I really liked the environment of this place. It got a bit loud at times (Saturday late morning), but the service was great and I really enjoyed my omelet. Also, if you're above 21, the Chocolate Kringle is highly recommended!

My wife and I come to BHT once in a while, it is a small place with great outdoor space, so perfect for the summer. The food is usually quite good here until I tried the steam pot for the first time. It is a good deal for two lobster tails and abundant of other shell fishes, but the lobster was way over cooked and got a little tough. The Spicy Avocado Spring Rolls and the salad was great as usual. So just a word of advise, if you want to get the steam pot, make sure you mention to the server that don't over steam the food!

I made a 1:30pm reservation after the Chicago Marathon. I called at 1:30 to let them know we were leaving the park and would be there soon. It was at that time I was informed the kitchen would only be open until 2:00. I ran there, ordered food for my whole party and did it just under the wire. The food was incredible, the drinks were great. But we were definitely rushed out so that they could get the restaurant ready for another event. I just don't understand why the reservation was accepted.

I went here for brunch for the first time and was blown away. I ordered the corn beef hash and the first thing to hit me when the plate was put on the table was how good it smelled. And it tasted even better. I don't rave about food often, but this restaurant is a must for brunch lovers.

We went for Brunch. Service was very good and the noise level was just enough that we could talk normally and be heard. Food was good. There was nothing bad, it was just not notable. We chose to sit inside. I would go back and sit outside along the river

Went here for a Sunday brunch- it was a little chilly out, but nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the view. We each had Bloody Marys to drink and they were fantastic- great flavor without being too over the top with the garnishes. I had the veggie omelet and my husband had the corned beef hash, which we were both very happy with. Will definitely be back.

The main reason to dine here is to enjoy the awesome river-side patio on a nice, sunny day. The trees and umbrellas provide just enough shade and it is much more enjoyable than dining on a sidewalk near a busy street with taxis and buses. The food - I had braised pork tacos - was quite good; I wasn't blown away, but it was definitely good. And good enough, overall, to make me want to come back and try another dish. I think the bar and patio would make for an excellent post-work happy hour destination -- in good weather.

My first visit to Chicago to visit friends who have lived there all of their lives, but have never tried this restaurant. Chose this upon recommendation by a friend of mine who lives near me in Philadelphia, but lived in Chicago for 3 years. Absolutely charming staff, fantastic view and amazing brunch. Portions are large and with $5 mimosas and Bloody Mary's, it was just perfect. I will come back my next time in town; my Chicago friends have added it to their favorites!

Food was really good, a treat really. Service was a little soft that day, we noticed our server missing on a lot of the basics that day (ours and other tables). Very nice outdoor view. The wind can be a challenge at times for the patrons and restaurant (lots of things blowing around). I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Went there for dinner on a nice summer evening and sat outside. Views are spectacular and seing the boats drive up and down the river is entertaining. Great spot to meet up for drinks or go on a date. I was not crazy about the food but the kitchen was also experiencing some technical difficulties that evening, so that could have been the reason. I will go back. If not for food, I will go for drinks.

My family decided to go to Bridge House Tavern after renting a boat on the river. It was lunch, and we requested to sit outside. The owner happen to be there and made arrangements for our party of 6 +1 infant to see outside, looking over the river. The service was terrific, the food was well received and reasonable for the area! Definitely returning- great spot!

We sat right on the water and the food was delicious. However, they need better waiters. The one we had could have cared less about us and when food was delivered the bus boys slapped it on the table and our waiter didn't even look at us when we asked a question. Need to up the class level of employees.

No exaggeration, some of the best food in River North. From simple dishes like the bread & butter (wanted to eat the butter with a spoon!) to the classic, perfect 1/2 chicken, everything was divine. Top choice: the kale cassoulet. Also the cheese platter was a great value! I couldn't believe how much came with it! If you're looking for an impressive meal that doesn't break the bank, this is it! Also, the inside ambiance is GREAT so don't worry about getting a table outside.

A last minute decision to enjoy Sunday brunch away from the busy Michigan Ave brought us here. It couldn't have been a better 4-6 block walk west. The view was great along the river, almost being able to touch boats and kayakers. The service was great and the mood was casual. My corned beef hash with poached egg was fantastic and my wife enjoyed her omelet. We would have returned but had to return home shortly after enjoying ourselves there.

It was rainy the day we went, so we couldn't sit outside--which is arguably the best part of this restaurant! one of the few Chicago places right on the river with a water view. the burgers were huge and flavorful; fries were well-seasoned. salad was average. our server rushed us because the kitchen was closing, and wasn't incredibly pleasant. however, i should note that they didn't rush us to leave the restaurant after finishing our meal. overall, food is fine but you go to BHT to sit by the water.
