  • "Hannah our waitress deserves a raise. Your staff was very accommodating to our request to change tables and we're very attentive to see to our every need."

  • "This old mansion is tucked down and away from the road, easily missed. The private rooms at this establishment make it perfect for any group size and the fun knowledgable staff give the upscale dining a friendly and inviting feel. Don't wait for a special occasion, make any day fun by indulging your inner foodie here."

  • "This historic Victorian estate was the perfect choice for a memorable dinner. The service was impeccable, the room was small and intimate and the food was delicious. The five course dinner is an amazing value and included Amuse Bouche, Cara’s salad, Intermezzo & a fabulous dessert. We both had Steak Diane which was perfectly prepared, juicy, tasteful and tender. Our only disappointment was the Amuse Bouche which was less than luke warm and needed a little more flavor, perhaps a touch of salt or spice. I highly recommend this for special dinners and it would be a lovely place for a wedding or special event."

  • "Great restaurant for that special occasion. Chef was very accommodating when we asked for a sauce substitution for the steak Diane. Best bernaise sauce in Colorado! Creme brulee was awesome. Will go again."

  • "The food and atmosphere were exceptional. The server was a little slow, but not horrible. All in all, I love the Briarhurst Manor."

  • "great food and outstanding service in a nice quiet atmoshere. Highly recommend!"

  • "Definitely recommended for locals and visitors seeking a special meal in a special location. The 5-course menu could be improved by offering a choice of appetizer, and it would have been outstanding to have a sommelier/staff offer wine pairings or suggestions. But the food was excellent and presentation was appealing. The courses were served at our pace so we were not rushed nor did we feel we were waiting on anything. The service was excellent, but not surprisingly above expectations; cordial, professional, engaging. I noticed many patrons were using coupons to increase the affordability, but I thought pricing was on par with both my expectations and Briarhurst's delivery. Bon appetit!"

  • "We went here with a groupon... I think the prices are too high for the quality food being served. Roasted Boar Rib was great flavor, but extremely tough and hard to cut/eat. The Beef Wellington left a lot to be desired. Lobster Bisque and Creme Brule were great ."

  • "My selection tasted delicious - scallops My husband chose a steak, which tasted too salty for him and the vegetables served we severely undercooked. The atmosphere is lovely and quiet, but a bit too pricey for the experience."
    Dined on 3/28/2014
  • "Although the food was enjoyable, a couple of things were not. There was some confusion about whether or not the groupon deal was available - would have been much more affordable, but somehow didn't work out. My husband and I took our 19 year old daughter out for a dinner during her spring break from college. This was not the right place for her because there were literally 4 tables in our little dining room ( the restaurant used to be a mansion). Halfway through our dinner we were the only ones left whih felt awkward. I would have preferred a more lifely ambiance which would have given us something other to look at than each other across the table. /"

  • "The waitress was amazing, and the food tasted delicious but our amuse bouch was cold and I am pregnant and my salmon was raw in the middle. When asked if I wanted a new one the chef informed my waitress to tell me they cook it that way on purpose and he won't make new one but will cook mine more. I asked for it put into a box I checked it and was still raw."

  • "We go to this restaurant every time we have a Groupon because we would not be able to afford it otherwise. Please make sure to tip well though so the waiting staff does not mind people with Groupons. This is one of our favorite places to go. We have great service every time however the last time we went I think our waitress was having a rough night because she was not as good as the other ones we have had in the past. She still was good though. Their beef wellington is amazing, however I miss there turtle cheese cake they used to have. I cannot wait to go back."

  • "You walk in and it smells great. There are several different cozy, attractive rooms. I ordered lobster bisque--good but not great. Also ordered crème brulee which seemed surprisingly light. Note to self: never eat lobster bisque and crème brulee in one sitting. The salad was delicious, both entrees beautifully presented. Our server was very good at her job and also delightfully eccentric. Lots of carpeting and drapery make for a soothingly quiet experience. The music was sophisticated and not obtrusive or annoying, as it is in so many restaurants. But the coffee should be better. For instance, you can get much better coffee at Trinity Brewing of all places. Coffee is a detail at a fine-dining establishment, but details are important."

