Bristol Seafood Grill - LeawoodAbsolutely Terrific (As Usual!)!We had a wonderful dinner for my husband's birthday (this was our second year in a row going for his birthday at The Bristol) and as usual, our experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were warmly greeted and taken to our table right away, which was decorated for the occasion. Our server Scott was fun and warm and genuinely friendly. He helped with questions we had (the new lobster salad) and enabled me to have the Copper River Salmon as my entree even though I had initially made another selection. We also got to talk with Doug, who has taken great care of us on numerous other occasions. What's great about The Bristol is the staff always makes us feel like welcome, valued guests. It was quiet, so we didn't have to "yell" over the others dining or the music/TV. Our meal was perfect, might I suggest the pretzel crusted tilapia!!! Wonderful!!! (Forget BoneFish, the national chain.) There's an excellent selection of fresh seafood. It was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiter was great. He got all the special requests correctly and did so in a courteous manner. We definitely won't wait so long to go back. They really made us feel special with fun table decorations and notes celebrating both occasions. And, we felt really special when they offered us a champagne toast and a free dessert. The food was exceptional and they cooked my tuna exactly as requested. The server was very knowledgeable and offered very prompt service. Wow what an experience we had. The hostess immediately asked how many years, our table was decorated and included a complimentary desert. Chris tool excellent care of u making sure we lacked for nothing, even adding a few personal touches if his own. Our meal was superb, presented very well and you even carry several of our favorite Oregon wines which made it hard to choose. The food was excellent and our server, Greg, was one of the best I have ever had in my life. Our waiter made a strong recommendation of the daily special the swordfish so I went with that. It was very good, grilled to perfection. It came with a flavorful vegetable mix and was light but filling. My daughter had salmon from the kid's menu. It was cooked perfectly very juicy, it came with the creamiest mashed potatoes you could ask for. My wife ordered the halibut from the menu. It was disappointing in that it was overcooked and dry.
This place is my go to for seafood and I've never been disappointed with their fresh daily specials.
