Good food and great atmosphere.

We had the sampler appetizer which included bacon wrapped quail, crab cakes and scallops. We both had ribeyes and shared the au gratin potatoes. Our only complaint, was we ordered 1 appetizer, but apparently were served and charged for two. Also, we were expecting our leftovers to be boxed up, but they were not.

Order is one crabacake where as other restaurants in Hou serve two but are mostly bread crumb filling. I'll take the one. Wife had Red Snapper which she thought was a little dry. I ordered the Ribeye bone in medium plus and it was perfect to my taste. A little pricey on some things(a bottle of sparkling water was $8, one of the side specials that we got was $20 for a mac and cheese dish with crab meat in it. It was very good though.) We were seated by a window upstairs that had a very pretty view of the garden in the back. Our server named 'Trey' was excellent and attended to our needs perfectly. I ordered the crab cakes on the brunch menu and they were delicious.

The manager (Taylor/Tyler?) granted and catered to very unique request. The entire waitstaff made our party of 5 feel extremely welcomed. I will come back and recommend this place to anyone. The rib eye was cooked to perfection. Lamb was tasty and didn't have that strong odor like some other places do. Lobster Bisque was tasty. Everything was exceptional. The wait staff was excellent even with so many private parties being hosted. In fact I was stuck in traffic and was late for my reservation I called the restaurant to tell I would be late they were very friendly and assured me that I would have my table when I arrived. When I arrived the other people in my party were at the table and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The appetizers were great the meal was wonderful didn't have room for dessert but I'm sure that would have been spectacular. Our waiter was quite young but attentive just enough and well presented. The bacon wrapped quail was well cooked & tasty. The crab cakes were very tasty.
Things to improve: Some of the forks were well used, but not quite as bad a buffet forks. The scallop was tasty & well cooked, but the sauce completely over powered the scallop with an over use of dill. The braised pork short rib was bland w/o the sauce.
The bad: The $19 Crab Infused Mac & Cheese tastes and looks like Kraft Mac & Cheese with a little crab meat in it & a bit of cheddar on top. The waiter said the appetizer was a split ap for 2, each w/ quail, crab cake, & scallop. Yet I was billed for 2 appetizers.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWE LOVE BRENNERS!!This place is always so wonderful!! First thing I noticed immediately was the fact that my chair and table were listing slightly to the left and my chair was a little slippery and I did not find it relaxing. Our waiter was great and the food was very good. The music which they have playing is designed to get you to drink and eat fast so they can turn the table and I found the music slightly annoying. My date ordered the fried shrimp and wanted to substitute something for the french fries and they would not not allow her to do so. That is ridiculous. My filet was very good. The room temperature was very good, I was able to leave my jacket on which was nice. The food was good, but the service was off on this occassion. For example, my friend got the chicken and waffles and she was almost finished with her meal before someone brought her syrup.
