A word from Bricco
Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Wanted to add 1 person to our party of 6 for dinner. Our table included booth type seating and we were more than happy to squeeze in but the person seating us and the person on the phone that I spoke with an hour before our reservation absolutely refused saying it would infringe on the other diners. Certainly did not want to please the customer and get more business. Very disappointing......

Zucchini flowers were so average. The food was delicious, although I felt the risotto was on the cheesy side even for an Italian restaurant. The wine selection was lovely and I recommend their coffee - it comes with a little piece of biscotti. The brew was delicious, the perfect roast. We were seated upstairs next to the cash register but didn't feel disruptive even though they servers dropped dishes twice while we were there - guess it was a very busy night!

A small but terrific place in Boston's Northend. Nice broad selection of dishes. We chose to split appetizer, main course and dessert and had plenty to eat. Presentations for all dishes were lovely. Reasonably priced. As is typical of city restaurants, tables are packed in pretty tight but not a big issue.

After coming to Bricco back in June and having an absolutely amazing experience, we've come back many times and it's actually become one of our favorite restaurants in Boston. When my brother and sister-in-law came in town it was the first place we thought of to take them. However, we were quite disappointed by our service. Cesare D. Had little interest in our table from the get-go, and didn't check in but once during the whole meal. While the other wait staff did a great job of filling drinks and checking in, Cesare was nowhere to be found. All-in-all, our most recent experience is not what we expected from Bricco, and we were very disappointed given our love of the restaurant, food and the previous service we've received.

We dined at Bricco at 8:45 on a Saturday night. After a rough start to the evening where we were seated about 2ft from a bathroom door on the second floor, things quickly turned around as we were moved to the main floor and a better table with a view of the kitchen. Greatly appreciated the management for accommodating the request. The service was prompt and efficient though our server wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. We had the zucchini flowers to start. They were excellent, though the ricotta filling was a little too salty. Our mains were the wild boar pappardelle which was unbelievable, and the tuna which was delicious and had the perfect couscous side. Overall it was a delicious meal and the restaurant had a great energy.

Food not bad - but VERY expensive. Wine list prices were extremely inflated. Had prosicutto w figs - figs weren't ripe, and the ham was cut way too thick. Duck and pasta slightly overcooked. Not a terrible meal but these are $30+ entrees. Were at least 3 entrees that our waiter steered us away from. When your menu is worn and stained, it generally means that things have slipped. At Bricco they have. MANY other options in the No End for this kind of place.

had a reservation, arrived on time and was shown to a tiny table for two in the center of the room on the right side of the restaurant which is set up with close tables, noisy, like a cafeteria. yuck! I asked to sit on the left side of the establishment, which is much smaller and more intimate, absolutely lovely and was delighted with a table in front of the open window. sooo much better! drinks were a special request, executed well. we had figs stuffed with cheese...delicious! pumpkin tortellini with sautéed vegs, delicious. lobster diabulo and duck dish. it was all great and our waiter was terrific. I would return but don't want to sit in the larger room , too close to other diners.

First and foremost the meals were outstanding. The menu has not only reliable standbys but also an array of interesting dishes. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass special which was marvelous. I had the Banzini which we both agreed was the better of the two. Bricco is certainly pricey (although the very good-sounding pasta dishes were very reasonable) but worth it. Unfortunately I do not remember the waiter's name but the service was excellent. I only didn't rank it 5-star because I felt that the meal was a bit rushed (and I am not a go-slow diner). I would definitely recommend the upstairs as it is significantly less noisy than the first floor.

Wonderful, delightful. Our table by the open window to the bustling North End street was perfect, as was the terrific service. And we enjoyed every bite. Although tasty, the starters are pricey--it can put you off getting them which is sad. Our favorite is the squash blossoms, but the mussels and figs are also great (wish there were more figs on the plate!). And the bread and dish with olive oil, garlic and hummus is terrific. We'll be back!

As usual food was great, service exceptional but the tables are too close together and this time, screaming infants (2) were seated right next to us. We insisted and were moved upstairs but Bricco needs to remove 1 table from each row and designate a few tables near the bar or in a corner for those inconsiderate parents who bring an infant on Friday night. The manager was quick to move us but all the others were left to suffer and this $$$$ restaurant needs to do the right thing to spread out the diners and isolate families with infants.

We loved our second floor perch by the window overlooking the North End bustle (and a beautiful tree). And, as always, enjoyed zucchini blossoms and great tomato/burrata salad. The bread is wonderful and the accompanying oil, garlic, hummus is terrific. Prices are overly high, to be honest, for what you get. A reasonably priced wine option (by bottle and glass) is recommended. But we always enjoy the food and ambience.

I should know better than to go to a "touristy" spot, but the reviews encouraged me. The highlight of the meal was the stuffed zucchini blossom which was really special - tasted like it had a trace of truffle oil - and was superior to others we've had. However, the rest of the meal was not. Three of us ordered pasta (which is why we went) and the pappardelle was the best - good, but not great. The gnocchetti was bland. I ordered a special of lobster with far diavolo pasta - the lobster was halved, but not cracked and trying to crack it when it was bathed in a slippery sauce was very messy and frustrating. The lobster was cooked, but somehow limp. Will be more discerning the next time we venture to the North End. VERY loud.

We went to Bricco for our anniversary dinner early on a Sunday night (6pm) hoping it would be on the quieter side only to realize that there was a massive feast happening that night and so the place was packed and very noisy. The host staff was very professional, our waiter was outstanding, and the food was out of this world (cannot say enough good things about ricotta pillows in truffle oil). However, we had requested a table that was more private but were seated in between a loud party of four and party of two. The tables are VERY close together and so I would not recommend Bricco for any type of romantic outing. There was a two-top in the corner available when we were seated so don't understand why we weren't given that one.

There were 4 of us and we had 2 orders of the fried zucchini flowers to share as appetizers. They were a big hit. My wife had the pumpkin tortelli and was not disappointed. I had the Ahi Tuna which was cooked perfectly and with a beautiful presentation. Only complaint and the table and it was a mild one was a salmon dish with a sugary glaze, but our friend took the blame for not paying enough attention to the description of the preparation. He does not like sweet, sugary glazes. The service was outstanding and a wine list to go with it. This was my 3rd visit and it is one of the must "go to places" whenever I find my self in Boston.

This was my third visit to Bricco. Unlike before, when we were seated on the second floor, this time we got a small table for two on the first floor right next to the bar, where the noise level was extremely high. Also, the neighbor table was so close that I had the impression we were sitting at the same table with the neighbor couple. There was little to no privacy and due to the noise level, it was difficult to have a conversation. The food (Agnollotti al Plin) was okay, certainly nothing outstanding and from my perspective over-prized for the quality. I will not return to the restaurant - at least not for a while.
