A word from Bricco
Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Diner Reviews
  • "2nd time I have dined here and the food is absolutely stellar!"
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "Bricco is always outstanding: great service, unique and delicious food, wonderful ambiance."

  • "The 1st time was great, but if this was my 1st time, I probably wouldn't go back. Even arriving in time for my reservation, we need to wait 15 minutes to seat. The table was very bad located. A small room, crowded and ugly."

  • "AS usual the food was excellent and creative. Tables by the window yield a great view of the action on Hanover St."

  • "Food, drinks and service were excellent. Had a drink at the bar which was busy but drinks were service was prompt and made well. We got a window table as requested - better than we figured we would get given the busy atmosphere; Nick was thoughtful and attentive about what we were looking for in a seating and made it happen. Our server, Wolmar, also did a great job from recommendations for food to a new wine. He even went out his way during the busy times to give us the label from the bottle. Would definitely recommend Bricco's."

  • "I lived in the North End in my early 20's and couldn't afford to eat at Bricco, but heard how amazing it was. Finally made it down as an "adult" and now I know what everyone was talking about. The staff all look like models and they were so friendly. The waitress suggested the short ribs, which officially are the greatest short ribs I've ever eaten in my life. Will be back soon."

  • "Food was outstanding-we had filet and duck. Both were wonderful with tasty sides and perfectly cooked. Waiter was excellent and made great recommendations. A friend who lives in the neighborhood recommended it and we were glad we went. We sat upstairs, which was quiet. Downstairs was noisy and very crowded."

  • "The place is a generic watering hole, way too noisy and crowded. The food was OK (not exceptional) but I was looking for the magic of the Boston North End that transforms you to Italy (which I have experienced in smaller restaurants). We chose the North End for the atmosphere and ambiance but this restaurant did not deliver."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "The food was very good but it was way to crowded. Barely enough room to walk between the tables you could not have a conversation with out the next table hearing"

  • "My husband and I try a different restaurant every time we go to the North End and Bricco is by far the best we've had so far! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding."

  • "Went to celebrate my son's birthday. Everything was outstanding - the Osso Buco best anywhere in Boston. We loved sitting near the window and people watching on Hanover Street. Very loud and also expensive but wonderful and worth it!"
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "Everything we had from the chianti, oysters, pasta, fish, and Nutella martini were outstanding as well as wonderful service!"
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "A beautiful evening weather wise, had a seat by an open window. Food was outstanding from start to finish! Wait staff was attentive, but not over bearing. Loved every minute of the evening, can't wait to go back!"

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in the north end. The homemade pasta is delicious! It's my go-to for a night out with my hubby"

  • "Had a great time here the food was amazing and the service was above and beyond. A little pricey but definitely worth it great place to go for a date."

  • "My friends came down from vt and I suggested we go to Bricco as I had been to the restaurant on Thanksgiving and had a great meal and the ser vice was wonderful.. We will certainly be back again for another great meal as my friends were very impressed with the restaurant and said they would come again just to go to Bricco..."

  • "Our meal last week at Bricco was outstanding. A perfect way to celebrate the end of a family holiday. Food, wine and service. We cannot wait to go back!"

  • "If there is a better place in the North End, we haven't found it. Layered eggplant appetizer terrific. Whole Bronzino had presentation and taste to remember. Stuffed veal chop best anywhere. With a seat by the open windows on a beautiful Saturday evening, what could be better? Not much!"

  • "The ambience and service are terrific. We must have had an off night."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Bricco was absolutely fantastic! My fiancé and I are with three other people and we all loved our entrees. It was expensive, but the pasta is definitely worth it. None of us ordered a meat entree, however I'm sure they are delicious as well. The portions are not huge and resemble the amount you'd typically find in Italy. I loved my experience and would definitely return!"
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "Extensive menu - almost too hard to choose! Everything was prepared to perfection. Waitstaff recommendations are excellent. But the best - they make a gluten-free pasta fresh every day. It was exquisite!"

  • "After reading glowing reviews about this place, I can only wonder as a visitor to Boston, if this is what is considered good Italian food in the area? Any establishment can have an off night and maybe this was one of them, but while fine in every other aspect, the food we experienced at Bricco was simply not good. Salad that was leaves of various lettuces thrown in a bowl with a sprinkling of dressing, pasta that was both tasteless AND chewy (NOT al dente, chewy as in hasn't been fresh for a while), chicken that was beyond average. The saving grace of the entire meal was the French fries, which were amazing. The lack of pride in what is coming out of the kitchen here should be addressed. Won't be back/won't recommend."

  • "Our group of four had a delighful dinner. The food was delicious - from salads (caprese w/buffalo mozarella) to entrees, through desert (try the bread pudding!). The service was prompt and non-intrusive. Very efficient valet service for $20 right outside their front door. We even left our car there after dinner to attend a concert at the TD Garden - no probelm at all. Try Briccos, you will not be disappointed."

