Brick was a nice neighborhood find. The pizza was crunchy and the dough was sweet and delicious. The special of the night was goat cheese ravioli and they were light and creamy and wonderful. They tasted homemade and were a treat. The waitor was pleasant and eager to please. We would go back and send friends there as well.

Apparently, there was a change in management, so our fave brunch spot isn't what it used to be. For starters, brunch is Sunday only now; Some of the changes are a plus (ocean pizza - yum!) and a bigger selection of cocktails. But other changes, such as removal of certain items like the newer lackluster garlic fries and hesitancy to substitute/swap items is a disappointment. And the Sunday only brunch really bothers me. I didn't mind traveling over an hour by subway because the food and service was fantastic, but in lieu of these changes, I rather just brunch somewhere else. It makes me sad because I really loved this place.

I had purchased a Groupon, which had expired. The fine print said that they would honor it for it's face value. The manager could not have been nicer about it. We ordered the "Chopped" market salad, which was FABULOUS. It was the best thing in the meal. We also ordered pizzas. These were less special and both needed salt. Which was quickly supplied upon asking. Overall, the meal was quite good and I will return. Our server, Julio, really made the evening. He took excellent care of us and was able to professionally deal with the spontaneous birthday party in the adjacent booth as well as our table to 2. He is a gem!

Every venue has off days. I went to Brick in June for brunch and it had an off day. I decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately it was worse than the off day. One server handling the entire room was a hint that things were going to be weak. Our drink order languished on the bar while the server was running around refilling water glasses and bussing tables. Our food was delivered but missing the sides which apparently the kitchen forgot. Burnt french toast, a bloody mary that seemed like it was just clamato, and sides delivered toward the end of the meal. The kid serving did his best but management needs to stop and take a look at this.

  • Beware - New Chef
    bt10011VIP

a new chef is running the place/his pizza is not prime time & pasta has been taken off the menu. the new pizza crust is arguably better than before, crisp with a slight grainy texture - interesting but the toppings are bad. the cheese on the clam pizza is too dry and overwhelms the clams, that are overcooked and tasteless. the clams need to be added at the last stages of cooking. what used to be a fabulous and unique combination, the fresh fig and goat cheese pizza, has been turned into a gummy mess of fig jam and non-descript cheese. it should be struck from the menu or completely re-engineered. the staff was very good about our complaints. i hope the cooking improves as the restaurant is good & i'd hate to lose it as an option.

BrickNYC's pizza are full of favor and variety. The service is outstanding from the moment I followed up my reservation with a request for a quiet table in the back to the way they greeted my party to ensuring we had everything we needed for a great dinning experience. The slight criticism is that they are a bit light handed on the toppings. When I order a speciality pizza, I expect for it to be loaded with the speciality topping. On two of the pizzas it was barely any toppings. The manager was accommodating when this was brought to his attention and since the service was so amazing we will return again and give them another try.

Not worth a $138 price for meal and drinks for two. Monster sound system drowns out conversation and low lights make reading the menu hard. Just Just another high price buzz place. Nice interior, and the bar might be fine at 4:00, but it's a mess afterwards?

I had Brick suggested to me by friends in Manhattan (a friend of theirs performs there on Sunday). a pleasant surprise in the downtown area; food is quite good (quality and portions), though I had to suggest that the coffee was a bit weak. service is top-shelf didn't have time for anything from the bar, but I imagine it was on a par with the meal.

We came to Brick NYC to see the Dueling Piano show. Had a 730 reservation but didn't arrive until 830 due to traffic. It was no problem. Place was pretty empty. The food was terrific! Appy's stuffed pepper, fried calamari, and antipasto was awesome. We had a combination of salads and pizza's. All was very good. I especially loved the Spicy Margarita!!! Definitely would recommend you check it out.

We were able to get a last minute reservation for 6 on a Friday night when we happened to be in the neighborhood. The food was decent, nothing to write home about, but no complaints. Except for the service. They had only one waitress and bus boy for the entire restaurant. The bus boy tried his best to make up for the waitress' lack of attention. When we asked for pepper and cheese we were given a small pepper shaker and a container of Parmesan like at a pizza place. You'd think and Italian restaurant would serve fresh of both.

For my boyfriend and I, this is our favorite NYC brunch spot. It's really pretty inside, and the selection of brunch pizzas are fantastic. I've tried the margherita, bruha, fig & proscuitto, scamp, breakfast and mushroom pizzas. Each one of them, delicious until the last bite. I get sad when the plate is clean! The servers are always friendly, and the parmesan truffle fries are a must.

My girlfriend and I ordered brick oven Margerita pizza for 2 and the Parmesan truffle fries. Both were delicious and our server kept checking on us often, refilling drinks and such. Will definitely be returning to BRICK NYC. My girlfriend dropped her sunglasses and did not realize this until she left. She called the restaurant right away, they found her glasses and held onto them over the weekend until I was able to pick them up. Very nice experience all around.

The most spaceous restaurant I've ever walked into in Manhattan must be Brick NY, so given the fact I had a stroller in tow, that was excellent. The staff was very attentive, the food was excellent and the staff took into consideration that I am celiac without any problems, and the music was at a volume so you could still keep a conversation. The caesars salad was just rightly dressed and the polenta croutons delicious, the beet salad was perfectly done and the beets just a little bit al dente. Reportedly the shrimp pizza was fantastic. The only negative point would be that they had only one high chair and that the security strap was missing. I'm definitely coming back for more!!

I was in NYC for an overnight stay. We stayed in Lower Manhanttan and wanted to find a restuarant close to our hotel. Brick was very close, I liked their menu choices and their prices. The surprise was their excellent food. I shared the Market Salad, Zucchini Chips and a small Shrimp Scampi pizza with my husband. There was plenty to eat for two ravenous people.
