I would recommend this restaurant for foodies and those looking to enjoy outside dining in nan energetic environment ( restaurant sits along South Street). Parking may be a challenge but usually the later you done, the easier street parking becomes."

  • "My friend and I went for lunch. It was not that busy and our server let us know he was new. You would not have known he was knew by how good he did. The food came out fast and hot. My friend had the chicken tortilla soup to start where as I had the beef barley. Both were delicious. Than she had honey chipotle wings and I have the cheesteak croquettes. Both of those were wonderful and flavorful. Than we had dessert. They brought out a little camera that you look into to see what the desserts look like. We decided to share the s'mores. It was a perfect size and hit the spot, so delectable. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its fun, the food is delicious, the service is great. I will be going back again and again."

  • "I hesitate to call it a stand-by because that makes it sound a little worn. Bridget Foy's is a great place and yet it always fits the bill. It is a guaranteed good meal. The service is good; the food is tasty and warm and interesting. The ambience is warm and energetic, but one never has to shout to be heard. Frankly, I'm not sure how they do it so well all the time. It is just a fun and rewarding place to go."

  • "Bridget Foy's is a neighborhood restaurant that has been in the same location for quite a while. Bar is always crowded, mainly with locals. The owners are usually around and are always friendly making the place homey and inviting. We have visited the restaurant often. From early mornings on weekends for brunch to special days like New Year's eve, Valentine's and Mardi Gras. Food has been consistently good and prices reasonable. Seating has not been ever a problem, but reservations are recommended, especially during Holidays. On New Year's eve the place was mobbed but the crowd was pleasant, the place was performing smoothly, and our reservation was honored on time. Try the meatloaf, the mac and cheese (for real!), and all desserts!!!"

  • "My friend and I went in for the Fat Tuesday specials. I'd never been there before. I wouldn't say anything was fantastic, but it was good. The $5 Hurricanes on special weren't very strong, but were ok for $5. And the food is basic American bar food. If a friend was going out in that area and wanted something decent but inexpensive, I'd recommend this place."

  • "We went to Bridget Foys for a night out with good friends and were delighted with the food from appetizers to dessert. The mac and cheese fritters and mushroom flatbread were excellent and came out quickly, fresh and hot. Our dinners were also excellent - lamb shanks with mushroom risotto was out of this world good as was the lobster ravioli, and the beef short rib tacos. The desserts were also good, but not to the level of the dinners. All in all, fantastic meal and definitely planning on going back."

  • "Bridget Foy's is one of the best restaurant's I've been too...and I've been to many. The service, the atmosphere, the food...just simply amazing! While it may sound weird, you must try the mac-n-cheese topped with potato chips. It's to die for. Each time my colleagues and I go to Philadelphia for training at Society Hill, we attend this restaurant at least 3-times within that week. And then go back and brag about our experience to the class. Bottom line, if you are in Philly, skip the cheese steaks and go to Bridget Foy's...she'll treat you right!"

  • "A friend and I took our other friend out for their birthday to Bridget Foy's. None of us had been there before, but we found it online and thought it looked perfect. They even had a gluten-free menu for my friend who has dietary restrictions. As soon as the three of us walked in we said how perfect it was. The music, which was really awesome, was not overpowering and loud, but still perfectly audible. The other patrons were not obnoxiously loud either. Our waiter was funny and seemed like he liked being there. We kept saying that there had to be something wrong because this place was too perfect. Then the food came out-and it too was awesome. We really enjoyed Bridget Foy's and fully intend to come back."

  • "Briget Foy's is probably my favorite restaurant in the city, and they have the best veggie burger I've had in my entire life. All the food I've had there has always been delicious. Additionally the prices are unbelievable for the quality of the food you receive. Briget Foy's could easily get away with hiking their prices up because of its great location on South Street, but they do not."

My husband and I went for an early V-Day dinner and were quite impressed with the food! My husband's fish and couscous was so enjoyable that he made the waitress pass on his compliments for an outstanding dinner! We can't wait to bring our friends in so they can enjoy the food and great atmosphere!"

