This was my first time there and I was not at all prepared for what to expect. When we walked through the Inn, I felt like I was immediately transported to another place and time and everything was well maintained. But it was when I walked out onto the patio that it took my breath away. The huge 200-year old trees form an amazing tent over a lovely brick patio. There is even "live entertainment" in the form of ducks meandering by the little stream. The staff is very pleasant and waitress was excellent. The Ahi Tuna was not the best and overcooked around the edges. My husband and daughter enjoyed the meatloaf and scampi. The filet mignon, chicken, ahi tuna and swordfish entrees were all prepared and presented perfectly. The creme brulee dessert was pronounced "best ever" by my sister who has ordered it everywhere, and the other desserts we had were memorable as well. Reading the reviews, I have to say the reviewers were wrong... THEY DIDN'T DO JUSTICE TO THIS PLACE!!! Arguably one of the best hidden gems we've ever found, I can't complain about a single thing. The menu was perfectly sized, and our meals -- my wife's filet mignon and my rack of lamb -- were both exquisite. Coupled with great wine, a pre-dinner cocktail and a delightful crab cake app, I would've been satisfied. But dessert took it over the top. The Bourbon pecan tart was the most delectable dessert I've ever eaten. Oh and our server... FABULOUS!! The atmosphere was romantic, or just elegant. The view out the windows was beautiful. Although it is close to a major road, there is no road noise once inside. I highly recommend this for a quiet dinner or a special occassion. You won't be disappointed. Everything from the crystal stemware & bone china plates, to the hand written receipt at the end demonstrates their care for their patrons. They make you feel special, not just a number, which is becoming ever more rare in this day and age. This was the second time that my husband and I dined there, the first being our wedding lunch. The food was excellent, our waitress was extremely friendly and efficient, the setting was relaxing and very nice. Although we weren't drinking I noticed they have an AWESOME wine selection so I am looking forward to partaking on our next visit. The food was great.. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and service we received.. Did I say the food was great?
