  • "We had a nice lunch at Brix. Service, atmosphere, and the view outside are great. Unfortunately, the food left something to be desired. The grilled artichokes and Brussel Sprouts were drenched in oil. The steak was chewy. The salmon was good but the green vegetables were chewy. If it weren't for the atmosphere and patio view I probably won't go back."

  • "We came back after eight years away. The food was still awesome. The service was excellent. The gardens were still beautiful. One of the chefs was picking fresh herbs and explained the reason for plants (need for pollination) and their organization within the garden. We will be coming back one day."

  • "Everything was so wonderful. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating...and great sense of humor! The food was some of the best we've ever had. The Caprese salad appetizer and the brussel sprouts especially were the best ever!! The scenery, the location, the ambience, absolutely perfect. Thank you so very much!!! We'll be back next time we're in California."

  • "Celebrating a 60th birthday at Brix, my family was thrilled with the spectacular views, creative dinner menu and delicious food! The service was prompt and responsive, without being overwhelming. Fortunately, the evening weather was just perfect, to make our overall experience a very special one. Would recommend Brix to everyone!"

  • "The restaurant patio view is spectacular however best enjoyed for dinner or a meal other than the weekend brunch. The food is ambitious but not all was well executed. The seafood was the best option along with the omelette station. The bloody mary mix was freshly made and delicious. I wouldn't recommend this again to friends and visitors."

  • "This was our second time to Brix. We were a bit put off at the start as the hostess was unable to seat us even though there were empty tables and I had reserved a table outside. Our waiter seems distracted and our salad was late. All the food was delicious. Our waiter apologized for the delay and did not charge us corkage. We appreciate his admission. We will go back there again."

  • "View is to die for...bucolic, lush, varied, one of best parts of this restaurant (we were on the patio) Food was delicious, excellent summer squash salad, multi colored, fresh tastes brussel sprouts, perfectly done, Pizza delicious, scallops w/almonds, only 3 for $33. but taste was great. One person had steak but I did not taste it, she said it was good however. Her french fries were to die for. Service a tad sketchy at times, we felt forgotten toward the end, but I would still definitely go to this restaurant again."

  • "Delicious food!! Hostesses very welcoming! We were a bit disappointed in our waiter because he wasn't hospitable or engaging in any way...he didn't want to describe food, ingredients or how it was prepared. He just wanted our order. The setting is lovely. Tip: After you get your drinks and are waiting for your food, enjoy strolling through the gardens and the beautiful views."

  • "Took my husband there for brunch on Fathers Day. So many food choices. My husband loves raw oysters; he got his fill. Next time we will request a seat outside. Beautiful garden areal Loved everything about our experience!"

  • "We enjoyed another outstanding brunch on Sunday as this is our regular brunch spot when we visit Napa. After a great wine dinner on Saturday night, we went to Brix to relax and enjoy some outstanding food from the brunch buffet menu they offer on Sundays. All the items were fresh and the omlet station is superb. Thank you for another outstanding experience."

  • "I love this place. Been coming for 20+ years. Nice decor but the gem is the outdoor dining area and the next-to-the vineyards lounge chairs and tables for an after dinner cognac or coffee. Big issue was the noise, not from the patrons but from the music. I asked the manger to turn it down so that the four in my party could talk (and spend more money). He didn't but the nice waiter did. Other patrons nearby thanked me. Folks, speak up! Don't let the restaurants (not just this place) play loud music. It should be low ambiance not noisy!"

  • "We have dined at Brix several times in the past, and it never fails to impress. Much of their produce comes from their own raised gardens which can be viewed from the dining area. Our entire meal was excellent, with friendly and helpful servers. I especially enjoyed the grilled artichoke with aioli. I can't wait to go again, it was worth the entire trip!"

  • "We live in Napa, and we hopped online to review the menus of many of the new restaurants that have opened up over the past several months. Several restaurants had very impressive menus that catered to a specific-style of cuisine, but none looked as appealing as Brix. We ordered SEVERAL items off the menu (and one of the daily specials), and shared our plates. We sat outside on the patio where we enjoyed the setting sun, ambiance of the garden, and views of the vineyards and western hillsides. Our service was good and the food quality was great. Pricing for our meal was reasonable, especially compared to several of the other popular restaurants in the Napa Valley. We have been here before, and look forward to returning again soon."

