  • "Great seafood and steak. Waitress was very knowledgable, a bit slow, but they were very busy. It was our anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne and wrot us a nice card. I wasnt expecting it, nice gesture."

  • "I took my boyfriend here to celebrate his 21st birthday. On the reservations, I told them that we were celebrating 21st birthday. They were very accommodating, had confetti on the table and gave a free dessert with a candle on it. It was so sweet!!! We both had best seafood mixed grill, it was delicious and everything was cooked to perfection. The jumbo crab one was my favorite. Most places usually over cook the scallops but here they were perfect. Our server Tyler was super attentive. He checked on us and was amazing. . used a promo code to get free calamari. Spent about $150 total for small mussel appetizer, two seafood mixed grills and 3 mixed alcoholic beverages plus tip"

  • "Do yourself a favour and plan on spending your next special occasion dining at Bristol Seafood Grill. I can't find fault with anything about the experience. Every course was delicious, ample and served right on time. Wait staff was engaging, but not overbearing, and saw to the right things at the appropriate time."

  • "Consistently good seafood which is a treat in the middle of the country!"

  • "Our meal was amazing, they had Skate Wing on special, a delicate fish that was so wonderful, I would have had seconds! Our server Nathanal was top notch, explaining the fish to a tee. Hands down, our favorite places to eat in Power and Light!"

  • "The Bristol is always an outstanding experience. Always have a wonderful meal, wonderful service, and the bar is fantastic."

  • "Arrived at noon and the food became sparse around 1:30. Omelet station was inefficient and slow. Wait staff did a good job but was obviously slammed. Asked for Bristol biscuits for over an hour and they came AFTER we had our check. :( $25 per person."

  • "Our food was delicious and our service was excellent. We would recommend that Bristol add "small plates" as an option on the menu. Our trout portion was easily large enough for two meals and we wish we had ordered just one to share. The dessert portions were also very large. Help us attack the obesity in America!"

  • "Wonderful wine. Helpful server. Delicious food - try something new. Live music in the bar area. A little pricey, but worth it!"

  • "This was our second time at Bristol Seafood Grill. We loved it just as much as the first time around. Superb service, inventive food (though the portions were too big), and just an overall lovely experience."

  • "We ate here on a Sat nite. I had the halibut from the fresh fish list and my companion had bay scallops from the same list. We started with crab cake apps. Everything was so well-prepared and flavorful. They have a wide selection of wines, even by the glass. You can pick from 3 sizes of pours. Lots of options. Save room for dessert. They have a good selection. I had the pecan waffle with bananas foster sauce. Yum. The restaurant is beautiful and the dining room feels very intimate. Valet parking out front makes it easy. Our server was flawless. Friendly and personable but not intrusive, so professional."

  • "My friend and I went to Bristol for lunch on a Friday, which also happened to be my birthday. It was our first time there, and I picked the restaurant because I heard they had good seafood. I was not disappointed! The lunch menu is wonderful--good food for a good price. They started us off with biscuits and this amazing honey butter. We also got a free calamari for checking in on Four Square. For the entrees, I had the grilled arctic char with grilled asparagus and lobster mac n cheese, and my friend had the seared trout with whipped potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. The food was great, and so was the service. I would definitely come here again."

  • "Reservation request and seating...perfect! Drink orders took too long to receive...and the bar was not busy! Our server was spot on at the beginning then as the evening progressed she became less and less efficient...forgetting drinks ordered when entrees were served... Food was very good...always excellent seafood...calamari, ahi tuna and scallops! Salads were cold and crisp and that parmesan crisp was fabulous!...Seafood Bisque was outstanding!...we would have ordered dessert, coffee and after dinner cocktails...but our server just set the ticket down and disappeared...oh well! I think we will pass on Bristol next time...too many restaurants in the Kansas City area to try!"

  • "We sat in the bar area and enjoy the Happy Hour offerings. The mussel appetizer was good but not as good as before. The mussels were small and less flavorful. Not bad but just no as good as before."

  • "I took my husband to the Bristol for his birthday dinner. Both the food and service was excellent."

  • "I am in Kansas City for business quite a bit, and ALWAYS welome an opportunity to take my clients to the Bristol. Service is EXCELENT, the bar very comfortable and the food outstanding. The menu of fresh seafood and steaks makes it easy for anyone to find thier own special item. I recommend the Bristol to associates and clients and friends traveling to KC - and the location in P&L makes getting there easy."

  • "I've been to Bristol so many times that I debated not writing a review, but our server (whose name I have forgotten) was so wonderful - friendly, well-informed, but not invasive - I thought it was worth mentioning. You can always count on a good meal at Bristol. Had the halibut, which had big tender flakes. The only slight disappointment was the mashed potatoes because I prefer them a bit thicker consistency. But, the green beans, which are crunchy and perfectly cooked made up for the potatoes (which were still good, but not excellent). Also, try one of the ice creams for dessert."

