Third time dining here since they opened- food is exceptional as are the drinks. Love that they rotate through different dishes and drinks and aren't afraid to try new things. Place is really catching on and they will be a hard reservation. With the amazing food and drink, I guarantee they will make the best new places in LA next time around once LA Mag comes out with its annual food edition. Get in now before it becomes like Tar and Roses, Rustic Canyon, etc. and becomes hard to get it. Hopefully, they will wind up moving to a larger space at some point. Already have my next 2 reservations in even as I love eating at different spots. Much appreciated for another great meal!

Courtyard neighborhood spot with unique cocktails, although a bit pricey. Peruvian-inspired tapas style dishes are tasty.

Brillantshine has taken over the courtyard spot that used to be Renee's (a local favorite) with a great new decor (no more creepy dolls); the cocktails were great and so the shortrib sandwich was delicious! I was especially excited to try the goat cheese tators but was disappointed to find only three tiny little bites, albeit delicious bites, I would have expected at least two or three times as many pieces especially for the price. Same with the short rib sandwich, we expected a full sandwich or maybe revise the menu to list these items as "Small Bites". Will go again if in the mood for just cocktails and snacks.

Second visit since they opened and tried some more dishes on the menu- nice that they rotate some in and out as well. EVERYTHING was incredibly delicious- agnolotti are a favorite and this time I brought 3 other friends (all of us locals) who also devoured every dish and every last drip of the incredible sauces. The mussels and chorizo and frites were a hit as was the lamb burger. The chef is incredibly talented and the bar very cool with incredible drinks- the zombie is so good they do limit you to 2 given its potency. They are going to need a bigger place- it's that good especially the food and drinks and a cool space. Servers are all nice. As with any new place, still working a few service kinks out but nothing tragic.

  • FOOD IS AMAZING - Secret is out!

The Peruvian inspired food is so good that even less than 2 weeks after opening, I told their incredibly talented chef, Richie Lopez, they are going to have to move to a larger space. Once the secret gets out, like Tar and Roses, it will be incredibly hard to get a table here. So much so that even before my girlfriend and I finished our meal, I made 3 other forward bookings for the month ahead to be sure we can introduce other friends to it before it really pops. It's that good! We had the salmon starter which was brilliant, the kabocha squash agnolotti (not to be missed), the braised short rib "sandwich", the duck leg and the bok choy, all incredible. The pasta was as delicate as those I have eaten at Giorgio Baldi or Melisse.
