We all loved our choices--lamb hash (shoulder), little neck clams, chowder, steak, a selection of oysters -- every item was perfectly executed and was timely delivered by a charming, knowledgeable young woman. Find a table with a view of the chef opening oysters effortlessly so you can practice at home. We three are Foodies, excellent cooks and superfragilistic hypercritical. Oysters were fresh and handled perfectly. Service was great we had Liz (knowledgable, sweet and genuine) and we had a chance to meet the owner who was so passionate. Dinner lobster and beef (great textures and flavors), ribeye (tender, meaty, large), chocolate (rich, dreamy), beef tartare (best ever). We left making thinking about next time we were returning. We didn't have anything from the raw bar but the salad, small plates, entrees and dessert we had were divine. I had a lobster and beef cheek dish with potatoes and a saffron broth. Good cocktails, list of bottled beers, wines and oysters, which were shucked right in front of us and were very clean and good. We had small plates and the house-made sausage, all very tasty. It's a small space, and tables are very close to the bar, which was very busy. Service was excellent. It's a bit pricey, but the quality was very high. We finished off with desert and coffee - also yummy;
We sat in a window table - a little chilly - they may want to think about some type of heat since the door is literally in the middle of the dinig room and on cold nights - brrrrr.

The wait staff was attentive but not lurking. DInner was perfectly paced - 7:15 reservation and left about 9:45.....never felt rushed at all.
We will certainly go again - and again - and again!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBrine is an excellent localBrine is an excellent local restaurant (more a 4.5 than a 4). Everything we tried was delicious; the monkfish was truly outstanding. Our server, a former chef, was a delight and extraordinarily helpful. And the wine list offers interesting options with plenty of very good choices by the glass. The one downside is that the restaurant is extremely noisy. On a Thursday night, the locals took over the restaurant, with diners talking across tables & moving around the restaurant, to the point that we had trouble hearing each other speak.
