Brickside Food & Drink was built on a single vision: create a fun, relaxed environment to enjoy delicious eclectic food, creative drinks and neighborly service. The fun starts at an energized Happy Hour, continues through dinner and when late night rolls around the music gets a little louder, the lights a little lower, and the drinks flow a little faster. Our open and airy bar and dining room areas offer you four 50" plasma TVs and a 12' HD projector so you never miss a game or event. Our climate controlled elevated terrace allows you to be outside year round to eat, drink and people watch.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "The food was great as usual, but our server disappeared for long periods of time and the busboy took my husband's plate while he was in the restroom. I looked away for a second and when I looked back the plate - with plenty of food still on it - was being toted off by the bus boy. I stopped the server and told her what happened and she apologized and said he was new. This isn't the first time that this happened at this restaurant though. I can turn a blind eye once, but repeat offenses get noticed."

  • "I planned a nice Sunday brunch here after reading the menu and falling in love with the Nutella French toast. My friend and I walked in and stood at the hostess stand until we decided to just go ahead and seat ourselves (there was no sign). After sitting for about 5 mins we were finally brought menus and greeted by our waitress although the place was not at all crowded. When she came back another time, way too far and between, we ordered our food. Naturally I asked for the Nutella French toast but the funniest thing happened, when the food came out a whole 40 mins later there were only regular frebch toast. On a more positive note everything was relatively good but I do not think I would take the time to go to Bethesda again for this place."

  • "This place was the perfect fit. This past weekend was my first time eating here, the ambiance was great, they had the sports on and all around, it was very lively. I went with a long time friend of mine and it was quiet enough for us to carry on conversations and we did a lot of catching up. Food was great, but because we were late 15 min for our reservation, we waiting almost 45 min for a table for 2... sort of ridiculous to me... my advice.. DON'T BE LATE!"

  • "Despite the owners/chefs' attempt to make this something more than a sports bar, dining there at 6:00 p.m. on a weeknight turned into a somewhat-noisy affair. Separated from the bar by a wall that the sound came pouring over, there was no way to escape the Happy Hour crowd at the bar. Fortunately, the TV's (only one with closed captioning, alas), tuned to sportscasts, were not also contributing to the din. Service was very attentive. The menu--sports bar/bistro, but one won't starve if you crave not a burger. I just wish I could have been able to read what was being said on-screen when I did care about a sportscast, and not had to compete so much with the energetic bar-seated crowd so to converse with my dining companion."

  • "A restaurant that serves Saturday Brunch is a rare find and Brickside meets the challenge. Good menu, good service with a great selection of music playing while you dine setting a vibe perfect for brunch with friends."

  • "The food was just ok. The veal ravioli was pretty good. The salmon was a bit on the small side for the price (I'd say it was about 3-4 oz) compared to the other items on the menu, and we were adventurous and went with the green onions for a side which ended up being oddly sweet and oily. The bruschetta was great and the crab/artichoke dip was somewhat lemony at times. The drinks were delicious - particularly the Pimms punch. If I went back there again (which I doubt I will), I'd probably stick with a burger."

  • "There are a few kinks. If they seat you next to the entrance in the winter, you're going to get cold every time the door opens. But that's a nit-pick. It's a sports bar with some pretty decent food. The waitress was pretty fast in her turnaround in terms of coming to ask what we wanted to drink, eat, etc., even though we like to take the menu in a bit before deciding. This isn't a bad thing though, since the waitress was very polite when we asked her to come back a few minutes later a few times. Crab and Artichoke dip was very good. We asked for more bread because they only give 6 pieces of bread for an ample serving of dip. They obliged gladly. I had the chicken wrap (really enjoyed it). Drinks were good (a bit pricey). 4/5."

  • "We love coming back here for the excellent food, friendly atmosphere (my husband loves it because he can always catch some type of sports on the huge screen or other TV's around the restaurant), and great service. It's wonderful to have a good selection of appetizers of everything from hummus to various flat breads. Although the menu has great selections and I promise myself to try other items, I always end up getting the Big Max Burger that has Boursin, sauteed onions, mushrooms and melted Brie. If you like McDonald's fries, you'll love the fries at Brickside, as well. It's one of those neighborhood restaurants where you feel comfortable the moment you get there until you leave. Best of all, it's affordable."

  • "It's kind of like this restaurant isn't quite sure what it wants to be. There are TV screens around the place, which makes it seem like a sports bar, but the menu is not all that varied (mostly burgers, flatbreads, and appetizers), and there aren't many options for sharing food in a group of people. I don't have anything bad to say about the restaurant (in fact, the spinach/ricotta flatbread was quite good), but there wasn't much that really stood out."

  • "I've been to Brickside for drinks on many nights, and finally tried their brunch. Prices are great, and they have extra food and drink specials on sundays for football games. $5 mimosas and $9 burgers? Can't beat it."

  • "I had heard mixed reviews on Brickside, but decided to try it for myself. I had a 'flatbread' which was basically half the size of a personal pizza, but decided not a flatbread, rather a football shaped pizza. It had cheese and sliced potatoes and rosemary and zero flavor. It was like eating cardboard. I asked for parmesan cheese and even tried some ranch dressing, but it was bland, bland, bland. My friend had a wedge salad and asked if they could make an adult portion of the kid's spaghetti with tomato sauce. The waiter couldn't figure out how to charge her for that, so he just brought her a small kid's portion. We left hungry. Bethesda has so many great choices - I won't bother trying this again and would recommend others go elsewhere."

  • "We just wanted to grab a bite at a local place and watch some college football and the Caps. It was our first time at Brickside and we were not disappointed. Great staff, ez TV viewing from just about anywhere, and most importantly, a great menu. We really enjoyed our first night out at Brickside and we recommend it as a great spot to grab a drink and some really good food. Flatbreads were awesome, as were the wings. We recommend---"
