We had a sunday brunch for three very special friends - great ambience while looking out at the Boston Public Garden; outstanding service - friendly and responsive; great omelets, fruits, salads, waffles. We live 1/2 hour from Boston - we MUST do this more often!! A nice romantic breakfast for two; festive outing for a well behaved family; and special place to celebrate a special occasion! A relaxed, yet elegant atmosphere - just loved it as I do every time I go there!!

Fantastic experience. I brought my 7-year-old daughter for lunch to celebrate her birthday. They could not have been nicer. They gave us a beautiful window table and the chef prepared a lovely slice of cake with Happy Birthday written on the plate. Because of the note I wrote on Open Table, everyone already knew about her birthday and several of the staff wished her Happy Birthday and generally fussed over her. The food was delicious and they brought her a pink lemonade in a fancy glass. It was great.

  • The Sunday Brunch at the Bristol
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 4/18/2010
The Sunday Brunch at the Bristol Lounge is one of the best in Boston. Despite the fact that it is inside the Four Seasons, the room has a welcoming, relaxed feel. There are all the delicious brunch dishes you would expect at a great Sunday brunch. The only criticism I have is, there is very little in terms of dessert offerings.

    Dined on 4/17/2010
Our dining expereince was superb! We had a reservations for a party of five for my wife's birthday dinner with my mom, my wife and her parents. We had an incredibly friendly and professional waiter (I am so sorry I do not have his name for this review); he was energetic, pleasant, helpful and possessed all other qualities of a fine waiter (and a good person). We were fortunate enough to not only be able to celebrate my wife's birthday at the Bristol Lounge but also announce to our closest family that we are expecting our first child. This was a huge night and it turned out as special as one could ever ask thanks to the location, atmosphere and of course the wonderful staff. This was a memorable occasion and we will return! Thanks again!

This time I was disappointed in the service - eg., there were crumbs on the table after the main course was cleared I had to ask for them to be wiped off. Waiter was not overly attentive. The table setting at dinner was not worthy of the Four Seasons.

This was the perfect spot for my reunion with an old college friend. We sat for 3 hours; the waitstaff never interrupted our conversation, allowing us our privacy. Great food, warm and inviting atmosphere, and the best service people on the planet. I've eaten dinner at The Bristol Lounge many times, but now having been for lunch has sealed the deal -- the perfect restaurant. It's akin to eating at a lovely country inn, only with better food and in a contemporary setting. Upscale without pretension.

Service was fair at best. The server tended to ignore us and when she finally decided to take our order, we had the distinct impression that we were not worthy. The food was good but not great and the value was less than expected. This was a special occasion that turned out to be rather disappointing.

We had a round table for the five of us which made talking to everyone perfect. Our guest from London loved the restaurant. The ambiance was perfect with soft music playing.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my mother's retirement with a family group. We arrived and sat for drinks in the comfortable lounge area full of low couches and chairs. We had a round of drinks while waiting for our table to be ready. We sat at a lovely table near the fireplace where all of our needs were expertly attended to. Each waitperson was impeccably trained as to when and how to approach the table. The service was truly extraordinary! Each course of food we ordered was expertly prepared and a treat to eat. My steak was melting in my mouth! I wish we would have stayed for the beautiful dessert service that was set up in the dining room. Had I known earlier, I would have included it in our plans. Dining at its best!

We went for the Burgers and Burgundy event on Wednesday night. The burgers are so gourmet and delicious. Mine came with foie gras, sauteed mushrooms and onions. My boyfriend got one with goat cheese and oven dried tomatoes. Both were amazing. The fries and wine pairings were also great. Our waiter was very friendly and let us enjoy a romantic date night. We got a sofa table by the fire, which was very intimate and special.

Great experience. A bit too expensive, but when you go to dinner at "the Four Seasons," that's part of the "charm." Tables are placed far enough away from each other that you can actually hear the people in your group and feel you have some privacy. Service was top-notch...attentive, but not hovering. Each of the four people in our party had something different for dinner and each of us was pleased with our duck, salmon, pasta and tuna entrees. Would recommend highly for an after-theatre dinner or other special occasion.
