What a gem of a restaurant. Went a
few weeks ago for lunch and had to try the hamburger. Juicy, delicious goodness. Met some friends for an early dinner on Sunday. Scored the 4 top which gave us a bit of privacy. I had to try the Duck Confit Poutine that night. Decadent. Duck confit on top of fries with cheese curds and gravy. An absolute Must!"

This little gem tucked away in the
East Village brought a smile to my face. The burger was the best I've ever had and I'm not a big burger fan. I also had a dish called Shakshuka. Poached eggs in an amazing background of salsa, feta and other bits that was out of this world."

After catching the Brindle Room on
Diners, Drives, & Dives, I couldn't wait to taste what Guy was salavating over! The duck poutine is phenomenal! It is savory and served as an appetizer! It is a hearty serving of crispy fries, duck meat, gravy, & cheese curd. The burger was also delicious! It was properly cooked, which we all know how hard it is to get a perfectly cooked piece of meat! It also had nice crunch, and topped with sauteed onions. Don't freak when you don't see them on the menu. They are the "specials". Go hungry!"

The duck poutine is magnificent,
and huge, easily feeds two as an appetizer, or one as a meal. Burger is also fantastic. Short but nice beer selection. Restaurant is very cosy, and very small, but is well worth the visit. A class act. And it is walkable from McSorley's."

Went with 2 kids to try the highly
touted burger. Found a fantastic menu that convinced the kids to abandon our burger plan for Nutella French toast w/ fresh berries and bananas (my daughter-9) and shrimp scampi over grits with poached egg ( What???) for my usually unadventurous 11 year old son. I had the Burger. We were all very happy, my son devoured his shrimp bowl with a fervor I don't usually see at the lunch table. My daughter had a smiling Nutella lined mouth after putting away most of her lunch ( most because I helped myself to some of hers!) my burger didn't disappoint! Delicious albeit a bit too small. I would have gladly paid a bit more for a 8 oz rather than lament the quick disappearance if my 6 ounces of beefy deliciousness."

Dimly lit, intimate with a chill
vibe. Nice music played and the waiters are friendly. Will come back!"

This place is off the hook. The
food was amazing, super rich, but delish. The service was the most amazing i've had in NYC. One girl took care of the entire place by herself, and the place was slammed. I was very impressed."
Dined on 2/23/2014
Slow service and food was not that
great. I would not go back."

We had read great reviews about
the burger so went to the Brindle room to check it out. The place was small with a cute atmosphere - perfect for dates or a night with friends. We got seated right away and everyone who worked there was friendly. The food was also great. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had and I had Salmon which was equally good. Would definitely recommend!"

Bitterly cold January night, but
had a great, warm time at Brindle! The burger is very good (not Minetta Tavern good, but what is?); the venison is excellent; and the Beer Battered Pork Belly is a terrific. Bit of a tight space, and waiting people made me feel slightly guilty, but had a great night with 5 friends. Recommended!"

The food at this restaurant was
incredible. They have a muscle special for happy hour that you can't beat -- a bowl of muscles and a side of fries that's normally 14 bucks is 5 dollars. Order 4 of them! Possibly the best muscles I've ever had. The apps may have been better than the entrées. I will definitely be back for apps and happy hour cocktails."

Great meat mix out of the ribeye
deckle for the burger. It was definitely something different. The brazed kale was a delicious side alternative."

Very small place, tucked away by
Tompkins Sq. Cozy and cute, with a carefully put together, comforting menu. Definitely get the steakhouse burger. It's not huge, but the well-aged funk alone makes it worth it. Add a good beer and you're good to go. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. The clientele is on the younger side. The space could be bigger, but I'm not complaining."

Cute place, delicious food, a
little too loud but otherwise all around a solid choice for dining out."
Dined on 1/10/2014
Burgers are the star but every
other dish that came out looked great!"
Dined on 12/21/2013
They're famous for their burger,
and for good reason! The Shakshuka is also terrific. Great little East Village neighborhood spot!"
Dined on 12/8/2013
Nice room, perky waitstaff,
excellent service, terrific music, inconsistent food."
Dined on 12/6/2013
We had a great night at the
Brindle Room. The food is very tasty and there are lots of options from sharing plates to individual entrees. Everything we ordered was delicious."

It was our first thanksgiving in
the States and we made a excellent choice reserving our dinner at Brindle."
Dined on 11/28/2013
Portioned food that was okay.
Turkey was one slice of white meat and theigh and another piece of dark meat that was fatty. The Hanukkah theme was a potato pancake with a dreidel on the table. Not really a holiday feast"
Dined on 11/28/2013
Short and sweet menu. Everything
they serve they've tweaked to their own perfection. Love it. Just note that most options are quite savory. Only a few light and healthy options if that's your thing. One of those being the fresh squeezed OJ. SO good."
Dined on 9/29/2013
The Brindle room has one of the
best burgers in the city. It is THE reason to go. The service was a little slow but not too bad. Also, they have a great in house hot sauce if you like hot sauce. Will definitely go there again."

