BriccoExcellentPicking a restaurant from many when you have no basis for comparison can be a challenge. We came to Boston for the weekend and I made reservations at Bricco based on Internet comments only. What a great experience! The food was wonderful! No waiting in line, we walk in five minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated, no delay. Our server was very good, attentive, knew the menu and the wine list and beer list. We left extremely satisfied with our meal and the entire dining experience! Will eat here again!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood italian restaurantI enjoyed and will return next time I will go to Boston.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMA Good Find in the North End!Bricco is very busy, but they manage it well. It also helps that they are pretty big inside and have multiple levels so making a reservation isn't that difficult, but make sure you go with a reservation otherwise you will have to wait a while. The service was good; very seasoned staff that took good care of us. Food was great. I would recommend this place.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Dining Experience! We celebrated our son's college graduation at Bricco. Everything from the ambience to the food was fantastic! We'd go back again and again. Thank You Bricco!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMOut with a work groupWe had a group of 7. Two were from the west coast and wanted to experience the North End. We all enjoyed our dinner, wine list and appetizers. Quite an extensive list of appetizers. Pasta dishes were reasonably priced, for the North End, other entrees were more expensive.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMD HigsWe had a great business dinner for 4. The table was on the second floor overlooking Hanover st. The food and service were Awesome! One of my favorites in Boston.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectVisiting from San Francisco and a foodie. The food was delicious.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat vibe and atmosphere.great vibe and atmosphere. really good food intelligently crafted with prime products. if you haven't been to italy, this is a good way to see if you might like the foodthere. and the wine - terrific list.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIn and out for the Bruins Game 7We were in town for the Bruins game which they knew. Got us drinks early and kept the flow going so we enjoyed dinner at a perfect pace and left in time for the easy walk to the Garden. Well done by all involved, including the Bruins who came back and won in OT!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLate night feastMy son and I dined late, after attending a Bruins, Blue Jays match. The service was attentive without being intrusive. I had the eggplant appetizer which was delicious, then moved on to the lamb shank which was met-in-your-mouth tender. My son enjoyed a crisp Caesar salad adorned with fresh shaved cheese followed by an excellent veal dish. My only regret was our inability to try everything on the menu. We will just have to come back again and again tinwork our way through all the offerings.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNo disappointmentsThis gem was new to us, but is in keeping with what many expect to have in a late-night Saturday dinner with a few friends. The food was amazing and had its own delectable Bricco spin and the ambience is also a North End staple. Great find! Please try it for yourself!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat in the North EndWe had a fabulous celebration dinner here this weekend. Our daughter and her fiancé were in town for her birthday and we wanted to celebrate their engagement too. We love the zucchini flowers for an appetizer. My husband had the prosciutto which was great. We had various pastas which were all cooked just right. Then they surprised us with a full strawberry shortcake with Best Wishes written on it for the bride and groom to be. It was an awesome night. Great food, atmosphere and service.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!!Bricco was amazing. We had a beet salad that was on special and the filet. Both were delicious. The filet was the best I have ever had, it melted in my mouth!! We will be coming here for every date night!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, good service, good fun! This was our second trip to Bricco and we were as happy this time as the first visit. The atmosphere is comfortable yet elegant, the food outstanding and the service impeccable. Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list he helped me with my choices and I was extremely pleased. For appetizers I ordered the cappaccio which was some of the best I've ever had. My son had a dish (I can't recall what it was) with giant shrimp in it which he described as "exquisite". I had the pasta "pillows" stuffed with ricotta that were fabulous.
I also have to mention that the waiter was a lot of fun. He was very relaxed and had a great sense of humor, but also was excellent at his job. Next time I'm in Boston, I'll be back!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousThe entrees were pricey ($59 steak) but well worth it. Absolutely delicious.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Chilean Sea Bass, Brodetto,The Chilean Sea Bass, Brodetto, and veal dinners were all excellent!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best!!!!!Every time I go to Boston , I go to Bricco and is always great, is one of my favorites restaurants. The food is absolutely amazing.