  • "Great for special occasions OR a night out with friends! I went with my boyfriend and mom during restaurant week and the food was amazing! For appetizer, I had the crab corn bisque, mom and bf had a salad. For entree, we all had the filet mignon. For dessert, I had oreo cheesecake, mom and bf had triple chocolate mousse cake. We all loved our dishes, no complaints from anyone. The deal also included a mac 'n' cheese croquette, which was TO DIE FOR! Most delicious bite of food all night! Also included a choice of cocktail--mom and I had blood orange mimosa and bf had red wine sangria, which he didn't end up liking much--not fruity enough. Server was great too! Only downside was a rowdy group of girls next to us. will definitely come back!"

  • "Over all a great experience. The creativity of the menu offerings was great, it was wonderful to find dishes that were not to be seen on any other restaurant's menu. However, 2 of the 4 dishes purchased by our group were judged to be lacking in flavor. I had to do something a diner should never have to do...I added salt. But the service was terrific, so much so that I would go back for that reason alone. Having said all that, I know that flavor is hard to nail down to everyone's tastes and I will be going back at some point in the future."

  • "I went with a group of friends on a Thursday. It wasn't to crowded. I was with 7 ppl in my party the waitress was very attentive and nice. The food came out promptly and was good there wasn't to bad of a wait. I had the Mac n cheese fritter to start that was good , next was the corn and lobster bisque this I couldn't actually eat becaus it had bacon in it an I don't eat pork or red meat but others in my party said it was delicious. Next course I had shrimp and lobster linguine this was pretty good. Last I had the apple crumble this was awesome. Overall I would go back"

  • "Bridget Foy's offers the same menu throughout the day - same priced burger at lunch as at dinner. So, I was surprised to see a RW lunch menu but I love steak and thought I'd check it out. VERY disappointing. If RW is to get new diners to become regular customers, I doubt this will happen. Three courses: two TINY cheese steak croquettes for an app, raw/tough steak (not medium rare as I ordered), a bowl of soggy fries (this is not "steak frites"), and the tiniest dessert portion I've EVER been served in a restaurant. Although I've dined here before, this was a real let down and I would not go back. I definitely don't recommend unless you are going out to drink/party with a group of friends on South Street and don't care about the food."

  • "We dined there as part of restaurant week and for a flat $35 per, we enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal which also included a drink. I selected the eggplant parmigiana stuffed pepper while my wife dined on the braised short rib which I intend to enjoy on our next visit. A post dinner stroll about the historic and scenic neighborhood was a warm finish on a frigid night to a thoroughly delightful evening."

  • "I recently went to Bridget Foy's for Restaurant Week with a group of 6. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by the manager and taken to our table. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful when it came to drink and food decisions. The food was amazing, I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly! Our waiter and the manager each stopped by a few times to check on us and see how the good had come out for us. Everyone left extremely happy and ready to go back another time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!"

  • "Restaurant's such as Bridget Foy's strike the perfect balance during Restaurant Week. For $35 you get great food, nice presentation, a cocktail and dessert. My fiances filet was cooked perfect and my short rib could be eaten with only a fork. Overall the portions were good, until dessert came and my slice of cheesecake was about 1/4" thick at most which was disappointing (thus no 5 stars). I would certainly go back, restaurant week or not."

  • "I arrived 15 minutes late to the restaurant. I was told to wait while the menu was switched over from Lunch to Dinner. I had called the Friday before my reservation and was informed that Restaurant Week's lunch ended at 3:30 as opposed to 3 pm -which is what the House Manager stated. My fiancé and I ultimately left Bridget Foy's and had lunch at Devon's instead."

  • "We went to this restaurant for restaurant week. The only disappoint was the dessert. The apple crisp hardly had any apples and it needed to be served hot not cold. The topping on the chocolate mousse cake had no flavor. That being said my meal was awesome. I had the short rib with awesome Mac n cheese. Would definitely go Back again"

There's a unique Philly vibe and the bar and restaurant have a great view of the action on South Street at Head House Square, plus you'll love the art which has a history of it's own. Try the fried pickles. And the lobster bisque is really good here."

  • "The food was good but the service was lacking. We had to wait 20 mins even though we had a reservation. We ordered our meal and our soup was good. Two bites into our soup, our meal arrived. The server forgot the steak knives and ketchup. We had to flag down the manager to get them. We were still finishing our soup and the dessert arrived. The server never came back to check on us. Very disappointing!"

  • "This is a long standing neighborhood bar/rest. The food has always been good but lunch - midweek can be pricey ($12 burger and sanmdwiches). So we go there less often. Except in Summer when tourists are in the place is not very busy and maybe "specials" would bring in customers"
