The filet mignon and horseradish whipped potatoes are an excellent choice and the steak turns out perfect every time! I've also had the Oyster BLT here before and that is just outrageously good! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the oyster shooters and calamari as well.
The prices are very reasonable and the food is always fresh and made to perfection. The wait staff is also very friendly and attentive as well. Food is always good, service is better than good, and atmosphere is light, friendly and welcoming. The staff works REALLY hard and keep things moving. Some of the other food-runners lacked in professionalism and one even had a disgruntled demeanor. However, we did not hold this against our experienced waiter. My wife has several food allergies and Brickside always handles them with aplomb, this visit was no different. We had an excellent young waitress who was both attentive and timely in performing her duties. Only low light was the dearth of craft brews, 2 had kicked from their less than extensive list, hard to imagine when its 7:30 on a Saturday evening. This scenario would not have been conducive to adult conversation.
Although our server said that I could not order a frittata a la carte (There is a frittata station as part of the brunch buffet), the manager agreed to. He just substituted an omelet on the a la carte menu with my preferred frittata.