  • "I've eaten at Briarhurst 2xs. I took a friend & we ordered the 5-course dinner. VERY EXPENSIVE & admit that I didn't expect to pay so much. However, it was very good & I can say "I did that" ...unfortunately, I can't afford to do it again. 2nd time was because they gave us $25 birthday vouchers, which we used day before. We both ordered pumpkin ravioli w/maple glaze & it was delicious in just the right quantity. They served fresh-baked bread w/choice of whipped butter, a pate and current jelly (I'm partial to the jelly). Then there was some kind of little "appetizer" that they served, which you had to mix. It was good. However, watch your credit card statement, as mine is currently pending with 2 charges instead of the 1. Visit 1x!"

  • "The only problem was that the parking lot was a mud pit"

  • "Really nice place for special occasion dinners. (Valentine's day) Food was very good if not on the cool side. Staff was friendly and helpful."

  • "We celebrated Valentine's Day at this wonderful restaurant. What a wonderful find. The atmosphere was charming, the food delectable and the prices were more reasonable than we expected. All in all, our dining experience was absolutely fantastic and we will suggest this wonderful place to all of our friends and family. One side note, which dampened our spirits. The parking lot is dirt and when filled with ice and snow was treacherous. We could barely make it to the sidewalk without slipping and falling or getting mud all over our shoes. You would think the management would not want mud to be tracked into their beautiful facility."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Starting with the parking lot, which was a mess of mud and water, the ambiance was challenged by a loud, noisy foursome nearby. I was not impressed with their stories of their bar hopping days. I was hoping for a quiet, romantic Valentines Day dinner. By the time we waded through the mud and completely ruined our shoes, and then to top it off with the loud group seated nearby, the ambiance we anticipated was ruined."

  • "Excellent ambience, great service, 5 course dinner was delicious, especially if you like French pretention. I had lobster and scallops, my fiancé had the bacon wrapped filet. Both were as good as it gets. Pricey, check groupon."

  • "The service was awesome and the place is beautiful; it was a great experience but the food was not worth what we paid for it. I could have had a better Salomon and steak at Texas Roadhouse."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "We arrived for a valentine dinner to find the parking lot a ice/ muddy mess, ( not all their fault because the weather) . The dinner was a set menu. The first course was good, the lobster bisque was good, but didn't have a lobster taste to it. We both had the filet mignon. We both asked it to be cooked to medium, and they where both over cooked( no red or pink at all). They both where tuff to cut also. My wife sent hers back, and was a bit better ( a hint of pink) but her potatoes where cold, like they came from the first steak. The desert was so so, and not much of it. The house itself was wonderful to see, and service was good too. We will not be going back!"

  • "I was expecting excellent food and service. I got neither. Food was good but not in any way exceptional. Over priced for what we got. The sauce on my entre was cold... They made little to no accommodation for guests that did not want meal cooked or seasoned with alcohol which reduced the menu choices to two entres and one dessert. Waiter was slow and did not even offer coffee with dessert."

  • "My wife's friend said she must try the restaurant. It looked promising from the outside, being a Manor. Lot of history to admire as you walked to your table. The server, Ryan, was very professional and studious in his duties. In my opinion, which I think makes the restaurant, is the presentation and taste of the meal. It was professionally prepared with an eye for personal touches. The look, smell and of course the taste was very delightful. You almost hate to eat all of the dishes, since it would be gone, but then with a five course meal, there was more to come. We had the surf-n-turf and highly recommend it. If you have not rewarded yourself with the Briar Hurst Manor, you are truely missing a lot."

  • "Had a nice dinner with my sister. Everything was great except my bison was not as tender as I expected. The apple cheesecake was WONDERFUL!"

  • "The food was great, and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our evening. The service was almost a little too fast, though. The courses showed up as we finished the previous one, so we didn't linger very long. We enjoyed the Manor, and the server did bring the history of the Manor to us. Nice touch."

  • "From start to end, Christmas eve dinner was amazing. The entire staff took great care of us and our server, Amanda, was excellent. By the end of the night, my 2 little girls were hugging here every time she passed the table - that's how great she was. I'm always weary about going to fancy restaurants with my kids because 1, they are kids and can be unpredictable and 2, they have just about every food allergy you can have between the both of them. The Briarhurst Manor is a nice and classy restaurant but they made us feel very welcome and comfortable the second we arrived. We told them about the children's allergies ahead of time and they made a great meal for the kids complete with a dessert that they absolutely loved. Worth every cent!"
