Diner Reviews
  • "We were at the Bridgewater Grill for an early dinner. The menu was not large, had lots of sandwiches and specialty burgers, but the entrees that we selected were very good-and the wine for Happy Hour was excellent."

  • "We sad in a lovely both over looking the creek and the park, in the summer it must be really beautiful, a little drab in the winter. Then, outdoor dining would be great too. I enjoyed the Vegie Eggs Benidict, which was surperb and my other guest had the homemade hash and egss, remember not to salt this one, for the corn beef was salty enough. I would definately go back again, for Golden is a lovely town."

  • "We enjoyed a lovely meal here and they made it extra special by helping us celebrate a birthday with the best cherry cobbler ever!"

  • "Group of 8 during Denver Restarurant Week - Food and service was fantastic. The most pleasant thing about Bridgewater Grill for the group was the noise level was non-existent and made conversation in a group VERY pleasant. Would recommend highly. There was also live music in the bar although we didn't go in that evening.l"

  • "Our first time here! We made a reservation here during Denver Restaurant Week. The food and the value were great. The staff was very attentive to our dining experience. This was much quieter than we anticipated. The atmosphere wasn't very lively. Overall, a good experience. We would come back from a drink when the patio was open and the floors were in bloom."

  • "We've been to the Bridgewater Grill several times now and it has always provided great food and great service at a fair price. It is our favorite Golden destination for a good meal. We recently took friends that were in town from Austin and they also loved it. The steak on the Denver Restaurant Week menu is superb; cooked perfectly. Also try the corn chowder. When the weather is nice, the patio has great views of clear creek and a great atmosphere."

  • "I went to the Bridgewater Grill for 5280 Restaurant Week. I thought the restaurant was superb. The steak was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Everything that I had was very well prepared and tasty, especially the brownie al a mode for dessert, oh my goodness! The restaurant is located in downtown Golden along the Clear Creek bike/walking trail, and I bet it is a great place to eat lunch during the summer while you watch people enjoy the city of Golden. Our service was very good as well."

  • "Great soup, great drinks. Fish and steak were decent. A little pricey, but expected for a hotel/tourist restaurant."

  • "We have dined at Bridgewater several times over the years and have never been disappointed by the food or the service. The staff is amazing and always willing to make recommendations. We have dined for both breakfast and dinner and the food is always phenomenal."

  • "This is accurately advertised as "American, Comfort food." We went on a Saturday night with kids, looking for a nice dinner out but on short notice and this popped up on Open Table so we gave it a try. I think it was an unusually quiet night due to weather. Everyone enjoyed the dinner, especially dessert. They served a New York style cheesecake that was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant (I have an old family recipe that is hard to beat, but this came close). My only complaint would be the limited menu. It had only one vegeterian dish and limited options for fish (grilled salmon on pasta or fish tacos). This restaurant is part of the Golden Hotel, and perhaps doesn't have to try as hard."

  • "Delicious brunch and friendly service. My wife and I love eating brunch in restaurants around metro Denver. We decided to meet some friends at Bridgewater Grill on Sunday since our friends lived near Golden. We really enjoyed the food and the excellent service. I look forward to coming back."

  • "I had heard such great things! We sat quickly, but no wait staff appeared. Our nine year old noticed that another couple sat following us were greeted and served faster than we were, by the same waitress. I ordered chips/salsa; it was fine. One of us had the classic burger (didn't put any of the veggies on it) with fries and was very happy. Another ordered the steakhouse burger and with the soup of the day. The soup was good, but the bun fell apart while he tried to eat his burger. I ordered the Foothills Hot Roast Beef sandwich, and was disappointed by the lack of caramelized onions and the abundance of arugula. The Cherry Cobbler was mostly bing cherries in a dish with minimal cobbler topping and ice cream. Overall, we were disappointed."

  • "Very beautiful spot to see holiday lights along the creek, food a bit overpriced. .. took a while to get our waiter to come over after hostess seated us. He, the waiter, was not unfriendly but I sensed he either was not thrilled about having a two year old in our party, didn't like my son in laws informal dress or was just not a warm and fuzzy guy. He was not rude but we overheard the young women wait staff making lots of appropriate small talk with their customers and our waiter just seemed a bit cool. He never came and asked us how meal was or if we wanted anything else, in fact my husband had to go find someone to bring us some ketchup.again, he did his but just not too interest in doing more than the basics of his job."

  • "The ambience at this restaurant was outstanding, we had a table looking out at clear creek and the Christmas lights on the trees along the banks. The menu is very limited for fine dining, but serves a varity of hamburgers (beef or buffalo) and very good fish and chips."

  • "Poor service keeps people from returning. I asked twice to have a candle for my daughter dessert because it was her birthday and she just turned nine. Not only did we not get a candle or recognition of her birthday, but they forgot the dessert."

  • "From the atmosphere to the entrées, you will not be disapointed with tge restaurant! I highly recommend it and plan on going back time and time again. I stayed at the hotel there that night and had the chance to have breakfast there as well. It was probably one if the best i've had in awhile! The portions were perfect and the quality, from the food to the staff's performance was perfect!"
