The food was acceptable at best. There were several hairs in the food I got and compared to other similar restaurants, it was sub-par.

We took our birthday girl there as she loves to "spin the wheel". They even provided a small cake for her, we had great food, lots of fun and really looked after

We enjoyed the king size Montreal smoked meat sandwiches and the local beer - hearty food in a neighborhood pub atmosphere. The waiter tried to be funny, but didn't strike the right chord with us.

The pig's knuckles and brisket were outstanding. They went well with the specialty "B" beer. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended for casual dining. A real find!

  • The Menu

The menus are only in French. When asking for English menu was told Montreal is a French City. Was given an old menu in English with old prices. I ordered a smoked meat with cols slaw. I told the waitress no mustard. When the food came there was mustard was on the sandwich had mustard on the sandwich. I sent it back there was mustard on the table. So if people wants mustard they can put there own mustard themselves. I will return with my wife and coworkers as well as alone too.

I went to this restaurant many times. Each times, I hate the Brisket Poutine. I have never been let down. Service is resonnably fast, even if you go with a group. The service was good but fairly spaced out which can be good or bad. The ambiance is really social. It's a great place to lunch with some friends where you can talk and laugh without fear of unerving other clients. Anyhow, great place!

  • We choose this restaurant

We choose this restaurant because it was billed as "Canadian" comfort food, which we learned to be a very strong emphasis on meat and cured meat. Neither my son nor I are big meat eaters, hence my ratings. I think for the right diner it might be a great find, and would probably result in much higher ratings than mine. Its rustic, unpretentious, and clean. We had a late lunch on a day between Christmas and New Years, so the restaurant was very quiet. The few other diners, who seemed to be locals, were tying into what seemed to be giant sandwiches and thoroughly enjoying themselves. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. It's across from a metro station, so is very convenient.

Very good deli. Reasonable prices. Good service. Conveniently located. This is a very popular restaurant. If you can, avoid the noon to 1:00pm time slot on weekdays.