There is nothing in the menu that isn't great!! Love this place !4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWhenever we are in BostonWhenever we are in Boston we always go to Bricco. It is a great place for a celebration and the food is always delicious. We had a nice table upstairs looking out a window with a beautiful flowering tree. Our food was great; I had the pumpkin tortelli and my boyfriend had the shrimp fra diavolo. Even though we didn't have our usual server, the gentleman we had that evening did a great job. Definitely will be back.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food - service wasExcellent food - service was not very good. Waited a longtime for our wine and entree. would go back a bit earlier when it's less busy - maybe try a Sunday night4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMyou must try brodettoExcellent fritto misto and brodetto (seafood stew with lobster), cooked to perfection4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest North End Italian restaurantEvery meal is delicious. Bricco does not serve the chain restaurant style menu of lasagna, veal parmesan, and spaghetti & meatballs. It does offer great veal, lamb, seafood, and fresh homemade pasta dishes. Always listen to their daily specials which are fresh and delicious. The dining crowd is all there for the food and a good evening. The wrap around bar looks inviting although I have never eaten there. Maybe next time. This is my favorite North End restaurant. Wine and cocktail prices are reasonable. Service is impeccable.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBricco was great! Booked thisBricco was great! Booked this for my work dinner and everyone on the team loved it. The food was great. Though I probably wouldnt go there on my own expense as it is a little on the higher-end (unless it was for a special occasion). The noise level was a little too loud for my personal liking for a group size but it was still fine. Overall, good experience.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful dinnerWe could spend our wonderful dinner. Thank you very much.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond time there actuallySecond time there actually made the detour to Boston to stop in again and totally was NOT disappointed. Everything was EXCELLENT the wine the bread the meals EVERYTHING.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMEvening Extraordinaire!!!The food was spectacular and the service was tremendous. This was our first time at Bricco, a special evening for a special occasion. It was a wonderful night out and happy to have spent it at Bricco.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDo not miss Bricco!Exceptional service, and very accommodating my gluten sensitive diet. Amazing, hand made, gluten free pastas customized for my dietary needs. Gorgeous, fresh specials and perfect recommendations. Absolutely fabulous cocktails and delicious desserts. My daughter had the (not-so-gluten-free) bread pudding and was in heaven! I recommend this spot for a lovely, relaxing, personalized food experience in Boston. If I visit Boston again, we will return to Bricco for sure.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dinner at BriccoExcellent dinner at Bricco The mussels were wonderful Casey was awesome and made us feel welcome3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent! Was aFood was excellent! Was a bit disappointed they did not have the zucchini flower appetizer as stated on the Restaurant Week menu and wish they had told us beforehand. Otherwise, the service was superb, and it was definitely worth the visit. I definitely plan on returning back to Bricco soon as it has become a new favorite of mine in the North End district.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for a pre-game dinner.Great for a pre-game dinner. Swordfish was excellent!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMCame here for restaurant week.Came here for restaurant week. The food was amazing. I was sad that the Zucchini Blossoms were sold out but our other appetizers were delicious. The portions were generous and we definitely left feeling satisfied from our meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThoroughly enjoyed our choicesThoroughly enjoyed our choices off the restaurant week menu. All fresh, delicious, quality, memorable dishes. Friendly attentive service. A great experience.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMSo glad we picked Bricco toSo glad we picked Bricco to try during restaurant week. We will be back!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBricco was absolutely deliciousBricco was absolutely delicious and had a great atmosphere. It's location in the North End of Boston is perfect! I would recommend the pumpkin tortellini!!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood & martini's are delicious.Food & martini's are delicious. It's quiet upstairs, but moderate downstairs. My g/f is a little bummed out that we missed Bradley Cooper.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBit of a let downthe service really was amazing. very attentive and the drinks were phenomenal.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWent during Restaurant WeekWent during Restaurant Week and found their menu to be inclusive of some of their best dishes. The short ribs are unbelievably good and highly recommended. Overall another great dining experience at Bricco.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Food...Overall the whole experience was great. Our waiter was amazing when we sat in the dining room. He didn't rush us at all, and the food was fantastic! After dinner, my friend and I moved to the bar - that is when the experience started to go downhill. The blonde bartender was horrific - she was extremely rude. Our original bartender was amazing, I didn't catch her name, but she was attentive, talkative, nice, etc. She had an amazing accent as well. I would dine at Bricco again, but I would double check who is bartending prior to sitting down at the bar.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMgluten free pastaI heard they had good gluten free options, but I was disappointed t find that many of the dishes could not be made gluten free- such as the sauce for the parpardelle dish, the lamb shank and the short ribs. The gluten free pasta I ordered was delicious though.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Restaurant WeekWe went to Restaurant Week and were pleased with the appetizer and entrees. However, when the dessert came, the Tiramisu was icy - which I think was brought to the table directly out of the freezer - and didn't have much flavor as far as espresso or cocoa. I have enormously better Tiramisu at other restaurants. I was disappointed because I expected Bricco, as an Italian restaurant, to have superior dessert course.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place has a couple ofThis place has a couple of rooms upstairs which are much quieter. Our advance reservation gained us access to the quieter of the two rooms upstairs, making the evening much more pleasant.
