Food was outstanding but had to
ask for the waiters attention about 5-6 times,"

Good to have a quiet restaurant at
the northern edge of the theatre district where there are few others. Brick oven a plus"

Had an opentable reservation for
9. Called and had the reservation moved to 9:30 without issue. The place was a romantic, quaint, romantic and authentic atmosphere. My date and I tried to order simple italian dishes off menu and were pleasantly surprised when they were more than happy to accommodate us. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. We paid $150 with a 30% gratuity for a bottle of red, appetizer salads, a pasta and chicken dish, espresso and the flan for dessert. All i can say is, please don't tell my grandmother, because she would be jealous with how amazing I describe the flavor and presentation of the food. Serious, i don't want to be hit with a wooden spoon."

The food at Bricco was mediocre at
best. Nothing horrible, but nothing special either. The appetizers were good with the specials, including broiled octopus being very good. The main dishes were very ok with not a lot of distinct flavors that make you want to say this food is delicious. The desserts were $10 each and TASTELESS!! Most of the wait staff did not speak or understand English."

Gem of a place with outstanding
food attentive staff and overall great service!! everyone GO!!! MANGIA!!"

On Saturday night, a group of 8
welcomed home a Marine from Afghanistan. The entire staff of this restaurant made the occasion a celebration. The food was incredible, as many other reviews suggest, but more importantly, the service was remarkable. Each employee went out of his way to treat us incredibly well. All of us loved our dining experience and will definitely come back. Thank you, Bricco!"

At an early pre-theater dinner we
had good Italian food and wine that was modestly priced and professionally served. Pear, arugula, endive salad and a salmon & asparagus risotto were especial favorites. We got into conversation with an adjacent couple for whom it was their neighborhood favorite on frequent stays in the city. By chance, we were also there the following night for a post-Carnegie Hall Concert private celebration where dinner was expertly catered to 35 people in an upstairs room, without sacrifice of food quality."

I had a business lunch here for 6
people. The food was good and the waitstaff was very nice. However, the space was a bit tight for the waiters to reach everyone. One of the guests was bumped and foreced to move his chair in several times. Other than that, it was a very nice experience. They always have delicious specials and I highly recommend trying one if it strikes your fancy."

The place was closed and still on
the site. Poor follow up on their clients, not up to date web site. Use Urban spoon for reservations. Thanks Jeff"

I discovered Bricco and was
pleased at the discovery. A place to come to before Caqrnegie Hall, or to just get away for a night for a most pleasing dining experience The food is extremely satisfying from the Antipasto to the Dolci. You will not be disappointed, The Veal is a better selection than the Snapper as it is more satisfying overall. The wine list does need some rounding out, but it is fair. You cannot go wrong here with the service or food or the overall ambience."
Dined on 3/2/2014
This was our first time here and
the service was fantastic. We were greeted by multiple staff at the door who chatted with us as we were seated. The brick oven was right in front of us and we were able to watch the pizzas being made from start to finish. Multiple waitstaff were around to make sure that no water glass was ever half-full. The wine list was extensive, with great choices, and was very reasonably priced. In fact, for the experience and service, this restaurant is very affordable and worth a visit."

This is a pleasing, reliable,
neighborhood place - moderately priced, so an easy choice in the Columbus Circle area. Appetizers are ordinary, but pizzas and entrees are great, also nice well-priced wines. At lunchtime it's quiet and you really feel the old-world charm of the place. On weekend nights the crowd picks up and the kitchen can be painfully slow (for our most recent dinner our entrees arrived an hour after we ordered). Servers are attentive but the kitchen clearly holds them up. Weeknights might be better."

We have two favorite restaurants
in Manhattan: one in the Theatre District, one in Greenwich Village. Bricco is our uptown favorite. Perfect for dinner prior to any of the theatrical experiences within blocks around. Actually perfect just for the dining experience. The menu is extensive and wonderful. We love the veal ragout pasta and any of the fish specials, but there is not a loser on the menu. The wine list is a perfect selection of varietals and price ranges. We are wine lovers, nonetheless really enjoy the house chardonnay, which is quite reasonably priced and much better than other house wines we've had. Highly recommended."

As I have said before, I have
always had terrific meals at Bricco, and the prices are pretty good. One thing to watch out for regarding the prices: the specials do tend to be pricey, especially the special pastas. Ask your waiter for the price of the specials before you order, or you will be in for a surprise. Otherwise, I highly recommend Bricco. And the noise level is never high."
Dined on 2/11/2014
Bricco never fails. The atmosphere
is lovely and welcoming, the wait staff charming and competent, the food excellent and the prices reasonable. Has a special feeling, nice for birthdays etc. highly recommended"

We went by a few of the
recommendations to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. Very quiet for a cold, snowy night but the food was wonderful as well as the service. Have the asparagus appetizer if they have it for their special. Something so simple yet so good! We will return!"
Dined on 2/3/2014
Absolutely loved this restaurant,
the food was amazing and the service was outstanding! I would strongly recommend this as one of my favorites and can't wait to go again!"

We had an excellent dinner before
theater. The service was terrific and the food delicious ."
Dined on 1/30/2014
We were a group of 7, pre-theatre
and were the only party in the restaurant when we arrived. We waited more than 45 minutes to receive any of our food. I fail to understand why it took so long; there was another group of 4 who arrived long after us and they received their food much before we received ours. While I thought the food was good, I would have to think twice about going to this restaurant again; especially if you had somewhere to be. For that reason, I would hesitate to recommend this place."