  • "Brix has a beautiful garden setting and very wide variety of foods for brunch from made-to-order omelets, to seafood, to breads, to desserts. We understand they also have a wonderful wine cellar and fine dining for lunch and dinner, but we didn't sample that. The service was attentive, but not hovering. Our problem was having to make choices in our attempt not to over eat."

  • "Very, very disappointed. We travel to napa every other year and have been going to brix for many years. All I can say is, we stil love the view but the food was less than disireable. They no longer have the duck entre, nor the good pastas of the recent pastnor did they offer any special entre such as their famous swordfish... our waiter told us there was a new chef who was trying new things... Brix, go find your old chef because this one has lost touch.... we know Brix is very touristy but the food and menu needs improvement. We paid $34 for the scallop entre and it had three small scallops and a plate full of almonds... what a waste... I had the lamb at $38 and it was totally flavorless. If you want great food in napa, go to Trancas"

  • "After an amazing experience for Father's Day 2012, my dad asked if we could return to Brix for a Father's Day brunch in 2014. And once more, Brix delivered delicious food, excellent service and a very lovely surroundings. The food is amazing, with a lot of twists on traditional offerings, as well as a lot of unusual dishes. Everyone had multiple servings and regretted that there is only so much one can eat at a time. Favorites included the cheeses, the fresh made omelettes, the variety of cold salads and the pizza. There was definitely more than a person could try in one sitting. I passed by a few items that I wished I had room for, including most of the desserts. The service was also top notch, as our waitress was on our every need."

  • "PERFECTION! The atmosphere, the wine, the service, and the food were out of this world! We dined here on our honeymoon 17 years ago-loved it then and still consider it one if the best restaurants ever. When booking I mentioned it was my husband's birthday..Brix gave him a birthday card! We are from the east coast and only wish we had a restaurant of this caliber near us."

  • "we had a lovely lunch, on a monday, outside facing the beautiful gardens. absolutely deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! three of us had three different meals and everyone was thrilled. we would definitely return for another wonderful meal. this is a great place to take friends visiting for the first time to the wine country. the wine train ambles by, you see a chef walk out to the garden and pick fresh herbs for whatever may be created right then. we saw the ingredients for a flavored oil and he showed it to the table."

  • "The food was OK, not worth the $42.50 buffet price I think. Cheese boards had flies swarming even though there was a fan pointed at the food."

  • "we had an enjoyable dinner at Brix for Father's Day. I ordered the scallops which were delicious they were carmalized and gar;nished with toasted almonds and snap peas. It was very filling and lite. We also ordered the skirt steak med-rare, which was amazing. the steak was cooked perfectly garnised with a red pepper puree and french fries. I would highly recommend it."

  • "As a long time visitor to Napa Valley I would drive past Brix and think of the mediocre reputation that it had for much of the time I had known of its existence. Last summer friends told me of a transformation that had begun with the move by the former head chef of Ad Hoc, David Cruz, to Brix as a consultant. Having always liked Ad Hoc and having enjoyed Cruz's cooking we made a note to stop in and did so this past weekend. Wow. All I can say is the place is transformed and the new, new chef (a replacement for the recently moved on Cruz) has done an excellent job taking up the reigns. I had the scallops amandine - a great signature dish worth a try."

  • "My wife and I have passed this place many times so on this trip to Yountville we booked a reservation. We really enjoyed this experience. The setting and service were great. It was fun to stroll around the gardens after our dinner. The inside also has a very nice setting with good ambiance. Our food was well prepared and really great tasting. She ordered the sea bass and I had the scallops. Only complaint here was the amount of almonds on my plate was too much and there were only 3 scallops instead of perhaps 4. Desert was a little to adventurous for us in terms of the ingredient combinations so we passed. I'd happily return and look forward to coming back another time."

  • "Anyone visiting Napa Valley should make a point of having dinner at Brix at least once. Request an outside table on their patio. You get to view the sun setting over the mountain, their gardens, vineyards and the wine train passing in the distance. The menu has options for very taste and the service is quite good. Almost everyone takes their last glass of wine and walks through the gardens (it is the best dessert, really!)"

  • "Brix is a lovely venue. The host and wait staff are wonderful....attentive but discriminate. Food was OK....but not really up to Napa Dinner Cuisine....One is paying for the ambience at these prices which is OK. Wine List is terrific....but overpriced for our budget..............We will go back for the wine in the garden .....but not on a hot day.....and not for dinner"