  • "Best Italian food I have eaten and the wine list unlimited. Service was impeccable and you felt like the table was yours for the evening. Would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the north end of Boston."
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • "Overall we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter suggested the table splitting one or two pasta dishes so we could all taste how good they were. We did that and it was well worth it. Steaks were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We had a later dinner, so it was noisy when we got there and quieter as the dinner crowd got smaller. We were seated upstairs, which was nice. The wine list had something for everyone. Our waiter helped us chose one that would complement our meals. I will head back to Bricco next time I'm in the North End!"

  • "Arrived on time for a 7:30 reservation, the place was packed, the host asked for my cell # to call when our table was ready "in a few minutes." So we walked, had an espresso, and returned 20 minutes later. Although I did not receive a call, our table was ready and he escorted us upstairs. We waited another 45 minutes for the appetizers to arrive, so you can imagine our mood at this point! Thankfully, the food was excellent. The bus boy/waiter overheard us complaining about the service, so they offered apologies and treated us to coffee and after dinner cordials."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Being seated upstairs, we lost some of the vitality of this place. Although the food and service was very good, something of the energy of the North End is lost in the starkness of the far upper room."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "I choose this restaurant based on the recommendation of the hotel, I did the reservation on line. We were happy when we saw the inside of the restaurant with all the street view. But our table was on the 2nd floor side to the lady's room with no windows ( only a couple of tables). Honestly I should have refused to sit there. This small room should not be used for guests. The delay in the service was so long between the appetizers and the entrées that we were not hungry anymore and left half of our plates. When we spend this kind of money in a restaurant, the ambiance and the time of service are very important."

  • "I've been promising to take my girlfriend out to the North End for months now. It's our anniversary, so I finnaly got my act together. I chose Bricco cause it looked like a central location for a lot of what the North End has to offer. But when we got there I was stunned by the ambience. It was lowlit, open to the outside and had a very intimate quality. My girlfriend and I got a great seat by the open store front, looking out onto the street. The service was responsive and quick, considering that it was a full house that night. The food was absolutely some of the best Italian food I've ever had. As expected, it is expensive. But I came in just under a hundred dollars, which I think is a great deal for a wonderful experience."

  • "Bricco was highly recommended from 3 different people so we had to try it-and we were not disappointed. Authentic Italian, very fresh and so delicious! Will definitely go back when we are in Boston again."

  • "I had made reservations for 2 for a special occasion. The reservation seating was upstairs in a separate room which was somewhat disappointing. Being from out of town I would have preferred seating on the main level to enjoy the full "vibe" of the restaurant and North End. Tables were a little close and when a large party was seated next to us the servers' butts brushed our table every time they served those sitting with their backs to our table. There was no room to move to avoid this. That said, the food was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and everything tasted fantastic. The best part was the banana bread pudding that may have been the best dessert I've ever had. I'd highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Everything our table of five had was amazing; from the fresh bread at the table to the coffee and dessert as well as everything in between. The pastas were so fresh and each dish was unique. Wonderful service and a great overall experience for family visiting Boston for the first time! We will definitely be back!"

  • "Overall Bricco is one of my favorite restaurants for a special night out. Every appetizer has been very good (especially the Carpaccio) and 3/4 of my dishes have been amazing. My only minor disappointment was on this last visit. I had the "Big Night Timpano" and compared to everything else I've tried found it more on the Chef Boyardee side of things. The tuna appetizer was also good but didn't knock my socks off like the Carpaccio or Polenta and its pricey for how much you get. My date's dish was fantastic and that was what really counted. White Sangria was also good. Try the wild boar or pancetta pastas and you won't be disappointed."
    Dined on 6/18/2014
  • "This is the best of the best Italian restaurant in the country. The wild boar pasta has no match!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Well this place lives up to its reputation (with the concierge at the W Hotel) - great food, reasonably priced wines, and superb service (by Brian). . . although it's located on a touristy street the place was filled with Bostonians, all having a great time. . .I had a special imported mozzarella from Italy and haddock; my party had wild boar with pasta and cheeze and spinach ravioli, and espresso and limoncella after - no room for dessert. If you think Italian food is the best cuisine in the world go to this restaurant and have your views confirmed; if you're a doubter go to be convinced. Five stars."

  • "a special friend from TX was in town and I wanted to take her to my favorite restaurant in the N End of course, Bricco. Bricco never ceases to please me; the dinner was wonderful my favorite still on the menu Big Night We had a very enjoyable evening great wine and excellent server."

  • "Food is excellent! However our service was poor and our waiter wasn't attentive. Also too crowded "

  • "I ate at Bricco's 3 years back & did not return after they sat me at 9:30 when I had a 8:00 Reservation. But I decided to try again this time they sat me on time but in a back room they looked like a walk in closet. I eat in the North End every Saturday night & one of the reasons in the summer is to enjoy eating in open rooms over looking the North End not in a room with no windows (walk in closet) they should close that room down. A party of 4 was seated & they left. I had reservations I should had descent seating, NOT HAPPY"

  • "Food, wine list, ambience are supported with great service... bon a petit."

  • "Crowded, but the good service and food made up for that! Not as much choice for pasta dishes as I expected---and one of the two that we got was not too special. The other was quite good, but way too much. Would help to have some half portions. Would return."
