General comment as this the first time any of us had been their as we sampled each other's entree. That was good with the salmon being voted the best entree at our table. The food is consistently great with old standards and exciting specials. You could eat here every day and never get bored. While the food is always a delight, the service is what puts it above and beyond. From the minute you're greeted, you know you're going to be treated well. Great drinks, great food, excellent staff, views.... What more could you ask for! The two floors of this restaurant right across from the ocean are beautifully decorated and set the tone for an enjoyable, relaxing dinner. You're not rushed here as you are in so many Boston restaurants. It's well worth getting out of the city for this fabulous restaurant .
The specials are always intriguing. Starting with appies right down to the final cappuccino, the overall experience at Bridgemans will leave you with a smile one your face! The high points were the mushroom soup, veal piccata, and scrod. The menu is varied and everything is top quality and well prepared. There is a good choice of wines. My wife and I split the berries with lemoncello zabaglione for dessert. It was so good that It will keep us coming back for more. The service was excellent. I had a wonderful meal that included lobster ravioli, shrimp, scallops and spinach topped with a wonderful lobster sauce. I loved every minute. Food was fabulous, service was excellent, place is pretty, nice view but the smell of old grease was brutal. So much so, that I left with a headache and had to air out my coat. It's not fair to give a "bad" review though, since everything else was so spectacular. I usually don't complain, but I think they should know this so that others won't experience this. Our hostess/owner sat us upstairs at a perfect table with a view. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel welcome and did not rush us.When the music came on and was a little loud for dinner music I was afraid it would make it hard for our party to talk but before we knew it they had adjusted it. The menu wasa good mix especially for our two daughters 17 & 23yrs. we all enjoyed our dinners with one taking home her leftovers to be consumed for lunch the next day.
