A word from Brickyard Gastropub
Brickyard Gastro Pub was designed in 2009 by owners Patrick Burke and Gavin Bradley. It has become the perfect place for a fantastic Happy Hour with daily cocktail and draft specials accompanied by a savory bar menu. The Craft Beer seeker will never be far from home with our extensive local, domestic and imported draft selections. But this is only half the story. Our “Gastro Pub” menu features local, organic and sustainable foods whenever possible and is paired off with some fabulous craft beers.
Sourcing locally is near and dear to our hearts. We source cheese as well as our grass fed all natural meats from NY State, organic produce from NJ, NY and PA and we follow Monterey Bay’s Seafood Watch Program only sourcing sustainable seafood. Our commitment to sourcing locally has even brought us to Amy’s Bread just a few blocks down.
Cheers & Bon appetite!

  • "Love this place. Best wings in the area!! I come here all the time since I live in the area and the staff are great and always super accommodating!"

  • "We wanted a place to eat before going to a show so thought we'd give this place a try. I had the lamb and it was outstanding. My daughters had the filet mignon and it was very good. We had the place to ourselves but it was only 5:30 PM. I would go back next time I'm in N.Y. BTW, our server was really good and very attentive."

  • "Filet mignon and rack of lamb both prepared perto perfect temperature. The macaroons are nice. But 1 order is enough for 3 people."

  • "We wanted a bite to eat before taking in a show and this was perfect. The food was delicious, the burgers made from grass-fed beef, fantastic beer choices and great prices. Highly recommend!"

  • "We went to Brickyard on a Friday night with a mixed group of young and older adults and everyone was quite pleased. The menu has varied choices, from restaurant entrees to pub fare, and all of our meals were excellent, from the filet mignon and lamp chops to the bison and hamburgers. Plus, the beer list is massively impressive, from the exotic choices to go old PBR in a can. Very enjoyable evening by all. Will definitely go back, and often, as my son recently moved into the neighborhood."

  • "If your neighborhood no longer has a great pub with great food, wine and beers, make your way immediately to the Brickyard. A substantive menu, high quality ingredients and a friendly crowd make this an outstanding spot for lunch, dinner, brunch or anytime"

  • "Burger was very good. Overall appearance was nice (exposed brick, art work, etc). Value was good as well. But service was off. Waiter wasn't rude, but wasn't talkative or pleasant either (like he didn't want to be at work). Rarely checked back on us after receiving our food."

  • "Forgettable in every way. Nothing special and not going back."

  • "Pub food with a touch of class. All fresh ingredients. Crispy duck confit was delicious. Build your own burgers were a step above the norm. Truffle fries a winner. Warm brownie dessert also a winner. Wished I could try all desserts! Great beer menu, but wine offerings left me hanging. Convenient to theater. Found through a Restaurant.com offer and will definitely go back."

  • "After a lot of misses dining in Times Sq before a show, Brickyard was a nice change. Good is your standard pub fare but it's reasonably well done. Beer selection is extensive. We needed to eat in a hurry and they were great with that, quick efficient and friendly service. "

  • "After all of the reviews I was very excited to take my family there after seeing a show. Needless to say, it must have been an off night. When we arrived on time fir our reservation, our table wasn't available. After being seated, it took almost 30 minutes to get our drinks. Most of the reason I chose this restaurant is because there was a kids menu... However, they had no drinks for children. Soda or water. When our food arrived 45 minutes after the drinks, we were hungry. Unfortunately 2 of the burgers were severely undercooked and had to be sent back. 20 minutes later they were returned. Of course, everyone else was finished eating. While the food wasn't bad, it shouldn't take over two hours to have a meal at a bar. Will not return."

  • "We are not actually beer drinkers; my daughter learned to enjoy hard cider while studying in the UK - so we are always excited to find cider on a brew list. Brickyard actually had about half a dozen on their menu. Food was good. Service not so attentive - and it was early since we were going to see a show with a 7:00 curtain. But - a good pre-theater choice. We would return."

  • "We found this great spot online and chose to go there because it was close to New World Stages where we were attending a show. The food was amazing! The dining area is cozy but not crowded. The pressed chicken was so full of flavor, particularly the gravy and chicken. My daughter ordered off the kids' menu and loved hers as well."

  • "Delicious food. Amazing beer list. They gave us free champagne and free expensive beer on our anniversary! Very kind and great staff. Would definitely return!"

  • "The food was creative and delicious and the drinks were made very well. Service was good, it was very busy Friday at 6:30 and despite how busy our server was attentive and friendly. We will be back."

  • "My friends and I ate there on a recent trip to New York. The food was very good and reasonably priced ( I had chicken under a brick). The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived and we had reservations. I wasn't crazy about where they seated us,( I sat facing a wall). The service was nothing out of the ordinary, good at best."

  • "How wonderful that this super gastropub takes the time to have a gluten free menu with both food and beer! Great for anyone!"

  • "We headed to this restaurant on our first night in NYC after a long day of travel and exploring. The fact they had a kids' menu was a big draw for us, as we had three very picky eaters with us, but also five adults in search of a good meal. The Brickyard Gastropub met both needs; the kids were happy with their selections and the food and drink available to the adults hit the spot. My only complaint was that a couple of the main dishes were overly salted; but it was fine overall. Service was good; no complaints!"

  • "We selected Brickyard Gastropub due to its close location to the show we were going to. The service was attentive and the back dining area was nicer than I anticipated. The food was good, and the fish and chips were lightly fried and very tasty. Overall a solid place to go for a quick meal and good beer."

