Went here for a Sunday brunch- it was a little chilly out, but nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the view. We each had Bloody Marys to drink and they were fantastic- great flavor without being too over the top with the garnishes. I had the veggie omelet and my husband had the corned beef hash, which we were both very happy with. Will definitely be back.

The main reason to dine here is to enjoy the awesome river-side patio on a nice, sunny day. The trees and umbrellas provide just enough shade and it is much more enjoyable than dining on a sidewalk near a busy street with taxis and buses. The food - I had braised pork tacos - was quite good; I wasn't blown away, but it was definitely good. And good enough, overall, to make me want to come back and try another dish. I think the bar and patio would make for an excellent post-work happy hour destination -- in good weather.

My first visit to Chicago to visit friends who have lived there all of their lives, but have never tried this restaurant. Chose this upon recommendation by a friend of mine who lives near me in Philadelphia, but lived in Chicago for 3 years. Absolutely charming staff, fantastic view and amazing brunch. Portions are large and with $5 mimosas and Bloody Mary's, it was just perfect. I will come back my next time in town; my Chicago friends have added it to their favorites!

looking out the river... it's pretty fabulous... except the food's pretty much all bar food. Mediocre fries, greasy appetizer. But the river view, despite the riverwalk construction, is worth it. :)

Food was really good, a treat really. Service was a little soft that day, we noticed our server missing on a lot of the basics that day (ours and other tables). Very nice outdoor view. The wind can be a challenge at times for the patrons and restaurant (lots of things blowing around). I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Went there for dinner on a nice summer evening and sat outside. Views are spectacular and seing the boats drive up and down the river is entertaining. Great spot to meet up for drinks or go on a date. I was not crazy about the food but the kitchen was also experiencing some technical difficulties that evening, so that could have been the reason. I will go back. If not for food, I will go for drinks.

My family decided to go to Bridge House Tavern after renting a boat on the river. It was lunch, and we requested to sit outside. The owner happen to be there and made arrangements for our party of 6 +1 infant to see outside, looking over the river. The service was terrific, the food was well received and reasonable for the area! Definitely returning- great spot!

We sat right on the water and the food was delicious. However, they need better waiters. The one we had could have cared less about us and when food was delivered the bus boys slapped it on the table and our waiter didn't even look at us when we asked a question. Need to up the class level of employees.

No exaggeration, some of the best food in River North. From simple dishes like the bread & butter (wanted to eat the butter with a spoon!) to the classic, perfect 1/2 chicken, everything was divine. Top choice: the kale cassoulet. Also the cheese platter was a great value! I couldn't believe how much came with it! If you're looking for an impressive meal that doesn't break the bank, this is it! Also, the inside ambiance is GREAT so don't worry about getting a table outside.

A last minute decision to enjoy Sunday brunch away from the busy Michigan Ave brought us here. It couldn't have been a better 4-6 block walk west. The view was great along the river, almost being able to touch boats and kayakers. The service was great and the mood was casual. My corned beef hash with poached egg was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her omelet. We would have returned but had to return home shortly after enjoying ourselves there.

It was rainy the day we went, so we couldn't sit outside--which is arguably the best part of this restaurant! one of the few Chicago places right on the river with a water view. the burgers were huge and flavorful; fries were well-seasoned. salad was average. our server rushed us because the kitchen was closing, and wasn't incredibly pleasant. however, i should note that they didn't rush us to leave the restaurant after finishing our meal. overall, food is fine but you go to BHT to sit by the water.

Your hostess was very accommodating to a last minute change in our group size. We had visitors in from out of town and they absolutely loved dining at your restaurant. I was really surprised to have such poor service at Bridge House Tavern last weekend. I was entertaining my sister and niece and wanted to wow them with a great view and what I have previously found to be excellent food and service. We arrived and they wouldn't seat us outside. They claimed to be tracking a storm, but it never rained. There were also several open tables outside. The server made us feel very rushed even though there was only one other table inside. He forgot drinks and then when he brought the forgotten wine, it was a half pour. I was just really disappointed. Won't go back anytime soon.

We ate here this past week, going for the view of the river and to try the food. The view was fine except for all the construction of the new river walk on the opposite side. The manager spoke with us several times and the the waiter was very efficient. We split the pork/shrimp tacos and also the BLT sandwich. Both were very good although a little spicy which seems to be a theme her. Also, the bacon is REALLY thick cut and the ciabatta roll was heated so it was a little on the hard side for my taste. Did not have dessert.

Made the reservation with OpenTable - others on the site had said that the reservation didn't guarantee outdoor seating, so I was a little worried about waiting for 45 minutes on an already late reservation for a Saturday night. No need for my fears though, the server took our reservation even though we showed up 20 minutes early to the restaurant and took us outside to the patio right away. The views of the Chicago River were basically the reason my friend and I wanted to eat there, and it was well worth it (we got to see the sun set over the river while we ate!). The server was friendly and accommodating, making virgin drinks for the under-21's, made good menu recommendations. Food was amazing, we left full and happy.

Reservations don't matter if you wish to sit outside. Just be forewarned that if you arrive and want to sit outside, you will be placed on the wait list as if you never bothered to make a reservation. Makes Open Table kind of a moot point, doesn't it? Also, server kept referring to a guest who had not arrived yet, as our "joiner." And when our "joiner" arrived, the host desk had no idea who we were even though she gave our reservation name. I think service training is in order. Other than that, Server was friendly. Server was also very knowledgeable about menu. Observed floor manager walk through dining room and loudly ask, "Does anyone know who that new busser is?" Classy, right? Food was great! Place was hopping and very loud.
