Food is typically bar fare but our server was very good.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMwheneverWe have been there numerous times ,as a couple and with family and every time we went it, was an excellent experience.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! My boyfriend and I sat outside on the patio here on a beautiful night and enjoyed some good drinks and great food (he had a burger, I had a turkey burger...both were awesome). Great beer selection and friendly service. Will definitely return! Also great people watching on south street.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AM3 out of 4 isnt badapps, tuna and desert were good, wife's crab cake was terrible ...all filler and no crab meat
I would go back one more time..we sat outside and people watched6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant was the perfectThis restaurant was the perfect place to host a small dinner party for a birthday! The accommodations for the Monkey Bar Room was professionally handled prior to arrival and service throughout the evening was superb. Our caretaker, Sean, was attentive, accommodating, and personable throughout the entire evening. He was so very pleasant and was an expert of the menu and made good recommendations from the appetizers to the wine selections. The food was served promptly and cooked to order. Our accommodations were satisfactory throughout the evening and we were able to enjoy the space of the upstairs area, to fit a group of 12. Thank you for such a great service!!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOut of townerWhenever I'm in Philadelphia - I ALWAYS stop at Bridget Foys!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways changing, Always goodEvery time I go to Bridget Foy's there is something new and different, but what never changes is the quality of the food and service.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOur 21st AnniversaryMy husband and I had our first date here in 1992 so we try to get back here every year to celebrate. We were seated right away and our waiter asked us what brought us here tonight. When we told him the occasion, he thanked us for coming back to see them. They were so nice to us and made us feel very special. The chef sent out a complimentary appetizer AND a beautiful fruit "soup" for dessert. WOW! The food was delicious and we were not rushed. Great waiter and I feel bad that I can't remember his name but he was friendly, professional and infiormative.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent FoodThe food here is the best. Took the wife and kids for Mothers Day brunch and we all enjoyed the menu. Service lagged a bit but I'll chalk that up the crowd. It was very crowded so I take that to mean its a well known spot and others agree that the food is great.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've walked pst Bridget Foy'sWe've walked pst Bridget Foy's dozens of times and finally decided to give it a try for Mother's Day dinner. We arrived about 30 minutes early for an 8 person reservation, they seated us without a problem. Our waiter was with us in no time, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The chorizo meatballs and cheese plate were the highlight of the appetizers we ordered; the meatballs were golden brown with a mild smokiness and just a bit of spicy heat. The entree selection was perfect for the eclectic group of diners we had, a great deal of contemporary American choices with some Italian and Asian selections mixed in. We were so stuffed from the great dinner that we skipped the enticing desserts. Great beer and wine selection.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, odd serviceCame here for a combination Mother's Day & Graduation brunch- the Crab Benedict and Biscuit & Gravy Benedict was absolutely delicious! The bacon wrapped biscuit was alright, but not nearly as good as the other two which was a little bit of a disappointment. I would highly recommend the restaurant again for it's food and ambiance! However, the service was odd. Our waitress was very out of it. She couldn't speak English very well, which is normally fine, but she couldn't even recognize what we ordered until we physically pointed to the item on the menu. We also had to remind her that we ordered an appetizer and drinks because she forgot those too.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurant for lunchExcellent restaurant for lunch and dinner. The people are always friendly and attentive. We have never had a bad experience. We have been going there for over 15 years.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGirls Day OutMy friends and I spent the day in Philly for our "Girls Day Out". There were six of us. We went to a show and then had dinner afterwards at Bridget Foy's. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere was energetic and fun. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled many of the appetizers, had some drinks and then split some dinners. Everything was delicious. Definitely have to try the mac and cheese. Best of all, you didn't feel hurried even though it was a Saturday evening and you couldn't beat the prices!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMService was great... our foodService was great... our food came out quickly and was tasty. The burgers were a litt dry but still good.. our favorite item were the short rib fries... delicious! Overall, great experience and will definitely be back!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLove it- one issueEaster- as none of the family can agree on a menu- we tend to eat out on holidays- This meal was a great experience from the point of view of the service- they had our table for 7 on the 3rd floor and we had it to ourselves. People could not have been more accomodating despite having to go up all the steps to serve. What was disappointing was the 'special' Easter menu- the staff were not even aware of it and once we got it we were sorry we asked. The entrees were simply not at all inviting.
We enjoyed what we ate from the regular menu and the time spent and we will continue to return to this ' no muss no fuss' place eagerly.
I would only suggest just a pinch more inventiveness to holiday menus.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat new family tradition,Great new family tradition, Easter brunch with a great seat to see the Easter Parade with all the little kids. We will be back next year!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved my egg white omlet.I loved my egg white omlet. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. And I'm sure I will again !!!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a standard for myThis is a standard for my wife and me. The food is good although I think they could offer a few more specials. The menu hasn't really changed for a while. The beer list is pretty good too which i especially like. South Street is busy most of the time and if you don't like that, you wont want to sit outside, but on a nice day, it's hard to beat.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMenjoyableFood was good, Our waiter Kevin made the experience great!!
