Bridges RestaurantAlways a great dining experienceBridges is always a special experience, food and service are excellent.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day MondayBecause of work, we couldn't celebrate Mother's Day until Monday. We thought it would be a quiet evening but others must have had the same idea. We had the prix fixed menu, flat iron steak and pomegranate chicken. Our food and service was as great as we expected.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMService was outstanding! My family and I went for Mothers Day. It was perfect from the food to the service. Our server Mattie was wonderful, she really made the whole experience exceptional! Great job Bridges!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe LOVE Bridges!Bridges is out go-to restaurant for special occasions, a relaxing weekend brunch, or just about any chance we get. This last time we went was for our daughter's 10th birthday brunch with grandparents. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio for a very leisurely brunch.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMToo kids friendly? We went for our anniversary and I would love to tag this restaurant at romantic BUT, there were kids running around the patio and climbing all over the fountain we were seated next to. The kids were not being bad, but it was a little distracting to have the kids running around our table all night. Their parents sat in blissful peace at the far end of the restaurant enjoying an extended dinner while the kids ran around. This seems to be more a problem with the town of Danville than with Bridges in particular, however it could have been dealt with quietly by someone on staff and it would have changed our experience completely.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWelcome back BridgesI have been here 3 times in 2 months after a long absence. Based on my last 3 meals Bridges can stand up to any Restaurant in the Bay Area. I loved Bridges years ago but had a few hit and miss meals in the last decade so stopped going. A coupon got me to try it again and I am so glad. I have had the veal, swordfish and an ahi like dish called Tombo I think. All were excellent, including the appetizer of Brie, salad and dessert. Welcome back Bridges, we missed you!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service. The only minorGreat service. The only minor disappointment was the salmon, which we wanted and was told would be serverved medium; we got it well done.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother pleasurable meal atAnother pleasurable meal at Bridges. Ambience when sitting on the patio can't be beat. They even had a singer and keyboardist providing entertainment! Food is very good, as always, especially the simpler items like the kid's burger and chicken fingers. A local favourite.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSurpriseWe hadn't been in a few years and we were very surprised with the change. Especially the food was "fantastic".5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere on the patioBridges never disappoints in the food area, but our dinner there the other night was especially enjoyable because we sat outside on the patio. Dining to the sounds of the great guitarist/singer was glorious! The energy was lively but tempered by the sound of the nearby waterfall. All in all it was a splendid evening!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Birthday Lunch in DVilleWent here for a nice Birthday Lunch in Danville.
Not to Heavy, just perfect for a nice salad or a nice sandwich. Daniel, our server was just perfect.
Their Salads are perfect! Their small plates are perfect, as well. The ambience both inside and out is great for lunch.
Thank you for making my friends Birthday Lunch a special one, and not rushing us through!4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBridges just keeps gettingBridges just keeps getting better and better. Each dish conveys the art of culinary. So glad to have Bridges in Danville!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMSat on the patio and it wasSat on the patio and it was a great evening of food, service and music!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI haven't dined here in yearsI haven't dined here in years due to some soso meals over the last few years but I am thrilled to say Bridges is back! My friend and I had a fabulous meal from start to finish. I started with a beet salad with the swordfish as my entre. Everything was perfect. My friend had the veal and said it was the best she ever tasted. The service was spot on. My only disappointment was we were both too full for dessert. Next time. We will be back soon!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur main courses were bothOur main courses were both very good; in particular, my Lamb Shank was one of the best I've ever had, and my wife said her pork chop was excellent. My dessert-- butterscotch pudding -- was poor; so little flavor that I don't think I could have told what it was if I'd been given it in a blindfolded test, and the texture was rather gritty rather than creamy.
You may forward these comments to the restaurant.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a pleasure to dineAlways a pleasure to dine here. Food is great and staff and service are perfect. We can't wait for warmer weather and eating on the patio!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLisa the manager and Joe ourLisa the manager and Joe our server gave us great service!
