A word from Bricco
Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Diner Reviews
  • "We have been here three times and really enjoyed the food, service and the overall experience. I loved the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta, polenta very good as well. My party really liked the drum shape pasta stuffed with ragu and cheese. I loved the Bricco's brodetto, mussels, clams and lobster in a flavorful cherry tomato broth. Good desserts. Nice service."

  • "We had a wonderful meal at Bricco. Both the food and service were very good. We were seated and served promptly. The octopus appetizer was fantastic. The osso buco was delicious. The taliatelle is another favorite. The bread pudding was the best dessert on the menu. This will remain on our list as a North End favorite."

  • "So many good things to say about this restaurant, but the RISOTTO was to die for! It was on special (sausage with creamy cheese). Oh wow - the best risotto ever and I've been to Italy dozens of times. The two of us shared the mussels appetizer, the shrimp appetizer and the RISOTTO! Great server and lots of great energy. I must visit in the North End!"

  • "I have been here twice and both times thoroughly enjoyed the food and overall experience. The pasta with boar is excellent as well as the pumpkin pasta. I like the fact that the menu isn't just the same Italian food found everywhere."

  • "We had dinner at Bricco this past Saturday. We arrived early and waited at the bar. The bar staff was very attentive and we had a quick glass of wine. The Hostess came by to make us aware of our available table as I had not realized Bricco had text my phone announcing the available table. We were seated on the second floor. The noise level was lively but I could still have a conversation. We ordered the pumpkin tortelli as a shared appetizer. The waiter had the pasta split onto 2 served plates as opposed to us making the split. This was a very nice touch. Both dinners was tremendous. I would go back in a heartbeat."

  • "Very enjoyable. Waitress (Gina) was awesome. Delicious food. Noise level was a little high, but we might have contributed to that!!"

  • "Well my daughter and I stopped in for Apps and some Wine prior to heading over to Logan Airport to pick up my wife. The Polenta and Caprese were excellent to say the least. The service was on par with dining at the Ritz. This place is well located on Hanover Street in the North End and steps away from Modern Pastry for those with a sweet tooth. I will definitely be back to try some of the main courses; if not for the airport run; we would have definitinely stayed for more. Mangia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "Went with a colleague to discuss business. Nearly lost my voice trying to be heard above the roar of the crowd. Had the octopus appetizer which was delicious and the osso bucco - also fantastic! Wine list was sufficient, if overpriced but that's to be expected. Server was attentive but not overbearing. Overall, great place for dinner if you don't need to have a serious conversation and want great food and good service in an enthusiastic North End neighborhood setting."

  • "This was our first time dining at Bricco. We asked for a quiet corner table and was glad we had requested this in advance since the lower level was very loud with the crowded bar in the same area as the dining room. We were seated upstairs. the table was small and difficult to get by the adjacent diners. This however, is not unusual for any restaurant in the North End. The service was very good as were our entrees. Appetizers were nicely presented and tasty as well. We would be very happy to dine there again."

  • "Stumbled into Bricco while staying at the Westin Copley (right across the street) Although the place was packed with people enjoying restaurant week on a fixed menu, we opted to venture out on our own and enjoyed two wonderful pasta dishes. Although this place is pricey, it's still an excellent option for good Italian food."

  • "Waitress was the low point of the experience. Seemed to not like kids. Offered a $42.00 filet to a ten year old."

  • "The noise level is beyond energetic. It's one thing to be that loud in the bar but in the dining room where most people hope to have a conversation, the noise level ruins the experience. The food is fine but given the noise and extremely cramped quarters, as well as the price, it's not really worth a repeat visit."

  • "We were greeted by Valet people who said we would have to drive around the corner because police weren't letting cars line up in front of restaurant. We ended up parking about a mile from the restaurant. We chose this place because of the valet parking. Also, we had to wiat nearly twenty mintues after our reservation time."

  • "My gf and I chose Bricco for a Dine Out Boston, since Mare was completely booked. For a mere $33, we ate until our fill. Although the servings weren't very big, they were delicious and rich in flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody and especially recommend the truffle risotto."

  • "Great place. The food was dreamy good. The service was very good. Only slight complaint is how crowded it is but that is a function of its popularity."

  • "Well worth a visit. My boyfriend and i dined here on a recent Friday night during restaurant week. We had the beef carpaccio and eggplant for appetizers and both were excellent. We also had the canneloni and tenderloin for entrees. The tenderloin was delicious but the sides were nothing to write home about. The canneloni was good. The bread pudding, tiramisu and coffee for dessert were a delicious finale to a great evening. Our server was very pleasant, prompt and professional."

