A word from Bricco
Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with a full dinner menu.
Open 7 days a week 11:oopm – 2:00 a.m.

Diner Reviews
  • "This is my favorite restaurant in the north end. The homemade pasta is delicious! It's my go-to for a night out with my hubby"

  • "My friends came down from vt and I suggested we go to Bricco as I had been to the restaurant on Thanksgiving and had a great meal and the ser vice was wonderful.. We will certainly be back again for another great meal as my friends were very impressed with the restaurant and said they would come again just to go to Bricco..."

  • "The ambience and service are terrific. We must have had an off night."

  • "Extensive menu - almost too hard to choose! Everything was prepared to perfection. Waitstaff recommendations are excellent. But the best - they make a gluten-free pasta fresh every day. It was exquisite!"

  • "If there is a better place in the North End, we haven't found it. Layered eggplant appetizer terrific. Whole Bronzino had presentation and taste to remember. Stuffed veal chop best anywhere. With a seat by the open windows on a beautiful Saturday evening, what could be better? Not much!"

  • "Our meal last week at Bricco was outstanding. A perfect way to celebrate the end of a family holiday. Food, wine and service. We cannot wait to go back!"

  • "Bricco was absolutely fantastic! My fiancé and I are with three other people and we all loved our entrees. It was expensive, but the pasta is definitely worth it. None of us ordered a meat entree, however I'm sure they are delicious as well. The portions are not huge and resemble the amount you'd typically find in Italy. I loved my experience and would definitely return!"

  • "After reading glowing reviews about this place, I can only wonder as a visitor to Boston, if this is what is considered good Italian food in the area? Any establishment can have an off night and maybe this was one of them, but while fine in every other aspect, the food we experienced at Bricco was simply not good. Salad that was leaves of various lettuces thrown in a bowl with a sprinkling of dressing, pasta that was both tasteless AND chewy (NOT al dente, chewy as in hasn't been fresh for a while), chicken that was beyond average. The saving grace of the entire meal was the French fries, which were amazing. The lack of pride in what is coming out of the kitchen here should be addressed. Won't be back/won't recommend."

  • "Our group of four had a delighful dinner. The food was delicious - from salads (caprese w/buffalo mozarella) to entrees, through desert (try the bread pudding!). The service was prompt and non-intrusive. Very efficient valet service for $20 right outside their front door. We even left our car there after dinner to attend a concert at the TD Garden - no probelm at all. Try Briccos, you will not be disappointed."

  • "Best Italian food I have eaten and the wine list unlimited. Service was impeccable and you felt like the table was yours for the evening. Would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the north end of Boston."

  • "Being seated upstairs, we lost some of the vitality of this place. Although the food and service was very good, something of the energy of the North End is lost in the starkness of the far upper room."

  • "I choose this restaurant based on the recommendation of the hotel, I did the reservation on line. We were happy when we saw the inside of the restaurant with all the street view. But our table was on the 2nd floor side to the lady's room with no windows ( only a couple of tables). Honestly I should have refused to sit there. This small room should not be used for guests. The delay in the service was so long between the appetizers and the entrées that we were not hungry anymore and left half of our plates. When we spend this kind of money in a restaurant, the ambiance and the time of service are very important."

  • "I've been promising to take my girlfriend out to the North End for months now. It's our anniversary, so I finnaly got my act together. I chose Bricco cause it looked like a central location for a lot of what the North End has to offer. But when we got there I was stunned by the ambience. It was lowlit, open to the outside and had a very intimate quality. My girlfriend and I got a great seat by the open store front, looking out onto the street. The service was responsive and quick, considering that it was a full house that night. The food was absolutely some of the best Italian food I've ever had. As expected, it is expensive. But I came in just under a hundred dollars, which I think is a great deal for a wonderful experience."

  • "Bricco was highly recommended from 3 different people so we had to try it-and we were not disappointed. Authentic Italian, very fresh and so delicious! Will definitely go back when we are in Boston again."