The food is pretty consistently
excellent and excellently priced. My college friend and I shared the shrimp, butter, chilli special and each ordered an entree. She got the seafood pasta, which was perfectly al dente and all of the seafood was clean, fresh and tasty. I ordered the marinated chicken with fries and one of the seasonal special sides, the porcini bread pudding. The fries were ok but the chicken and bread pudding were fantastic. Totally inspired me to come back again and again to try every one of their seasonal specials. However, the last time we went there we tried the cornmeal crusted pork belly, which was uncharacteristically a let down and nearly inedible. Just an FYI, the space is rather cramped and busy."

for a main, i have only had the
burger and i think its very good. i had the chicken wings this past visit and they were different and great--smoked rather than fried. great flavor. cool little spot...."
Dined on 10/22/2013
Medium-rare burger was too cooked
but still moist and tasty."
Dined on 10/12/2013
Had a 12.45 reservation for lunch
but they forgot to put in my order so I only just got my food at 1.42pm. Keep an eye on the staff and make sure they remember you exist. Ordered a medium burger and it was well done. Not happy."
Dined on 9/21/2013
A great, casual neighborhood
restaurant. The burgers and fries were outstanding and our server was friendly and did not hurry us. Very affordable. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there."
Dined on 9/7/2013
Heart of the East Village, so I
think it is appropriate that the waiting staff is young, inexperienced and overwhelmed, especially on Saturday night. Food was just fine, everything from the kale salad, through mussels and fried cauliflower to chilled seafood mix. While I was waiting for table in front and expecting someone to take my drink order (which I was offered) -- it just remained at that. And I really WAS thirsty. Never mind. Mother's Milk was good anyway, just a bit too late. As I said, food is good, would go back for that anytime, but I just couldn't stand the terrible American - New York noise. Everybody in the room had an intense need to scream instead of talking at a human level."
Dined on 9/8/2013
Friendly, attentive staff;
fantastic food (try the burger or spaghetti); reasonable prices; unpretentiously decorated. Make sure and ask for the hot sauce, and then buy a bottle to take home."
Dined on 6/17/2013
Really good burger, reasonable
prices. Good beer options and sangria. Very small, make reservations."
Dined on 8/24/2013
Their burger was delicious, fries
impeccably crispy, and the rest of the menu was very tasty as well. A small surprise worth another visit for sure."
Dined on 8/22/2013
My boyfriend loves the steak at
Brindle Room. Last time I went, I had venison. It was just the right amount--not double the appropriate size like standard American meals. We arrived a little late for our reservation, but the waitress seated us at the bar briefly and then found a table. Very pleasant service. We'll be back."
Dined on 8/14/2013
Went for Sunday Brunch-- the space
is small, but we had no problems getting a reservation! The food prices are VERY reasonable (I would even say cheap for NYC brunch!) but the drink prices are the same price as the dishes, so this place isn't ideal for a boozy brunch. I had the shrimp and grits, and shared a chocolate hazelnut and salted caramel donut with friends. Everything was really great! Be aware though, the donuts (although amazing and fresh out of the fryer) should be called donut holes-- about 1/3 the size of a normal donut. Finally, if you are a hot sauce junkie, you MUST try their homemade sauce out-- super spicy but flavorful and unique enough that I almost had to grab the bottle on the way out! Will definitely be back!"

Went here with a friend and orders
the smoked chicken wings, chilled seafood mix, and burger. All of the food was quite tasty and I can't wait to return."
Dined on 8/4/2013
Brindle room was a great find. I
have been twice. Both times I got the salmon with different sides; I highly recommend the salmon."
Dined on 7/27/2013
I now have mixed feelings about
brindle room...the first time I went it was fantastic. Based on that, I took some out of town friends. Outcome, two dishes sent back and another was not nearly as good as last time. 3 out of 4 dishes were disappointing. Not sure what happened between the first and second visit. Hopefully they were just having a bad day."
Dined on 7/20/2013
Went here for brunch upon a
friend's recommendation for best burger in the city. Took fifteen minutes to order food. Took 40 minutes for food to arrive. Very little acknowledgement from staff when food was delayed. Dishes slammed in dish pit, loud enough for other tables to frown. Food was good, but service can use some work. Fun neighborhood though."
Dined on 7/13/2013
Everyone raves about the
burger....Nothing special.....Just another burger....."
Dined on 7/15/2013
cute spot. went for the burger.
meat tastes like minetta tavern tho on the salty side, tiny. smoked pork hash was subpar. good thing had steak fries from the burger to fill up. donut isn't all that exciting tho the salted caramel isn't too sweet which is nice."
Dined on 7/7/2013
I went to try their highly
recommended burger. I went just before noon and it was empty so it is hard to judge the service completely but they were quick and nice. The burger was really good and the fries were a great compliment. Worth trying. By 12:30, the place was full. Nice neighborhood joint."
