Boston elegance and wonderful food!Enjoyable lunch with an old friend to celebrate her marriage. I requested a table by the window which was honored, and our waiter was extremely patient in allowing us time to talk and reminisce over a glass of wine before we finally ordered. The lobster salad was exceptional, as was the lemon dessert. We were not rushed, and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious DessertsI had saw on one of those travel shows about the best places for desserts. On Saturdays from 9pm-12am, Bristol's Lounge does Sundaes on Saturday. It is a dessert buffet of wonderful treats. They have a nitro ice cream sundae station with gourmet toppings that were delicious. My favorite were their cake pops. It was the best cake/cake pop that I have had. Super moist and rich that I thought I was eating heaven. All the desserts were bite size, so you could sample a little bit of everything, Overall, absolutely worth it.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGourmet on a couch?!It's really, really fun to recline on the plush cushions and eat great food. It's a great late-night option--we made a reservation for 11pm and the kitchen was still in full swing. Try the cocktails.
Also, great service. The party next to ours got a little rowdy, and they comped our drinks. Very generous of them, and quite unnecessary. We'll be back again.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect spotThe Bristol Lounge is one of our favorite spots in Boston. Dignified, relaxing, upbeat and always professional and friendly staff. The refined vibe with the perfect touch of casual/relaxed feel makes The Bristol, The Bristol.......The menu is creative without being over the top. It makes fine dining easy.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat birthday dinner!I love coming to the Bristol Lounge! They always treat you like it's your birthday, and the last time I visited, it was my birthday. We enjoyed delicious appetizers -- my shrimp were huge and tender, and fantastic entrees. I had the steak which was excellent, but a little fattier that I would expect for the price. Our waiter was just delightful. You cannot go wrong at the Bristol Lounge.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMToo fancyOverall a good experience but grossly over priced. Other than the hamburger, everything else on the menu is too complicated and overly pretentious. Sometimes a chicken should just be a chicken! But for the American Express credit, I would not eat there. I'm staying in a hotel and, truthfully, a little comfort food would be nice.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLunch at the Bristol LoungeThis is our favorite place to dine in Boston. We always are seated promptly, have an excellent dining experience, and the service is outstanding by the wait staff. A must try dining experience for visitors and MA residents.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat to take someone specialGreat to take someone special out on their birthday - very glamourus and yet totally friendly and charming5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMoasis o gentile drinking and diningThe Bristol lounge is the place to come to after a busy day when you want to feel out on the town but pampered at the same time. Definitely the best burger in town and the same can be said for the fries.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfully varied brunchWonderfully varied brunch selections in all catogories!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI hosted a hen party for aI hosted a hen party for a small group of "mature" hens over lunch and we could not have been happier. Our server was perfect; she kept a watchful eye but never interrupted us and let us linger and party-on as long as we liked. The cocktails were great - mint juleps in honor of Kentucky Derby day, and the food was outstanding.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Bristol Lounge is my favoriteThe Bristol Lounge is my favorite restaurant for Pre-theatre light dinners AND for tea. However this visit did not live up to its normal standards. This visit we were sat next to an unusually rowdy group of 5-6 men who we acting as they would in a neighborhood pub. We moved, but still were relieved when they left as they were more than "energetic".
I ordered the Kale salad at $18. The serving was SO small...all that was on the plate as a small handful of raw chopped kale, a few crumbles of cheese and a single strange looking thing that was advertised as a crouton. The waiter took it back and had more Kale added to the plate...Even though all the price points on the menu are high, this normally does not happen.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA Boston Classic. The bartendersA Boston Classic. The bartenders are always wonderful and you always feel welcome there. My personal favorite is the Bristol Burger - one of the best in Boston.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Bristol Lounge continuesThe Bristol Lounge continues to be a reliably excellent choice for lunch. Great food and drink and exceptional service can be counted upon. And a table by the window affords a great view of The Garden.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Sunday BrunchThis is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway. My wife went for brunch the weekend of the Boston Marathon.
