  • "We had the best time! The service was outstanding and the food was delicious"

  • "This was by far the worst meal I had in San Francisco"

  • "Took clients here on a recent trip to San Francisco. Food was outstanding and enjoyed by all. Service was even better (friendly, attentive and personal). The menu was large and everyone had trouble deciding what to order with so many items looking good. I highly recommend this place for a business dinner, as well as a great place to take a date. We will definitely be back."

  • "Having eaten here several times over the years, I had an expectation for what this restaurant is. Unfortunately, this experience will likely be my last. Although the evening started well with the host being very good at his job, the waiter ruined whatever hope there was. He didn't know the menu at all, he didn't offer to find things out, he said he liked things but couldn't tell us why, when asked about ingredients he had no idea, & when asking about drinks he didn't know what they carried nor found out without prodding. Further, he brought dishes out in wrong order (apps after entree, etc.), brought food that was cold by the time it arrived, & the crab risotto was really awful. All of this made for a very disappointing evening. Not again."

  • "I chose this restaurant for a family dinner and was very disappointed. Realized something was wrong when we walked in and there was only one other party in the restaurant. The hostess/waitress was more like a carnival barker. Loud, and accosting people in the alley. The food was also a big disappointment. The lobster bisque was so salty it was almost inedible. The lobster ravioli was $22 as I recall -- $5.50 per ravioli, with about 1 tsp of filling each. There are so many fabulous restaurants in SF, don't bother with this one."

  • "We went to Brindisi on a night that was a little cold for outdoor dining, but that is what it is. There were heaters on that kept us warm, but as can be expected, that provided very uneven heating. Aside from the outdoor eating, it was very nice and the service was very good and professional. The food itself wasn't too spectacular, but it was good and fresh, which was all we were looking for on a weeknight."

  • "San Francisco has had a reluctance about outdoor dining. Belden Place, where Brandisi is located. is like a Paris street, with several restaurants lining the narrow alley. Outdoor tables with awnings (and heaters!!!) make dining fun. Brandisi's food was very good. They favor seafood, and do it well. Our server was efficient and attentive. One of our party cannot tolerate garlic (SO SAD), and the kitchen was most cooperative."

  • "We totally enjoyed our first experience at this restaurant. Loved sitting outdoors watching the people go by down the delightful alleyway. The food was very good. Warm service."

  • "We got there and immediately told the person that came to give us bread that we wanted to order a cocktail. It took us 3 times to repeat the same request and finally someone came and took our cocktail order. The food was good, except for that it started to rain and we were sitting outside. The awning was extended, so it was ok. The one thing I disliked and it was a first for me is that we ordered regular, american coffee and when we ordered a refill, we were charge for it. I've never seen that before. We ended up paying $8 for coffee, which is ridiculous."

  • "The service was great and the food was as well. It was chilly so we opted to sit inside even though there were heaters on the outdoor patio but it looked like it would be very nice on slightly warmer evenings."

  • "Has the look and feel of a European sidewalk café -so charming! Our group of three shared a number of soups, salads, appetizers, and mains. Our charming server guided us through the mail... one course at a time. It was so relaxed and unhurried. A delightful evening!"

  • "Had a great time at Brindisi. Would like to thank them for allowing a reservation for a party of eight on Open Table. The sea bass, risotto and home made spaghetti were big hits. The best part was the flourless chocolate cake. Delicious!"

  • "The food here was all right. My wife and I decided to come her for valentines and it was packed. We made reservations and still had to wait 10 mins out side to be seated. We decided to eat in side and were seated At a table next to the bar. I was bumped into 3 times by the waiting staff picking up drinks. It took 30 mins to get our Appetizer, 30 more mins for our food, and 20 mins for out dessert. Between those times the waitress only checked on us Twice. I kept looking for her to refill my drink. The food was ok, but I personally will not be going back. I recommend this place if You have a lot of time to kill. We were there for one hour forty five mins."

  • "The restaurant if very welcoming. My food was good but two people in my party were disappointed with some of their dishes (cold soup, salad not presented well and returned). The staff were very accommodating and brought a new salad to my colleague. The desserts were wonderful."

  • "From the hostess to the waitress to the chef, we received five star service as well as excellent food. Our 9 year old was able to order off menu without an issue and the waitress aside from being one of the friendliest young women we have met, was super attentive to our dining experience. The salmon was perfect, the smoked trout raviolis were amazing and the homemade spaghetti was notable. This is a must try!"

  • "Overall, good food and good service. Had the dine-about-town menu for lunch, specifically the mussells as appetizers and bake trout with risotto for main entree, and they were delicious! The portions were just right as well. Will definitely go back!"

  • "One of the best lunch I ever had in San Francisco . Keep up with the outstanding food. I when back the next week already.."

  • "As the title states, the service here was terrific. They were extremely accommodating to our table requests (outside, directly under a heater), and our food requests. Our group of 4 had two vegetarians, one pescatarian, and one gluten and lactose intolerant eater. All of us left happy and full. The food was good, and they had a good wine menu. I would definitely recommend this place!"

  • "Had Grilled calamari for an appetizer, nice change from the fried version :-) It is served on a bed of white beans, very good. The dover sole is amazing! The Cioppino is also very good. We are adding Brindisi to places to eat in the city."

  • "I've been here twice now and it was just as good this time as last. We ate outside this time and it is a really nice experience; it is like eating at a European restaurant. The only reason the food was very good and not outstanding is that there was one thing on the menu they were out of that we had wanted. But not a big enough deal not to go back. Plenty of other good things. Definitely ad to your list."

  • "Brindisi is at one end of Belden Place. I like the atmosphere and the food was good, not great. The service leaves something to be desired, as the waiter had to be reminded to bring water a couple of times, bread a couple of times. The busboy was way too efficient in clearing the table, as if there was a crowd waiting for a table (there were empty tables)."

  • "Came here for lunch. Decent restaurant in an alley with a whole bunch of other restaurants. Food was pretty good. You have the option to share or have a whole dish. Most people share though from what I saw. Sat outside, quaint and cozy, but the table that I sat at was lopsided. Couldn't tell if it was the table or the ground. Waitress didn't bother to help and it was kind of hard to flag down the service workers. Other than that, the food and the experience were good."