The staff prefers that you order your appetizers and dinner entrees together. I thought that was odd.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were visiting Boston andWe were visiting Boston and our concierge recommended Bricco. The gnocchi was the best we ever had. The risotto was a little disappointing. The tiramisu was great. This is a good place for foodies and I would recommend it for a good Italian meal.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Highest of RecommendationsI went to Bricco after some colleagues recommended it from the night before.I had the Veal Chop stuffed with Fontina and Parma Ham. It was fantastic and it was served with a side of Demi Glace and an Onion Potato. It was served on a black slate which looked very cool. The Demi Glace was spot on. It is rare that you get a good one nowadays.
My colleagues thought the Octopus starter was great though I did not have it.
I sat at the bar and had my meal. The Bartender was fantastic and took excellent care of me.
I'm a Chef that eats out a lot for business. I would heartily recommend Bricco.
After your meal go to the famous Mike's Pastries down the street and pick up some sweets to take home with you.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place To EatWe visit Boston once a year for work and are always trying new restaurants and re-visting ones we liked in the past. This was our first visit and we would definately go back. The wait staff was very friendly, the variety of food on the menu has something for everyone in our group and the food reminds me of a homecooked meal. We tried the scallops, wild boar, pasta and meatballs, ossobuco and the brodetto. There wasn't a complaint among us! We all agreed this will be our italian stop next year too! It is very busy so make reservation in advance. We couldn't have been more pleased with this restaurant!3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food; gracious efficientWonderful food; gracious efficient professional service. We love Bricco! Just wish starter prices were lower--they're nearly as high as entrees. To get a starter, salad and entree is a significant investment.2/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, but pricey! The restaurant is buzzing with energy and appears to be a real local favorite as it was full in spite of the city being shut down thanks to the big snow storm. People found a way to get there! Excellent pasta paired with an excellent wine by the glass. My brick chicken ($26!) was a little disappointing (the vaunted 8 spices didn't make it into the meat, remaining skin-level). The cannoli were great, paired with a scoop of real ice cream. I would definitely go back to try other selections. Caveat emptor: the entrees are quite pricey, even over-priced.2/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was great and it wasDinner was great and it was very busy on a Monday night.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMBricco was warm and cozy andBricco was warm and cozy and the food delivered. Went here recently for restaurant week. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella, eggplant bake, Gnotti, beef tenderloin and tiramisu. Everything was great. Our wine was delicious, great selection.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMWe had a wonderful night here.We had a wonderful night here. My friend was turning 30 and in my OpenTable reservations I mentioned this hoping for a simple candle. Instead we received free limoncellos AND a candle on her dessert. Above and beyond! Thanks so much for helping to make her night so special.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMGreat food and serviceThe food was excellent. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars overall is because our table was right by the door and every time someone opened the door (several times a minute) I would get a cold burst of air.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