We could not have had a better experience.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe just love Bristol lounge. We just love Bristol lounge. It has become one of our regular evening dinner spots. Every dish is perfect. And oh, the Saturday dessert buffet and the Sunday brunch are divine. We can take our son with us and are greeted warmly. Be sure to check out the French toast for brunch! It is exquisite--the best I have ever had.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSuper first experience! FoodSuper first experience! Highly recommend!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe felt like a more traditionalWe felt like a more traditional meal, but not over the top. The Bristol Lounge fits that bill. The food is well prepared and good, nothing adventurous. Great service and ambiance.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMy window table was as requestedMy window table was as requested - the service was excellent - and the food delicious. Nice to have a quiet dining place where one can carry on a conversation.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMService is much-improved.Service is much-improved. It is a special place with a view of the Public Gardens, delicious food, and exceptional service! We had a lovely time! We also appreciated the free birthday dessert! We picked the creme brûlée and were not disappointed! We also enjoyed not one but two celebrity citings!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of the Best!Top notch brunch, absolutely incredible food and service, the Four Seasons does not disappoint...the croissant french toast is absolutely amazing as well as the lemon ricotta pancakes...if you want to splurge, the $50/person sunday brunch buffet is amazing...prime rib carving station, smoked salmon, you name it, they have it...and a deliciously perfect bloody mary as well...a real treat! Easily one of the best brunches i've had in years!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful in every way!I would reccomend this place to anyone who wants an above average dinning experience. Food and service are exceptional.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent in every detail,Excellent in every detail, We had a wonderful time.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Service, Delicious FoodThe service was outstanding - exactly what you'd expect from the Four Seasons. So enjoyable. While my husband and I try to mostly eat Vegan, their menu isn't really made for that. However, the assistant food & beverage manager gave me her card and said they would make a special vegan meal for us the next time we came back if we just call them in advance so we plan to do that and see how it goes. They did offer a DELICIOUS vegan pumpkin soup with a coconut milk base that my husband is still mooning over days later. Our server was also extremely helpful with the wine selection. Very knowledgeable. Wonderful experience.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a strong choice, theAlways a strong choice, the menu is varied and creative. The burger is outstanding, the fish dishes always fresh and artfully prepared. We also enjoy breakfast menu.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for a special dinnerVery elegant and good food too. All staff courteous and smiling. That is a big plus. We were not rushed as they allowed plenty of time between courses. It makes you realize how quickly some restaurants serve food to get their tables to turn over. Soups were excellent as were the entrees. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it to dessert. Extensive wine list. Prices consistent with a high end restaurant. Not a place to go to everyday but a frequent visit wouldn't be a bad thing.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways fabulous! We love brunch at the Bristol Cafe because of the wonderful service, relaxed atmosphere and good food. We had brunch at the Bristol for our daughter's 16th birthday and were once again very happy with our experience. Although the brunch is a buffet (a la carte is available too), the food is quite good. The desserts are fabulous and the salads, cheeses, lox, meats, etc are really wonderful. Standard brunch buffet fare (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc) are better than any other brunch buffet we know but not of gourmet quality. The carving station (prime rib, pork, etc) was fabulous! We have been many times and are never disappointed; a sophisticated family atmosphere fit for city dwellers, grandparents or young couples. Enjoy!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a blast...the foodWe had a blast...the food and service was amazing! I loved the homemade hot sauce...they packaged it up and sent me home with some.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly Recommended - Bristol LoungeOur waiter was very attentive and the food -- filet mignon and venison steak -- was excellent. The only downside was a large party nearby with several noisy children, but it seemed like that was a less common occurrence. Generally, I think it is a quiet venue for special occasions.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for a quiet talk!Went with friends, the ideal place for quiet conversation. Service attentive without interrupting . Friendly yet upscale, very nice decor. Food does not disappoint but you're there for the experience.12/31/2012 12:00:00 AM
