Brick & BottleWe use to be served by a waiterWe use to be served by a waiter named David, who was awesome, when we called and asked to be seated in his area, we were told he was no longer there, when we arrived the lady who greeted us was very friendly and of course the Manager is also so pleasant, our new waiter who had only been there a short time, was very friendly, super attentive and a really nice person.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingThe staff and food were exceptional. This was the best meal and dining experience I've had in quite some time. Everything I had (soup, tuna appetizer, oysters, scallops) was spectacular. And I eat out a lot.
Put this on the must do list6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waitress was outstanding:Our waitress was outstanding: professional and friendly and very good.
Was a quiet night there, so all the better for my friend and I to talk and celebrate her bday.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter Jeremy was veryOur waiter Jeremy was very good. he didn't touch the water glass where you drink, handed us knew silverware with a napkin. very 5 star (which is hard to find in a local restaurant) both my husband and I had the prix fix meal and loved it. the dessert was rum cake and I was able to swap out chocolate cake ...very good food and good prices too.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHost was very accommodatingHost was very accommodating and found us a table where we could watch the Giants game. Food was delicious and service was attentive. Really liked finding new and unusual items on the menu. We will be back!!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Birthday MealWe booked a last minute reservation for 8. We were greeted and seated promptly. Wait staff was attentive and quick. Wother this many people usually someone is unhappy, but everyone enjoyed their meal. My little cousin even got ice cream on the house, and the birthday girls dessert was on the house. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Experience.I planned an early Fathers Day for my husband at Brick&Bottle.
We were delighted by our food choices and were the most impressed
by the service we received. We were treated like royalties by our server.
Highly recommend this place and will go back again.
Rosalva MacQuarrie6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service, OK foodWe were greeted well, and our server Sara was wonderful. The food was good but nothing to write home about.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDate NightWe had a party of 4 on a Saturday night and and had a great time. We had a leisurely drink in the bar before dinner. Service was prompt and the drinks were well made. Dinner was tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, and and it was a good value.
The gnocchi with heirloom pork sugo made me think of the sugo de cingale we had in Tuscany. The petrale with crab-mashed potatoes was excellent. Some of the dishes seemed to be take-offs from classic dishes, but updated and well executed with great local ingredients.
the service was great as well.
i don't normally write such a glowing review as I'm pretty picky and have been in this business for a long time (jaded)but we had a really great time.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden GemDriving by on the freeway you see a simple sign. Even within the shopping area the Brick is a bit set back, tucked away in a corner. But once you go inside it is a completely different place, filled with vibrant energy, great food and friendly service. We could not have been happier with our experience which started in the bar for happy hour while watching the Giants and Sharks and then moved to a wonderful dinner and dessert.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchWe went for a Mother's Day Brunch, which was a buffet offering. The food, as is usual at this restaurant, was great. There were a number of offerings including carved roast beef, a delicious beet salad and deserts too numerous to mention. The weather was great and we had an outdoor table which was perfect for the day. We did not feel crowded or rushed and the staff was great. All in all, a wonderful brunch which I would definately do again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAn enjoyable experienceWe enjoyed the comfortable and friendly atmosphere and the attentive service. The salmon was excellent and the pizza tender and crispy.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMCasually upscaleWe enjoyed an appetizer of mussels, a specialty salad, and the salmon entree. The selections were flavorful and attractively presented. The atmosphere is casually elegant, with attentive but not overbearing service. We found the noise level to be higher than we prefer due to the packed bar. Next time we will ask to be seated outdoors.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great. DisappointedFood was great. Disappointed there was no creamed spinach any more, but the sautéed spinach was delicious. They have also changed the menu a bit and my favorite dessert was off the menu (pot du creme), but the flourless chocolate cake was super creamy and did not disappoint. Service was decent, but we did have to for the sides we ordered and they were out of the chicken entree. The starter salads were well put together and will order this again. Had a nice leisurely dinner with out of town guest for a celebration.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA fortuitous find in Corte MaderaComing back down HWY 101 to SF and wanted something convenient to get to, which this restaurant certainly is. We ordered five small plates rather than a first and second course and they were very well done, especially the grilled shrimp with pureed truffled cauliflower. The gnocchi with lamb sugo was well done, excellent sauce with flecks of black showing that the tomatoes or pepper had been grilled first. The pea ravioli had tough pasta and the peas lacked that fresh pea flavor that is so wonderful in the spring. Grilled asparagus, ham and fried egg reminded me of Andalusia. Freshly baked rolls were excellent with nice crackle to the crust yet soft interior. Service attentive. A fortuitous find and would be happy to go back.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSo why don't I get pointsSo why don't I get points for eating at this place?4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe will be backQuick service and extremely good food. Six of us agreed the portions seemed small but once we were done we were all full. A bit pricey but worth it.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMVery responsive to the needsVery responsive to the needs of our group, starting with seating us where we wanted. Personal attention, very good food.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find.Great find, but entrees are BIG!
AMAZING olive oil; good service.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice dining experience.YummyVery nice dining experience.Yummy crab cakes. nice cocktail and wine selection. Both the sole and scallops were prepared quite well and hit the spot. We'll definitely be back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTaking our time...What I love about B&B is that we were "allowed" to lounge long after we finished our meal, catching-up with my close friends. The server was excellent, attentive, but not too everpresent. In addition, the food was brought out quickly, hot and attractively presented. My rotisserie chicken was a bit dry however, but the orzo gouda mac-n-cheese was excellent, as was the butterscotch pudding. I recommened B&B, and plan on returning in the near future.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful Easter Brunch!!A wonderful Easter Brunch!! 3 stations with a wide variety of food and endless mimosas if desired. I will certainly go back to try the regular menu!!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent and professionalExcellent and professional waitstaff, greeter and bartender; the specialty cocktails were very nice. The salads and entrees were prepared with care and of high quality. Perfect amount of items on the menu that did not offer a confused palette. Bananas Foster could stand to be improved though- could've been homemade by a 12th grader...
Noise rating would have been lower except on this particular night there were several ear-piercing children screeching at the top of their lungs...3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