  • "We went to Bricco many years ago and loved it, then went Monday evening and found it to be just OK. The mussel appetizer was tasty with small mussels and a mild broth. I had Chitarrine, pasta with seafood; pasta was al dente and seafood was decent but not as plentiful and tasty as hoped. My wife had tenderloin which was a bit tough, and the bread pudding was average, at best. We don't plan to retun after this mediocre meal."

  • "My boyfriend and I really enjoying dining in the North End as it has so many great places to offer. We cannot afford to go as often so when we do we make sure we pick the right spot! This restaurant was recommended to us by a number of frequent patrons of Bricco. We were not disappointed. The drinks were great the food was good and the desert even better! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, although the tables were a bit close together. We too will recommend this restaurant to friends"

  • "We dine at all of Boston's top restaurants, but no one delivers as consistently as Bricco. From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed and pampered. The food was excellent, the wine list diverse, and the service the envy of Hanover Street."

  • "Octopus appetizer was delicious. Everything else was mediocre and served room temp. Food was uninspired and disappointing and did not love up to the descriptions on the menu. I do hear the pizzas- served after 11pm- are delicious. Waited 35 minutes for valet to get my car. I really wanted to like this place but I would not go back- if I did it would be for the pizza which is only served after 11."

  • "Bricco was a great place to celebrate restaurant week. Food was excellent. And when the waiter spilled some water on my date's sleeve - the mgr sent over free glasses of champagne!! Classy place!!"

  • "Fabulous food. The restaurant looks small from the outside and the first floor but has three rooms hidden upstairs. Tables were tightly packed near each other but it added to the romantic charm. Menu was expensive but we went for Restaurant Week and it was a great deal."

  • "The place to go for an outstanding dining experience. Not your average restaurant. Outstanding menu and food along with world class service In a league of its own"

  • "I had heard nothing but great things about Bricco from the moment I relocated to Boston. I finally was able to make it happen during restaurant week. I couldn't have been happier to enjoy such an outstanding, high-class meal at such an affordable price. The cost of the entire three-course meal was equal or less than every single entrée at normal price. Talk about a deal! The only gripe I have is that our Valet service was awful. Typically I don't do Valet, but I (along with others) waited over 45 minutes for our car at the end of the meal. Bricco outsources their Valet so it isn't an indictment on them, but definitely should be addressed. Thanks for a great night Bricco!"

  • "We ordered the gnocchi and special risotto and they were both out of this world fantastic. The pasta is house-made and was so fresh with their home made tomato sauce. The risotto of the day was a truffled mushroom. So so good. They also bring roasted garlic and olive oil with the bread basket and it was so delicious we had to ask them to take away the bread basket so we didn't spoil out appetites!"

  • "I Took my boyfriend here for his birthday/restaurant week. The food and drinks were awesome (trust me we're pretty picky)we loved every bite. Great waitress, very friendly and helpful. If you like espresso martinis, this is the place to get one!"

  • "Bricco was so good we went two nights in-a-row. Both nights were ordered many different apps so we ended up with a tasting menu with 7 courses and the bill was very reasonable. The food was creative and wonderfully prepared. The service was attentive and timely."

  • "This restaurant is excellent. I go there 4 times a year and i come from Montreal, Canada. I really recommend it!! Can't wait to go back. First night is always at Bricco and second night always at Mare! Thanks to the owner:)"

  • "I was celebrating my 5th wedding anniversary, so we decided to check this place out. Hoping that it would be a memorable place. We enjoyed our (food) dinner but was not convinced to go back so fast. I had reservations for 8pm but due to the bustling of a busy Saturday night were not seated till 8:25pm, the waiter that we had was nice but didn't have a very warm personality. My sangria was a little warm, but with the amount of ice I had in my glass it finally chilled. I can't rave about this place for a dinner totalling @$237. There was nothing about the restaurant that made my anniversary more special besides my husband being there. The only person that seemed friendly was the hostess (gentlemen )."

  • "The food was fabulous but our server did not pay attention to us at all. He told the tables around us the specials but did not even mention them to us. He never checked on us or even asked us if we wanted anything to drink besides water. It felt very disrespectful and ruined an otherwise great evening."

  • "My husband discovered the brick chicken in earlier visits. We were all astounded to find every interesting thing on the menu (salmon carpaccio!) superb. The staff was a nice as they could be. The adjacent, new retail store had just closed and they reopened it so we could get provisions for the following night's dinner. Cocktails were also great and the ambiance is sleek and warm."
