  • "It was quite a warm afternoon and upon arriving at restaurant we asked the waiter if they could turn on the air; the air was turned on for 15 minutes then shut off. The manager was sitting in a table next to us and did not move a finger to accomodate us. Service was super slow and the restaurant was nearly empty (it was the first dinner service - 5pm). The bread came after 20 minutes of being seated. Pasta was OK, nothing to write home about AND much too pricey for what it was. 2 entress & 1 soda $70! "

  • "Coming to NYC on business for many years, this find was a pleasant surprise. The food portions and quality were superb! The place is small and intimate, with tables quite close together, so a romantic get-away is best had somewhere else. But for superb Italian food and a really nice, if shortish, wine list, give Brio a try or two. Well worth it!"

Busy place led to servers being a bit under attentive but still incredibly nice. Food was good over all, my guests enjoyed their dishes but the sauce for my ravioli was a little under seasoned and overly heavy handed with the cream. Would go back for lunch to entertain clients,."

  • "To be fair they were dealing with constrcution which wiped out well over 60% of the space. That said being harassed throughout the day to confirm the reservation was unnecessary as I was still made to wait for 10 minutes upon arrival…Host was not friendly at all. Bartender comped a drink at the bar which saved us from leaving. Once seated our waiter was very nice and helpful. We were craving their pizza though that was also not avail due to construction. Might have been nice to tell us that prior to seating or the many calls for confirmation!Their specials of the day more than made up for that. I am sure these guys will be back in fighting shape after construction."

Service was very friendly but rather frantic and slow to take our orders.; our waiter brought a second bottle quickly but did not open it right away. Except for the table by the window (which we were given) tables are jammed together in a narrow space that does not make life easy for the waiters, who as noted are impeccably good-humored."

  • "Resteraunt partially closed due to construction/remodeling; food was average; my niece and I each ordered ice tea and had a refill. Upon receiving my bill, I was both surprised and dismayed to see that I had been charged for 4 ice teas (the price of an entree!) no mention was made of additional charges. My friend who has lived and dined in New York for 20+ years assured me I was right to assume free ice tea refills. Ice tea is my beverage of choice. Thoughout the U.S., free refills are commonplace. I paid my bill leaving only a 15% tip and a notation on the receipt saying it was "Tacky" that ice tea refills were not free. Also, Brio failed to verify my OT reservation. I pursued it not only for the points but so I could fill out a review"

  • "After making a reservation on open table, upon arrival, we were told there was a wait because the "other room was closed for renovations". While waiting our RED wine was served ice cold!! 10 minutes after we arrived we saw the owner hugging and talking with another couple who loudly announced they didn't have a reservation. We waited for 40 minutes at the bar Despite the fact that the owner was told, in front of us, by the bartender and a server that we were there first and had a reservation, the owner preceded to seat his friends ahead of us!!! Apparently only friends who probably eat for practically free are worth it! The owner let us leave without hesitation without even trying to redeem himself. DO NOT COME HERE!!! NOT WORTH IT!!!!"

  • "We always dine at this Brio location after shopping ('til we drop) at Bloomingdales. Although we made a reservation, we had to wait for well over a half hour due to renovation. What a scene!! Only the back room open, crowded, noisy, only a few tables since there also was a large group of about 20. And there was NO PIZZA ! However, the pastas were very good as usual and we look forward to returning once the 61st side renovation is complete."
