's a beautiful restaurant, very loud inside dining. The patio looked beautiful. The cocktail list and wine list were impressive. We ordered the Prawn appetizer. Very good! There were two prawns on a beautiful plating. I ordered the flank steak and it was tasty, as were the Brussel Sprouts. My husband had the sea scallops. There were THREE average sized scallops on a bed of toasted almonds and about 10 snap peas. It was very disappointing. When we told the waiter that we were disappointed, he replied that that was their standard plating. For the price paid, the menu might have reflected the portion size. Would not recommend this restaurant. Service bordered on negligent."

  • "My husband and I recently visiting Brix for lunch while in the Napa area. Everything was truly top notch- from the service to the food to the ambience. Amazing!!!! We'll definitely be back!"

  • "We were a rather large group (8) the waiter was amazing, he took great care of us, we never had to ask for anything, he was on it. We asked for separate checks as couples, and he even split the corkage fee."

  • "Our second time at Brix and next time we will read the reviews before returning. Unsurpassed outdoor dining experience and a broad and creative menu is undone by too much salt. I couldn't eat the steamed arugula because of the salt and the potatoes were only slightly more edible. My wife had the same experience with her meal...we left a lot of food on the plates. The cheesecake was wonderful...I love the toasted coconut in the crust!"

  • "The atmosphere, food and servicre was superb. The waiter had a wonderful personality and very knowledgeable. It was our friends birthday and they had a card for her."

  • "We enjoyed the restaurant for lunch mid week very much! Loved the wines and the service was very good. We thought the food was wonderful but I didn't get enough pastrami on my sandwich. Granted it was Wagyu pastrami which is expensive for them to serve on a sandwich but if you're not going to do it right, don't do it. Adjust the bread size if that's all you'll put on a sandwich. It was all very delicious though. Dessert included was wonderful."

  • "We have eaten at Brix occasionally for years. Good food and over the years reasonably priced. Lamb main course to die for. But on this most recent visit our guest noticed right away "this place is expensive." The signature lamb dish was $38. The meal was good with large portions, but it was not a four or five star meal as the prices would suggest. I would prefer smaller proportions and a lower price."

  • "Whenever we are in Napa we make it a priority to have Sunday Brunch at Brix. They have a great selection of both breakfast and lunch items, always fresh, items do not sit out and dry out. This trip I had the El Diablo margarita and it was spicy and delicious. Nice to wander around in the gardens either post or pre brunch"

  • "I love to go to this Resturant for Sunday Brunch. I travel to there from Oakland just to have brunch there,l although io would like to try lunch or dinner in the future. The wait staff is always the most professional and courteous. Love to take a walk through the outside area after dining...so peaceful and beautiful. I would highly recommend this Resturant to anyone without(no pun) reserve."

  • "This is the second time we have eaten at Brix and the menu did not disappoint. The service was a little spotty but that may have been due to us not knowing exactly what we wanted and when we did we were waiting on our server to return. The wine list was quite extensive and the staff knowledgeable with recommendations. The food was fabulous especially the Summer Squash Salad and Scallops."

  • "There are many fine restaurants on Napa County, many with outdoor dining as an option. This is the best of them all."

  • "Outdoor dinning is fantastic overlooking the gardens and vineyard. Service was excellent along with the BCellars wine parings. The starter and the mussel appetizer were excellent but the quantity was sub par. The skirt steak entree was tasty but tough. The birthday dessert (chocolate cake and ice cream with nuts) was also outstanding."

  • "Brix is better than ever. Always good, the addition of a new chef seems to have taken Brix to the next level. First, this is the first time any restaurant has ever mentioned the "gluten free" request I placed when making the reservation on Open Table - cudos to our server Brad. Each of our apps and entrees was beautifully constructed and looked and simply tasted fantastic. Very impressive."

  • "We had a nice lunch at Brix. Service, atmosphere, and the view outside are great. Unfortunately, the food left something to be desired. The grilled artichokes and Brussel Sprouts were drenched in oil. The steak was chewy. The salmon was good but the green vegetables were chewy. If it weren't for the atmosphere and patio view I probably won't go back."

  • "We loved this restaurant. Make a reservation, worth every penny to enjoy the beautiful views. Relaxing dinner, not rushed. Great service from all. I enjoyed an awesome tomato bisque soup and a fabulous berkshire pork with apricot sauce, while my husband polished off forno roasted prawns and a melt-in-your-mouth sea bass. Excellent meal with many of the ingredients right from the garden. Happy to revisit anytime."

  • "Celebrating a 60th birthday at Brix, my family was thrilled with the spectacular views, creative dinner menu and delicious food! The service was prompt and responsive, without being overwhelming. Fortunately, the evening weather was just perfect, to make our overall experience a very special one. Would recommend Brix to everyone!"

  • "We came back after eight years away. The food was still awesome. The service was excellent. The gardens were still beautiful. One of the chefs was picking fresh herbs and explained the reason for plants (need for pollination) and their organization within the garden. We will be coming back one day."