We wanted Italian and didn't want
to walk far, so when I found Bricco on OpenTable I booked it right away. We were seated right away in a quiet table in the back and immediately given a wine list. We ordered a bottle of wine and two entrees. Everything came out very quickly and was very well priced. Great service and ambiance. Food was good but not amazing. Overall, very good experience."
Dined on 1/25/2014
I like Bricco, but had a very
disappointing visit this week. A Wednesday evening visit, with notice that this was a pre-theatre reservation at 5:15 p.m. Waited 40 min. between appetizers and entrees for two pasta dinners. Very rushed to pay check and make it to the theatre on time. Kitchen must be ready for early reservations, there were only two tables of guests at this time. This was to be a special night out for my daughter and I. We worried about making curtain time and were unable to enjoy desert due to the kitchen delays."

Bricco is a beautiful little spot
just off 8th Avenue. While waiting to be seated, we spoke to a neighbor who says he comes here at least twice a week and I now know why. Great food and service in a comfortable atmosphere."
Dined on 1/18/2014
Been here a few times. Love the
Owner. However, his staff is average at best, the food is hit and miss, and portion size is below average. Hiswine list, unexpectedly, is very good."
Dined on 1/4/2014
This is the second time we've
dined here and intend to return. Lovely and delicious, small enough to be intimate without being crowded. Glad we found Bricco!"
Dined on 1/5/2014
The location is very good and the
food excellent. I'll come bact and visit "my friends" at Bricco on my next travel to Nyc."
Dined on 12/31/2013
I was at Bricco a year ago and it
was awesome-just the right level of formal with excellent food, service and ambience. We went again this year and was very disappointed. It fell far below standards with poor service, mediocre food and environment. we were a group of 6 crammed into a table with bench seat. We were served by three wait staff which translated to disorganized service. We ordered apps and mine was never put in. The same thing happened with the main course for another who didn't get his meal until everyone else was two thirds through their lunch. Desserts and coffee took too long and nothing was comped. The maitre'd/owner never came to our table. The waiter apologized but not enough to change my decision to never go back."
Dined on 12/20/2013
We found this place on Open Table.
The reviews were good so gave it a try. Everything about place is nice, relaxed, and pleasant. The grilled octopus and pasta fagiole were extremely good. Nice and warm inside. Capocchino was the best ever."
Dined on 12/15/2013
Bricco always delivers: excellent
food, whether greatizza or more sophisticated dishes, apps, and desserts. Price range suits every diner, service is old-world courteous and professional, they make everyone welcome. And for a birthday, I swear, the waiters sing like Broadway stars! Highly recommended."
Dined on 12/11/2013
Pasta was excellent! Eggplant parm
was wonderful. Expected a larger salad considering the price but what they served was quality. The pizzas looked fabulous but I no one else in our party wanted to split one & they were too big for one person. The restaurant is a nice oasis from the the frenzied shoppers outside. We plan to come back."
Dined on 12/7/2013
The restauran was very good. The
descriptions in the Michelin guide and Zagat's were consistent with our experience. We look forward to going back."
Dined on 12/6/2013
I visit this restaurant after
reviewing all the posts from this website, wow, what happened guys?! This place looks nice, definitively kid friendly (upstairs). Waiting for a bottle of water for 15 mins, then bread for another 10mins, then 45 mins for the food, WOW, how can you survive in NYC? The appetizers where good and the soup was excellent, then the main dishes were just blah. The only detail that didn't make me leave immediatelly was the fact that the waiter was super nice and he was very nice to my sons, but otherwise, if you are alone or with your companion don't even bother. And BTW it was not busy that day at all, there were open tables..."

At $170 (including tip plus tax)
for four, including two appetizers, a salad, four entrees and about two drinks a piece, this restaurant is a decent (and fast) option for a pre-theater dinner. The $21 risotto (asparagus and shrimp that night) was well worth it. The $16 eggplant mozzarella pasta was underwhelming but filling. The free bread was acceptable. The drink prices not outrageous. The old man waiter seemed over his job but he didn't disappear. Also, he spoke Italian with the other waiters. In sum, I'd go there again, especially given the pricey options for pre-theater fare."
Dined on 12/6/2013
I eat in the rest. On dec 2013 it
was cold outside. I reasreched for recommodation and near by the hotal good rest. I came in and immedietly felt like i'm italy the service the music all italy. I order first sald . It came so small that even for one person its not enotgh. Then i orded pasta with cheese and tometos the most ag.... in the world. Orderd chack and left 45$ for 1 person for nothing."
Dined on 12/2/2013
I have gluten and other dietary
restrictions. The staff was very accommodating and my meal was delicious! I would definitely go back again."
Dined on 11/30/2013
We enjoyed out meal and everything
about our experience a Bricco. I look forward to going back. Italian and really good, but not the same old menu. Also, they were willing to make something off the menu on the waiters suggestion when I was unsure about what I was in the mood for. The broiled calamari was exceptional!"
Dined on 11/30/2013
We have dined here a few
times….always consistently wonderful! Besides having a charming ambiance, they are welcoming and attentive…plus the food is served beautifully and is always excellent. The four of us ordered different entrees and we all enjoyed our dinners immensely. Brick walls….warm colors…lovely flowers….this place is a gem!"
Dined on 11/30/2013
We had an excellent dinner made
better by the attentiveness of Ramiro, our server. Great osso bucco!"
Dined on 11/23/2013
I've been eating at Bricco for
several years now. The lovely exposed brick walls are totally inviting, along with the open kitchen, which puts out among the best pizzas you'll find in NYC! All of the food, from pastas to fresh fish is consistently quite good. I highly recommend Bricco for business or pleasure, lunch or dinner; you won't be disappointed!"
Dined on 11/20/2013
This restaurant reliably delivers
a quiet ambiance with good food. I've eaten here many times and I've never had a disappointing meal nor had any problems with service. It is one of my favorite places to go with people that I really want to see as the noise level is low and one never feels rushed."
Dined on 11/13/2013
The food and service was
outstanding!! Just great fun!"