  • "I had made reservations for 2 for a special occasion. The reservation seating was upstairs in a separate room which was somewhat disappointing. Being from out of town I would have preferred seating on the main level to enjoy the full "vibe" of the restaurant and North End. Tables were a little close and when a large party was seated next to us the servers' butts brushed our table every time they served those sitting with their backs to our table. There was no room to move to avoid this. That said, the food was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and everything tasted fantastic. The best part was the banana bread pudding that may have been the best dessert I've ever had. I'd highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Everything our table of five had was amazing; from the fresh bread at the table to the coffee and dessert as well as everything in between. The pastas were so fresh and each dish was unique. Wonderful service and a great overall experience for family visiting Boston for the first time! We will definitely be back!"

  • "Overall Bricco is one of my favorite restaurants for a special night out. Every appetizer has been very good (especially the Carpaccio) and 3/4 of my dishes have been amazing. My only minor disappointment was on this last visit. I had the "Big Night Timpano" and compared to everything else I've tried found it more on the Chef Boyardee side of things. The tuna appetizer was also good but didn't knock my socks off like the Carpaccio or Polenta and its pricey for how much you get. My date's dish was fantastic and that was what really counted. White Sangria was also good. Try the wild boar or pancetta pastas and you won't be disappointed."
    Dined on 6/18/2014
  • "This is the best of the best Italian restaurant in the country. The wild boar pasta has no match!"

  • "Well this place lives up to its reputation (with the concierge at the W Hotel) - great food, reasonably priced wines, and superb service (by Brian). . . although it's located on a touristy street the place was filled with Bostonians, all having a great time. . .I had a special imported mozzarella from Italy and haddock; my party had wild boar with pasta and cheeze and spinach ravioli, and espresso and limoncella after - no room for dessert. If you think Italian food is the best cuisine in the world go to this restaurant and have your views confirmed; if you're a doubter go to be convinced. Five stars."

  • "a special friend from TX was in town and I wanted to take her to my favorite restaurant in the N End of course, Bricco. Bricco never ceases to please me; the dinner was wonderful my favorite still on the menu Big Night We had a very enjoyable evening great wine and excellent server."

  • "Food, wine list, ambience are supported with great service... bon a petit."

  • "I get that restaurants, stores, hotels, etc. do not have a lot of space in old cities like Boston, but we were practically sitting with the annoying four-some next to us. While dinner was delicious (get the octopus and boar pasta), the ambiance is severely lacking and it is very noisy. Not to mention that we were seated next to a second story window, which would have been perfect if we could've see the view, but the booth against the windows is curved upward on one side (the side we were on) and blocks more than half the window."

  • "I ate at Bricco's 3 years back & did not return after they sat me at 9:30 when I had a 8:00 Reservation. But I decided to try again this time they sat me on time but in a back room they looked like a walk in closet. I eat in the North End every Saturday night & one of the reasons in the summer is to enjoy eating in open rooms over looking the North End not in a room with no windows (walk in closet) they should close that room down. A party of 4 was seated & they left. I had reservations I should had descent seating, NOT HAPPY"

  • "Crowded, but the good service and food made up for that! Not as much choice for pasta dishes as I expected---and one of the two that we got was not too special. The other was quite good, but way too much. Would help to have some half portions. Would return."

  • "Food is excellent! However our service was poor and our waiter wasn't attentive. Also too crowded "

  • "One of the best restaurants on Boston, certainly one of my favorite places to eat. Brilliantly executed Italian in an intimate but lively space."

  • "We were lucky enough to get a table by the open windows. Great people watching and so comfortable weather wise. We had a waiter who had a lot of experience but not stuffy. The food was fabulous! I had the swordfish and I'm still dreaming about it. They are known for their pasta and they did not disappoint. It's a keeper. "

  • "We went with another couple. We had reservations and we're seated within 5 mins. We also valeted our car :-) the waiter was very nice and did not rush us at all. The wine menu was great as was the food menu. We had a variety of dishes appetizers, dinner and dessert. Will definitely be going back. Great night :-)"

  • "We brought Mom out for a delayed Mother's Day dinner, she had never been to Bricco. We had a great table of the 2nd floor overlooking busy Hanover St. Our waiter was great and the food was delicious as always."