The food is always wonderful, the service is well paced and everyone makes you feel like family.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal, beauiful restaruant butBeautiful restaurant with a lovely decor. Meal was creative and delicious. The presentation was excellent. Waitperson was terrific, helpful, and with a wonderful attitude. The bar had one bartender needed help as it took a long time to receive drinks.
Friday night noise level was abit loud so I cannot say it was romantic. The biggest disappointment was dessert. Coconut ice cream lacked the promised flavor & tasted like frozen iced milk. The pudding dessert lacked flavor & heaped with an overbearing amount of frozen cool-whip like topping. While cute the oreo type cookies lacked flavor and the center filling was tastless.
I would go back again and encourage friends but would pass on desserts.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAll was excellent even thoughAll was excellent even though you were very busy for Easter.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster Brunch. Menu was forEaster Brunch. Menu was for foodies, didn't appeal to all people. Server accommodated us where she could. No breakfast type food on the menu.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Easter Brunch. ChoicesWent for Easter Brunch. Choices very limited for children. Portion sizes were very modest for what appeared to be highly inflated prices for a "special event" meal. I suppose Bridges knows Danville folks can afford an overpriced menu.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAs Great as I Remembered!Hadn't been to this restaurant in years. Decided to try it out again for Easter Brunch. Excellent menu, great food, spot-on service! The Fried Oyster Frittata was excellent! We'll be back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent waitstaff. 3 courseExcellent waitstaff. 3 course brunch outstanding. $ . Noisy, but nice ambience overall.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great time! Great food and ambiance.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and wine were great,Food and wine were great, just the right level of noise for privacy but not too loud, our waiter was very attentive (can't remember his name!! sorry!), and they didn't rush us-- they let us have a leisurely dinner. We would definitely go back.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBridges for BusinessThis was my first time at Bridges, and I had been wanting to go for YEARS! I took a few business associates here on a Monday night and it was just perfect! The service was excellent, the setting is roomy (I hate those SF places that pack you in so tight - practically sharing your table with strangers!) and the food was very good. So if Coi, Gary Danko, and Masa' are 5 star - which they are - Bridges is a less expensive, comfortable 4 start that gets the job done nicely!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a group of five, 25-59yrsWe were a group of five, 25-59yrs old. Two of us had been to Bridges quite some time ago, and remembered that we enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was was very friendly and helpful. He recommended two dishes that we enjoyed. We eat out quite a bit and like food with bold flavors. Two of us had the veal, one pork chop, one swordfish and one ahi tuna over black rice. The restaurant has a charming little patio area which I imagine is nice during warm months. We all enjoyed our meals/service and definitely plan on going back.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMJust a very enjoyable evening.Just a very enjoyable evening. From the valet parking staff, to reception, to the wait staff, and topping off with an amazing meal. Excellent choice and one we'll repeat.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMScallop dish was a bit tooScallop dish was a bit too salty. Outstanding food - subtle, interesting and nuanced - without pretension.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our absolute favoriteThis is our absolute favorite restaurant. We moved to the East Bay in 1992 and have dined at Bridges for as many years on occasions when we want to celebrate something, when friends come into town, or just to eat there (no particular reason). We have never had a meal that missed a mark, nor service that wasn't excellent.3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were in SF for a get-awayWe were in SF for a get-away away weekend and stopped by Bridges in the East Bay for dinner. We were here last in '09 and it's still humming. The food was very good, service was on their game and the valet too.1/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely brunch in a prettyLovely brunch in a pretty restaurant with a good menu and excellent service; how can you go wrong? Spectacular Oyster Benedict, never even heard of that before, and a wonderful prawn salad, good cocktails. Couldn't be much better.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBridges rarely disappoints,Bridges rarely disappoints, and their recently launched weekend brunch menu is no exception. While the Truffled Mushroom Frittata was a little strong on the truffle oil, the Grilled Prawn - Sesame Noodle Salad was a fabulous blend of textures and flavours. Atmosphere is comforting and warm, and the service top notch.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AMelegant and wonderful restaurant, elegant and wonderful restaurant, exceptionally warm and friendly service, terrific Thanksgiving meal.11/22/2012 12:00:00 AM
