A word from Bricco
Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Diner Reviews
  • "We had a party of 9 and everyone was very happy with their food. Service was a bit slow as they had many large groups and it was completely full, and this was a Monday night. The restaurant was very loud which made conversation with the other half of our table difficult, but definitely would go back!"

  • "One of the best meals I ever had. Just a great place with OUTSTANDING food and great service. Will definitely go back.."

  • "We loved our second floor perch by the window overlooking the North End bustle (and a beautiful tree). And, as always, enjoyed zucchini blossoms and great tomato/burrata salad. The bread is wonderful and the accompanying oil, garlic, hummus is terrific. Prices are overly high, to be honest, for what you get. A reasonably priced wine option (by bottle and glass) is recommended. But we always enjoy the food and ambience."

  • "Excellent in all respects. Pappardelle with boar was great. Stuffed zucchini blossoms a treat too. Service was attentive on a busy Thursday night."

  • "Food Great, Atmosphere Awesome and the Waiter (italian Gentelman)"

  • "I should know better than to go to a "touristy" spot, but the reviews encouraged me. The highlight of the meal was the stuffed zucchini blossom which was really special - tasted like it had a trace of truffle oil - and was superior to others we've had. However, the rest of the meal was not. Three of us ordered pasta (which is why we went) and the pappardelle was the best - good, but not great. The gnocchetti was bland. I ordered a special of lobster with far diavolo pasta - the lobster was halved, but not cracked and trying to crack it when it was bathed in a slippery sauce was very messy and frustrating. The lobster was cooked, but somehow limp. Will be more discerning the next time we venture to the North End. VERY loud."

  • "We went to Bricco for our anniversary dinner early on a Sunday night (6pm) hoping it would be on the quieter side only to realize that there was a massive feast happening that night and so the place was packed and very noisy. The host staff was very professional, our waiter was outstanding, and the food was out of this world (cannot say enough good things about ricotta pillows in truffle oil). However, we had requested a table that was more private but were seated in between a loud party of four and party of two. The tables are VERY close together and so I would not recommend Bricco for any type of romantic outing. There was a two-top in the corner available when we were seated so don't understand why we weren't given that one."

  • "There were 4 of us and we had 2 orders of the fried zucchini flowers to share as appetizers. They were a big hit. My wife had the pumpkin tortelli and was not disappointed. I had the Ahi Tuna which was cooked perfectly and with a beautiful presentation. Only complaint and the table and it was a mild one was a salmon dish with a sugary glaze, but our friend took the blame for not paying enough attention to the description of the preparation. He does not like sweet, sugary glazes. The service was outstanding and a wine list to go with it. This was my 3rd visit and it is one of the must "go to places" whenever I find my self in Boston."

  • "Everything here was outstanding from A to Z. No stone was left unturned, as Glenn the bartender and Nick the General Manager know how to impress guests. Food, drinks and service were the overall very best we've had in the North End and we've eaten at "several". We will definitely be back and will also tell friends this is a must visit! Great job to the owner and staff here, what an experience....:)"

  • "This was my third visit to Bricco. Unlike before, when we were seated on the second floor, this time we got a small table for two on the first floor right next to the bar, where the noise level was extremely high. Also, the neighbor table was so close that I had the impression we were sitting at the same table with the neighbor couple. There was little to no privacy and due to the noise level, it was difficult to have a conversation. The food (Agnollotti al Plin) was okay, certainly nothing outstanding and from my perspective over-prized for the quality. I will not return to the restaurant - at least not for a while."

  • "We arrived at the restaurant around 4:30 and got a seat at the window. It was a great opportunity to people watch on Hanover Street. My date had a basil and Hendricks Gin martini and I had an Aperol Spritz. Both were delicious. We chose 3 appetizers and all were outstanding with our favorite being the fried squash blossoms which were stuffed with truffled riccotta. a great North End experience!"

  • "We were sat immediately. Restaurant was packed, but our requested window table was waiting for us. Attentive staff, never needed to ask for anything. Excellent wine list. Food was delicious. From beginning to end. Would highly recommend and will return."

  • "My husband and I found the restaurant to be a very delightful dinner. Our waiter was really friendly and nice. We were taking care of immediately and the food was outstanding. The people who work there couldn't be more nicer. I would definately go back and recommend it to family and friends."

  • "Four meals , all different, all excellent. Wish we could have tried more of the specials and menu items. Portion sizes reasonable, enough but not too much. Pasta al dente. Service professional but pleasant."

