I always look for the $70 off coupon on Living Social.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding RestaurantWe took my wife here for Mother's Day (actually on Saturday night). My wife and I usually dine here a couple times a year for a date night or special occasion. This was the first time I have taken the entire family and they all enjoyed it. As always, the service was exceptional and the food was awesome. I would highly recommend Briarhurst Manor and will definitely be back again.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time there and weOur first time there and we will certainly go back.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary Dinner - We hadAnniversary Dinner - We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed everything about Briarhurst. We had a nice, romantic dinner and look forward to going back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster BrunchMy wife and I went for Easter Sunday Brunch. It was delicious -- a large spread of a wide variety of foods, including an omelette station and a carving station (roast beef and lamb). Most people were seated in a spacious, open, and bright conservatory area. I initially was sorry that we were seated in the interior of the old mansion; but later I came to appreciate the soft background music, and the overall quiet ambiance of the place. We very much enjoyed our brunch.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMService was great. Food wasService was great. Food was excellent. They know how to take care of their customers. Didn't feel up tight like some of the more expensive places can feel.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food, easily allowVery good food, easily allow for upgrades in the 5 course meal. Server was punctual but not impeding. Spacing of the food was great. The manor was an interesting experience.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu at Briarhurst isThe menu at Briarhurst is "old school" - nothing wrong with that, but nothing that will surprise your palate. Between my wife and I we had the broccoli onion soup, lamb chops, chateaubriand, creme brulee and pumpkin cheesecake. Each dish was very well prepared and plated, tasty, and temperature appropriate (the soup, we agreed, was an exceptionally good dish). Server was friendly, attentive, seemed to enjoy her job, and didn't address us 'you guys', which I appreciated, as my wife is not a guy.
The building itself apparently is of significant historical value, but seems a bit underplayed and could use a bit of professional updating. The parking lot was a muddy mess the night we were there.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery visit to BriarhurstEvery visit to Briarhurst Manor has been enjoyable. The wait staff are friendly and knowledgable. The food is wonderful both in taste and presentation. The service is timely and we were never rushed. It has a very pleasant ambiance. The 5 course dinner is a wonderful deal, made even better by the Living Social special purchased! The Chicken & Beef Wellington ordered were made to perfection & we did not regret our choices! Definitely a place to go to when you can splurge ;).3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI wanted to make sure thatI wanted to make sure that this Valentines Day was special and Briarhurst Manor made that happen. It was my first time ever eating at a high class restaurant so I didn't know what to really expect. The five course meal was exquisite, beautifully presented, and well worth the money. At the end of dessert they even brought my girlfriend a rose. We are already planning the next time we can go back.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMTable was ready when we arrived. Wonderful ambiance in the old historic house.
Expensive!2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe very much enjoyed an earlyWe very much enjoyed an early Valentine's Day dinner in this exceptionally romantic venue. The food was very good, and we had a choice of ala carte (my wife is a lite eater) and the five course meal, which I got and shared the dessert with my wife. This historic setting in the foothills of the Rampart Range is beautiful. Our service was very good, the room we were in was very quiet, even with several other diners in the same room. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and felt the price was reasonable for the occassion.2/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe evening couldn't haveThe evening couldn't have been better. Everyone from the greeter at the door, the man who seated us and our server were outstanding. The food was excellent, pacing was impeccable, ambiance beautiful. Thank you to everyone.2/10/2013 12:00:00 AMForever In Our MemoriesWe had not been to the Btiarhurst in over twelve years. What a pleasant surprise awaited us as we walked in and were warmly greeted while our coats were checked. We had barely sat down in a quiet alcove when a hostess escorted us to a cozy table in one of their many rooms. It could not have been more perfect. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgable. We ordered a bottle of wine and a five-course meal. Each course was a delight to our senses as well as our palate.
Thank you for a dining experience that will forever be in our memories!
Gary and Carol Munro2/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAn evening will be well remembered!Great spot for a quiet, romantic, or private dinner. As a large man (6' 3" 270 lbs) I do not enjoy crowded restaurants. The Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs, CO provides tables that are well spaced apart, multiple dinning rooms that allow for a small number of people you are dinning with, and a staff that are pleasant and friendly. While you will pay a bit more for dinner you will in turn receive a special dinning experience that cannot easily be duplicated. You should try this establishment at least once; your evening will be well remembered.2/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