  • "As always everything I had was as if made to order just for me. It was crowded but the lines moved quickly and efficiently with 2 people at the omelet/meat station. Our server was wonderful and friendly. We enjoyed 1/2 off our bottle of champagne we had for our mimosas."

  • "Entertained a group of 15 and they loved the oyster platters. Cold, fresh, briny and so tasty - was a great experience in the middle of the country. All the fresh fish entrees were served as described on the menu and by the waiter. Had a great time and enjoyed the food, drink, Eric and staff!"

  • "The food was fantastic. The waitress explained all specials on the menu even gave quality recommendations. Price was a little high but the food looked as good as it tasted. Don't expect to get out of there for under $100 for two. Would go back for special occasions"

  • "We ate here between sessions of the Big 12 Tournament. The place was notably crowded with fans and tourists, but they honored our reservations and we were sat at a nice table despite the long line. The food was up to the usual standards I would expect from Bristol, but they mixed up my boyfriend's order. Things were quickly corrected, and I suspect the reason for the error was the large influx of patrons. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal and plan to re-visit during our next Sprint Center event."

  • "I ate here last year before a concert and came back to enjoy the crab cakes. They were as good as I remembered. Half Price wine up to 90.00 was a surprising opportunity to try a good Kim Crawford. Our server was not only professional and attentive but pleasant and friendly as she found time to tell us a little about Kansas City."

  • "We frequently attend theatre at the REP, and every time it is at the H&R Block stage, we eat at Bristol. Absolutely LOVE their happy hour specials at $7. We get to try many different appetizers of varying flavors and types and enjoy wonderful cocktails. If only the weather was better, we would've loved to have sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the views of P&L district. Must haves are the calamrai, flatbread (either one), chipotle shrimp, and the bruschetta. Their take on sushi is good, but if you're wanting just sushi, go to Nara or Drunken Fish. Cocktails - Caribbean lemonade is the way to go - absolutely delicious. The full menu is also wonderful, but we're always too stuffed to order from it. Can't wait to return!"

  • "The salmon entree was grilled nicely. However the Lobster Cobb salad lacked a lot of flavor."

  • "Our service was poor at the beginning - very slow and inattentive. However, once we made a complaint, the server was right on top of it and the manager was involved. They made a nice recovery. And the food was very good, great crowd and atmosphere."

  • "great service and drinks ... but my wife may get steak next time since she later admitted she did not know bass has bones in it and her side of brussel sprouts was dry ... not your fault, but the valet parking out your front door, while courteous, is less than convenient ... maybe it was just a bad night for us"

  • "The open table reservation didn't qualify for points and when I got their they told us that they didn't have our reservation and we waited for our table."

  • "We had 6:00 reservations and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly but could have been a little more attentive to our needs. My husband ordered the filet since he's not a huge seafood person and the portion sizes on his plate looked very small next to the size of the plate, it wasn't enough food for him especially for the price, and he chose not to pay extra for a salad or an appetizer. I had the pretzel crusted fish and it was delicious! All of the food was very good!"

  • "My husband and I went to a concert at the Sprint Center on Feb 28, 2014. Thought we'd try the Bristol for dinner beforehand. I had the mixed grill plate and hubby had the filet and shrimp. He is a steak and potatoes kind of guy and wasn't expecting much from a seafood restaurant. It was one of the best steaks he's ever had. He was very impressed. The seafood was all excellent. Its worth the extra $ to get the lobster mac and cheese as one of your sides. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waiter was very good. Food was out in a timely manner. We will be going back again. Hopefully sooner than later!"

  • "I booked a table for 10 for a birthday celebration. We were seated in a nice room off of the dining area, still close to dining scene and buffet lines, but with a little extra space and privacy. Our waiter was great! Attentive and fun. The brunch buffet is extensive, and in my opinion, very reasonably priced for the fare. We enjoyed prime rib, seafood, all of the standard breakfast foods, and dessert for only $25/person. They offered an eclectic selection which would suit a variety of tastes. The atmosphere was upbeat with a modern design. I will definitely return! I would say this is a "must try" location in the Power and Light District."

  • "The crab legs were excellent. The steak was not. My dining companion got a filet and the first time it came out charred (it was ordered medium rare), we sent it back and the second was just as bad. The waitress never came back to as if it was ok, so he just cut off the burnt part and ate it. I ordered a ribeye medium rare. It was cooked fine but very under seasoned. Our total bill was over $150 and we left feeling very disappointed. They were busy but I expected way more for the money we shelled out for the meal. We came from out of town and our next visit, we will most likely not return."
