A word from Brick Lane Curry House UES
Brick Lane Curry House UES is the fifth location within the group and is an elegant, warm and welcoming restaurant with rich mahogany wood, chandeliers and swanky decor.

Named after the famous street in London (home to many Indian restaurants) Brick Lane restaurants in NY / NJ are heavily lauded by WSJ, CNN, NY Times, Travel Channel, Food Network etc.

We are a 'British Style Curry House' and much to our concept, serve an extensive array of curries from all parts of India. The 40 feet long bar offers a selection of signature cocktails, beers & ales with a bar menu while the dining room has extensive and delightful selections of curry's, kababs, biryani's etc. with a wine list to match! 'Crystal Room' and 'Upper Level' offer exclusive private dining and are ideal for holiday events, birthdays, baby shower, bar mitzvah, corporate lunch/dinner etc.

Diner Reviews
  • "Love the food here as well as the British Indian décor. Never fails to provide great food"

  • "I might be slightly bias because I've developed an addiction to their food, but this is one of the best Indian restaurants I've enjoyed. I usually go with my fiance on Friday nights and usually have more than enough food when we split 2 apps and 2 mains (which thankfully turns into awesome Saturday leftovers). Personal favorites: Lassuni Gobi - crispy cauliflower florets tossed in a tomato and garlic sauce., Samosa - crispy pastry, stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas or minced lamb. - *** GO WITH THE LAMB!*** Malai Kofta vegetable and cheese dumplings in a nutty tomato curry And the veggie Tikka Masala. I have to stress that at most restaurants trying something new comes with a certain degree of risk, here, everything is good."

  • "Emphasis on the flavors of the main ingredients, not overly creamed, buttered or uniformly seasoned like some places. Bright deep colors and distinct flavors. We tried both aloo and kheema samosas (wonderful), great lamb saag, and monkfish with a light chickpea batter and signature British-style curry sauce....all really delicious. Personable server with an interest in wine. There's a rear (quieter) dining room."

  • "The food was mediocre. Not spicy or flavorful. Great space and really nice decor."

  • "We went here before a concert and had Lamb Biiryani and Dal Makhani after starting with an Onion Bhaji. The Onion Bhaji was the best thing as the Dal Makhani didn't have the requisite richness it should have had and the Lamb Biriyani was good but not great. I'd say this was comparable to a good Indian restaurant on 8th Street. The setting was, however, very nice."

  • "Authentic Indian food in an upscale restaurant with stellar service and a full-service bar. We had two dishes recommended by the waiter - a full fish and lamb - both were delicious but, spicy! . I would definitely ask for "mild" the next time around... One appetizer with cheddar cheese on top was just "ok" - unusual for Indian food and seemed out of place. Worth a visit."

  • "I live on upper east and order out from Brick Lane Curry House. However my dinner was severely disappointing! The restaurant was not crowded yet kitchen was backed up. 2 waitresses were serving the entire place. The wait for our appetizer was 40 minutes. Entre was a lost cause. Don't go unless you intend to spend the entire evening waiting! Huge disappointment."

  • "We went here with a group of 4 people this past weekend. First and far most the customer service was fabulous. The 5 of us were treated extremely well, and the staff was extremely polite. They recommended dishes that would suit our group. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for others to enjoy!"

  • "Nothing we ate tasted like Indian food. The naan was a piece of pita cut in quarters. I requested raita and received a bowl of something else. The special appetizer was so awful - cauliflower florets - that had I not been hungry, I would not have eaten it at all. The waitress was extremely nice and we felt sorry for her that she was working there. There were few customers, so the emptiness of the restaurant did not help the ambiance, although the restaurant looked nice enough. Without edible food, the rest doesn't matter. It did happen that we tried two wines - one white, and one red, and they were both good. I hope they change chefs or they will not be long for the world."