  • "Not big drinkers, our group had appetizers and dinner and we were very impressed. We were there very early evening and had the luck to sit upstairs by the open window on a gorgeous spring day. We tried 3 different appetizers: the tuna, the beef carpaccio, and the frittura mista and all were wonderful. Our party of 5 each ordered different dinner items and had a chance to taste them all: the salmon, the big night timpano, the pappardelle al cinghiale, the shrimp and zucchini al limone and a seafood filled ravioli special. All were outstanding"

  • "Exquisite food. Very tasty and 'perfumy'. Our host, Brian, helped us all the way to match the different wines to taste with the various plates. A crowded loud place but it's part of the atmosphere."

  • "Recommended by our cousin who is a regular and we weren't disappointed. Our waiter was super nice to our precocious 8 year old and made her ravioli just how she liked with oil and butter. Also brought the truffle ravioli to try and my wife and I thought it was amazing even though our daughter didn't like it. Also had gnocchi, 10 oz filet, and Mediterranean sea bass and all were outstanding. The place is small so make reservations. The window/doors next to street side tables are open on nice days and we had a view of a very energetic Hanover st. Not too noisy but don't expect low noise levels. Would go back in a heartbeat. "

  • "My family and I were visiting from California and needed a reservation for Mother's Day brunch/lunch and decided on Bricco and had a fantastic time! The service, food, and ambiance was so great! I shared the brick chicken and the pappardelle and both were delicious, especially the pappardelle. Someone at the table ordered the rack of lamb which was outstanding and the other dish that was exceptional was the fried zucchini blossoms. YUMMY! Loved this restaurant and will definitely be back the next time I am in Boston!"

  • "Last minute idea was to go to Bricco for Mother's Day. Reserved a table the night before and it was ready right when we arrived. The fresh air from the ceiling to floor open walls across the front of the restaurant was amazing. Excellent recommendations from our waiter on food and drink. Upon his suggestion we got the wild boar pasta and sausage risotto. Both were fresh and flavorful. The Seven Spice Murray Chicken was cooked perfectly and the Tomahawk Braised Short Ribs melted in your mouth (and they were boneless). The valet parking made it a stress free night. Will definitely return soon."

  • "The whole experience was ruined as son as the waitress (who had a terrible attitude) greeted our table. The restaurant was not busy I was with my sister and aunt we ordered cocktails and asked if we could order an appetizer while we had our cocktail and think about what we wanted for dinner. She proceeded to adimently tell us "no" and then go on to say they were very busy and had over 200 diners and we must order everything at that time. It was 4 pm and there were several empty tables and both bars were empty. Her attitude was so unpleasant we paid for our drinks and went elsewhere for a relaxing dinner. "

  • "The food didn't match well with the service. They went above and beyond when it comes to servicing....which I usually like but I think it was a bit too much. I eat slow and enjoy taking time to indulge in every bite. I dine like a European and since I was in little Italy I thought this restaurant would accommodate my euro like dinning needs. Ehhh I had apps, dinner, wine in under 1 hour!! I felt rushed with no time to enjoy anything. And the meal was very blah. I had sea bass and veggies...no real taste except for garlic... I am not a fan."

  • "This place is nice. Windows open to the street. Boisterous tables enjoyable atmosphere. Not quietly romantic but it's a vibrant to loud place. Possibly owing to the good wines etc. Dinner was large and traditional. The fish special adroitly prepared. I'd go again but I'd bring four couples! "

  • "At Bricco, the food and service are consistently excellent. Bricco accommodated the special requests that I included in the Notes of the Open Table reservation which just in another example if Bricco's attention to detail."