  • "Was looking for a place close to Rocky for either brunch or lunch and found the Brickyard--which offers both. We opted for lunch, my husband had a burger and onion rings, the burger done "his way", the rings were hot and crisp, not greasy. I had the Brickyard club--loved the spin on the traditional, including avocado and goat cheese, and the option to have it on a wrap. I had the truffle fries and they were perfect--better than the ones at a classy restaurant near our home. The only reason I didn't give the food 5 stars is that the turkey on the club was processed, not fresh. Service was good and prompt. Will definitely go back"

  • "Lively atmosphere. Bar scene is noisy, but sitting in the back was tolerable. Food was great, burgers delicious. Recommend for a casual night out with friends."

  • "Thrillist gave a big thumbs up to the truffle fries so that prompted my visit. Met a client for a casual lunch. The spinach/artichoke dip was delicious as were the sliders, frickles+ the celebrated truffle fries. The staff were all very engaging+friendly. A lovely find and we'll be back!"

  • "We went here for brunch, and thought the food was good, but not amazing. The service was fine, but not overly friendly. We had a nice brunch, but it wasn't anything spectacular."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "The Build Your Own Burger had plenty of high quality ingredient items to choose from. Definitely upgrade to the truffle fries. Beer list is organized by brewery distance, with several local-ish beers, in addition to your more well-known ones. The Kardashian's and Will Schuester from Glee think this pub is a win also."

  • "We needed to grab a bite before a matinee. Food was good, service was great. If we were beer drinkers even better because there is a huge beer menu!"

  • "I did like the concept of a locovore pub, with locally sourced and/or organic and vegan choices, but I was looking for a more quiet backroom environment to savor a meal and a pint. The beer list shows the distance from the pub to all the breweries, which was a cute touch. The front room is a noisy sports bar, with a very boisterous crowd cashing in on an extended happy hour. The back room has banquettes along the walls and was quieter, but the noise did spill in, and there were more overly bright monitors in the back. Excellent Caesar salad with shaved parmesan and a light lemon/anchovy vinaigrette (no glop).Basic grilled salmon on a bed of chipotle mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts with sopresatta bits thrown was good."

  • "We loved this restaurant. The food was terrific, the IPA beers delicious and we just had a great time"

  • "Went here because I like to go to places that have a good selection of "non average" beers on tap. The food was good, and the service was great. We sat in the back, away from the bar. This was nice, because it was less noisy, but the ambience was lacking in that part of the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly."

  • "I have been to this restaurant on several occasions, and this visit was regrettable. The food was, of course, great. The beer list was exceptional. But the server was subpar and disappointing. Not only did she initially forget to put in our appetizer, but she had a very poor attitude. When we did not order quick enough, she was surprised and annoyed. They offer tastes of beers on draft, and when I asked for a taste of a bottled beer she was very condescending in telling me this was not an option."

  • "We had dinner before a show. The food and drinks were good and we were able to get to our show on time....it is ten blocks from most of the theaters so plan ahead."

  • "Brickyard Gastropub was a fun and lively place to be on a Friday night out with the girls! The Steak Frites, Porterhouse lamb chops and Bison Meatloaf were an amazing combination to share. The beer selections were vast and very tasty. The waitstaff were pleasant and attentive, but not obnoxiously so. I would definitely go back to try more items on the menu and to keep up with the rotating taps."

  • "Nothing bad to say about the evening other than the 'barely there' lighting overall. Bring your iPhone after you've installed some sort of flashlight app if you are planning to order from the menu. The comfort food fare was affordable, delicious and the staff was great."

  • "The food was excellent, they had a great list of beers, and the dining area was separate from the bar which I thought helped the eat in experience. Highly recommended. Get the truffle fries!"

  • "Better than adequate pre-show burger & fries. Waitstaff was initially a little gruff/confrontation when we explained we had a curtain in an hour, but the food came very very quickly. Front room (bar) horribly zoo-ey; dining area in the back is small but sufficiently separate that you can ignore it. If you need a better than adequate burger in the Theatre District one hour before showtime, you could definitely do worse. Fine dining, however, it ain't."

  • "An outstanding dining experience. Service was outstanding. Attentive and knowledgeable waitress. Food was amazing. The cheese flight was superb. My companion ordered two apps: roasted brussels sprouts and truffle mac-n-cheese. Both were incredible. I ordered bison meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Meatloaf was so flavorful, yet not too heavy or fatty. Green beans were perfectly cooked; hot yet still with a crunch. Meatloaf gravy was so good you could've served it as a soup it was so tasty. Had 3 different local beers and all were fantastic. The overall price was very reasonable for NYC and given the excellent food, a great value. This is a great place for any occasion: date night, pre-theater dinner, anniversary, or whatever."

  • "Stopped here with some friends after spending the day Christmas shopping and seeing the tree. Really nice bar upfront, nice restaurant and more quiet in the back. Small menu with everything from burgers to filet mignon, pasta. We all wound up with burgers/sandwiches which were reasonably priced and delicious. Definitely worth another visit!"

  • "My wife and I ate at the Brickyard on "Black Friday". We found it to be wonderful and a definite neighborhood gem. The service was exceptional and very friendly. One note, we did eat in the front half which is considered the bar, so my review is based on that part and not the main dining area, though the main dining area looked fantastic with a great menu. We will be back to this restaurant."

  • "This is a great place to find some good craft beer. The food is great, but the selection is limited. The cheese place is awesome, and the truffle mac and cheese is to die for. We went here late night (10pm) and the bar was hopping....."