  • "Can't imagine a better North End dining spot. Enjoyed the street view from the open window upstairs. Rack of Lamb superb. Bronzino to die for. Tuna tartare special was refreshing, not too tart. Chocolate lava cake desert was perfect ending. NIck and his staff make everyone feel special. Maybe that's why everyone seems like a regular here, even the tourists. Will be back and back and back."

  • "My wife and I had a rare night at a hotel in Cambridge and chose the North End for its variety of great restaurant choices. We had not visited the neighborhood in several years, so we thought it was time. Bricco stood out for its menu, and the fact that a 1000 point table was available when we were (though for some fascist reason, we only received 100 points on the Open Table mobile app, not sure why). No matter the points, our experience was amazing! We started with a just right Insalate Mista, a nice portion to share with delicious peach flavors. My wife loved the Papparadelle al Cinghiale, which was hearty and very tasty. For me, the whole roasted Branzino was a work of art, absolutely delicious. The cannoli were excellent as well!"

  • "Nice evening out and great food and wine. The noise level was loud and it was hard to talk over the noise, but what can one expect at a crowded restaurant with open doors to the street. We had a great time. Thanks"

  • "I enjoyed dinner on a Saturday night with a group of childhood friends, and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the red sangria was delicious. Highly recommended!"

  • "This is one of the "classiest" north end restaurants. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding - I had the seafood stew medley and my wife had the salmon - we both enjoyed immensely. Waitress and hostess were both very personable and accommodating. Atmosphere a little noisy but that is what the north end is all about. You can dress up or dress down to come here. Great for special occasions as well. We will be back!"

  • "Coming from New York whet great restaurants are easy fo find this stands out! Our server Casey was not only terrific she knew the exact food preparation like she cooked it...very impressive. Even more impressive was the food, the SAUTÉD OCTOPUS is not to be missed, the ROCOTTA PUFFS were not what I expected but none the less a very pleasant surprise and the SEARED AHI TUNA for an Italian restaurant was off the charts!! We were in Boston for a company conference and only had one night free, we certainly chose the best restaurant there. Will definitely return."

  • "Great food and service. We sat upstairs by a window and had a wonderful view of Hanover street. However dinner conversation was difficult because even upstairs, away from the downstairs bar, it was noisy."

  • "We found Bricco on Yelp and by googling "best Italian food in Boston." The recommendation was spot on. It was a terrific place with fabulous food and wine. We had appetizers, a main course, and dessert; all courses were attractively plated and tasted terrific. Our waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations. I would definitely recommend Bricco. We were from California and enjoyed every minute of our meal."

  • "The 1st time was great, but if this was my 1st time, I probably wouldn't go back. Even arriving in time for my reservation, we need to wait 15 minutes to seat. The table was very bad located. A small room, crowded and ugly."

  • "AS usual the food was excellent and creative. Tables by the window yield a great view of the action on Hanover St."

  • "Food, drinks and service were excellent. Had a drink at the bar which was busy but drinks were service was prompt and made well. We got a window table as requested - better than we figured we would get given the busy atmosphere; Nick was thoughtful and attentive about what we were looking for in a seating and made it happen. Our server, Wolmar, also did a great job from recommendations for food to a new wine. He even went out his way during the busy times to give us the label from the bottle. Would definitely recommend Bricco's."

  • "I lived in the North End in my early 20's and couldn't afford to eat at Bricco, but heard how amazing it was. Finally made it down as an "adult" and now I know what everyone was talking about. The staff all look like models and they were so friendly. The waitress suggested the short ribs, which officially are the greatest short ribs I've ever eaten in my life. Will be back soon."

  • "Food was outstanding-we had filet and duck. Both were wonderful with tasty sides and perfectly cooked. Waiter was excellent and made great recommendations. A friend who lives in the neighborhood recommended it and we were glad we went. We sat upstairs, which was quiet. Downstairs was noisy and very crowded."

  • "The place is a generic watering hole, way too noisy and crowded. The food was OK (not exceptional) but I was looking for the magic of the Boston North End that transforms you to Italy (which I have experienced in smaller restaurants). We chose the North End for the atmosphere and ambiance but this restaurant did not deliver."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "The food was very good but it was way to crowded. Barely enough room to walk between the tables you could not have a conversation with out the next table hearing"

  • "My husband and I try a different restaurant every time we go to the North End and Bricco is by far the best we've had so far! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding."

  • "Went to celebrate my son's birthday. Everything was outstanding - the Osso Buco best anywhere in Boston. We loved sitting near the window and people watching on Hanover Street. Very loud and also expensive but wonderful and worth it!"