  • "The restaurant patio view is spectacular however best enjoyed for dinner or a meal other than the weekend brunch. The food is ambitious but not all was well executed. The seafood was the best option along with the omelette station. The bloody mary mix was freshly made and delicious. I wouldn't recommend this again to friends and visitors."

  • "View is to die for...bucolic, lush, varied, one of best parts of this restaurant (we were on the patio) Food was delicious, excellent summer squash salad, multi colored, fresh tastes brussel sprouts, perfectly done, Pizza delicious, scallops w/almonds, only 3 for $33. but taste was great. One person had steak but I did not taste it, she said it was good however. Her french fries were to die for. Service a tad sketchy at times, we felt forgotten toward the end, but I would still definitely go to this restaurant again."

  • "Delicious food!! Hostesses very welcoming! We were a bit disappointed in our waiter because he wasn't hospitable or engaging in any way...he didn't want to describe food, ingredients or how it was prepared. He just wanted our order. The setting is lovely. Tip: After you get your drinks and are waiting for your food, enjoy strolling through the gardens and the beautiful views."

  • "This was our second time to Brix. We were a bit put off at the start as the hostess was unable to seat us even though there were empty tables and I had reserved a table outside. Our waiter seems distracted and our salad was late. All the food was delicious. Our waiter apologized for the delay and did not charge us corkage. We appreciate his admission. We will go back there again."

  • "Everything was so wonderful. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating...and great sense of humor! The food was some of the best we've ever had. The Caprese salad appetizer and the brussel sprouts especially were the best ever!! The scenery, the location, the ambience, absolutely perfect. Thank you so very much!!! We'll be back next time we're in California."

  • "We enjoyed another outstanding brunch on Sunday as this is our regular brunch spot when we visit Napa. After a great wine dinner on Saturday night, we went to Brix to relax and enjoy some outstanding food from the brunch buffet menu they offer on Sundays. All the items were fresh and the omlet station is superb. Thank you for another outstanding experience."

  • " Brix offers a very well-executed farm-to-table menu, incorporating creative uses of in-season vegetables to enhance their main dishes. I had whitefish---perfectly pan-seared and artistically wreathed by a fennel relish and colorful "petals" of specially prepared turnips and radishes. The presentation was absolutely delightful, and the flavors were fabulous. The pre-dinner focaccia they served was divine! So was the honey-lavender ice cream that accompanied my dessert! If you can, ask to be seated outside where tables overlook the vegetable garden with vineyards extending beyond--a perfect setting for soaking in Napa scenery, fine wine and great food!"

  • "I love this place. Been coming for 20+ years. Nice decor but the gem is the outdoor dining area and the next-to-the vineyards lounge chairs and tables for an after dinner cognac or coffee. Big issue was the noise, not from the patrons but from the music. I asked the manger to turn it down so that the four in my party could talk (and spend more money). He didn't but the nice waiter did. Other patrons nearby thanked me. Folks, speak up! Don't let the restaurants (not just this place) play loud music. It should be low ambiance not noisy!"

  • "We have dined at Brix several times in the past, and it never fails to impress. Much of their produce comes from their own raised gardens which can be viewed from the dining area. Our entire meal was excellent, with friendly and helpful servers. I especially enjoyed the grilled artichoke with aioli. I can't wait to go again, it was worth the entire trip!"

  • "Brix has a beautiful garden setting and very wide variety of foods for brunch from made-to-order omelets, to seafood, to breads, to desserts. We understand they also have a wonderful wine cellar and fine dining for lunch and dinner, but we didn't sample that. The service was attentive, but not hovering. Our problem was having to make choices in our attempt not to over eat."

  • "We live in Napa, and we hopped online to review the menus of many of the new restaurants that have opened up over the past several months. Several restaurants had very impressive menus that catered to a specific-style of cuisine, but none looked as appealing as Brix. We ordered SEVERAL items off the menu (and one of the daily specials), and shared our plates. We sat outside on the patio where we enjoyed the setting sun, ambiance of the garden, and views of the vineyards and western hillsides. Our service was good and the food quality was great. Pricing for our meal was reasonable, especially compared to several of the other popular restaurants in the Napa Valley. We have been here before, and look forward to returning again soon."

  • "Very, very disappointed. We travel to napa every other year and have been going to brix for many years. All I can say is, we stil love the view but the food was less than disireable. They no longer have the duck entre, nor the good pastas of the recent pastnor did they offer any special entre such as their famous swordfish... our waiter told us there was a new chef who was trying new things... Brix, go find your old chef because this one has lost touch.... we know Brix is very touristy but the food and menu needs improvement. We paid $34 for the scallop entre and it had three small scallops and a plate full of almonds... what a waste... I had the lamb at $38 and it was totally flavorless. If you want great food in napa, go to Trancas"
