Diner Reviews
  • "Busy Mothers Day made it difficult for bus people to clear tables. Otherwise service acceptable."

  • "Unfortunately, the restaurant was not planning to be open for lunch as they were setting up for a wedding. This was not noted on OpenTable. We arrived for lunch, but they were really only open for breakfast. They did offer the lunch menu upon request, but were clearly not prepared to serve lunch. Otherwise, the experience was fine. They did their best to accommodate us, but the outdoor seating area is right on the reception circle and not the ambiance we expected. I wouldn't rush back there with all the great dining options in Annapolis."

  • "The Easter Brunch at Breeze was outstanding. Large selection of breakfast and lunch items, attentive service. Stations for breakfast items, kids, carving station, raw bar, salads/sides and desserts. Definitely a do-again!"

  • "The visit was superb, complete from the start: complimentary valet parking, they opened the door for you, the hostess was extremely nice and quick. The food was amazing. The portions sizes were really big, almost too big, but you definitely got your money's worth. The chicken just fell off the bone. The steak was cooked perfectly and served in a delicious pinot noir sauce. The desserts were very good as well. The mesculun salad was ok, the dressing was a little too sweet but the salad was huge. The cream of crab soup was to die for!"

  • "The food was very well done. However, the restaurant atmosphere felt as if I was eating in the hotel lobby. The place totally lacks any pizzazz."
    Dined on 2/24/2012
  • "The food was great however the service was very poor. We felt very rushed by our server. The seating is so close together that you had to speak over anyone seated next to you."

  • "Food was awesome and Ambiance was not so good. Hotel doing renovations and moving location of restaurant to another spot in hotel. Atmosphere should be much better. Again, food was outstanding!"

  • "service and food was excellent. Food was very appertizing and delicious. Will come again soon."

  • "I made the reservation for Breeze, the restaurant. We actually ate in a room off the bar that is the temporary restaurant while they are undergoing renovations. Considering this was a birthday dinner, that would have been nice to know, as we would have gone elsewhere. In addition, I called when making the reservation to make sure they would honor a spotlight certification (which they did), so they had a 2nd opportunity to tell me they were under renovation and they did not. Our waitress Pamela was great, but the hotel is clueless to the concept of customer service.Check them out on Open Table. Not ONE WORD about construction/renovation. And we were told it would not be completed for 8 months."

  • "The service was good and the food was veary hearty (fatening), but very delicious. The atmosphere was very casual and did not fit the menu prices (expensive). Overall though, we had a great time and we would go back."

  • "Small and lovely, the food was delicious, 3 people shared three appetizers:bacon wrapped scallops, fried oysters and bibb lettuce salad. Our entres were the crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Everything was wonderful, don't miss their cocktail menu. Service was great and the kitchen was very accomodating for variations. All the staff we encountered were very nice and made great suggestions."

  • "The crab soup was excellent. One salad order was messed up and then the request to review all items ordered by one person at the table to be wheat or gluten free was not observed (croutons came on the salad.) Crab cakes were good. The grilled chicken was fair. Wine recommendations were very good."

  • "Only one other couple in the restaurant on a Wed night (and we had a great conversation with them). Our server Pamela was great, food extremely fresh and tasty. A real hidden gem!"

  • "It's ok so if you are looking for mediocre, look no further but if you want a well cooked steak go to Osteria 177"

  • "One of our favorite breakfast spots. Order the Chesapeake Omelet."
    Dined on 10/30/2011
  • "Excellent preparation with an eye to the details. Our crab cakes were the perfect combination of simple flavors allowing the crab to be the foremost flavor. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Our server explained that a new dinner menu would appear next week."

  • "Very professional service; hard to find around here. Crab cake was good, not great. Free valet parking makes up for any unfavorable "hotel" ambiance, which really isn't an issue. Scallop & grits with pea oil appetizer was magnificent."

  • "Couldn't have asked for a better ending to a day in Annapolis. The food was excellent, and our server Pamela was attentive but not intrusive. She made helpful suggestions about our menu choices."
    Dined on 8/5/2011
  • "there was a notable difference between the crab sandwich and the crab entree. The entree had less filler than the sandwich. The green tomoatoes were delicious as well as the asparugus. I would definitely go back but my guest thought the menu was very limited and she did not enjoy her sandwich."

  • "I generally don't enjoy hotel restaurants but I LOVE Breeze. This is our second time going and the food continues to be delicious. The portions are just right, not too big or too small. I like the variety in appetizers-fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, polenta. It's more than the standard crab dip, calamari appetizers you find most places in Annapolis. They had good drink options as well. I would highly recommend this place for any occasion."

  • "This place is small and quaint, a welcome change from the more popular spots. The food, service, and environment were excellent. My husband and I were there for our first date without our 4-month old and it was well worth the time. Jessica took great care of us and we hope to go back again."

  • "Went for a Mother's Day Brunch and there was lots of good stuff for adults and kids to eat. Service was outstanding and restaurant was not too crammed with tables. Plenty of room and sunlight and comfortable seating."
    Dined on 5/8/2011
  • "The setting was a was a pleasantly formal, glass enclosed hotel restaurant. With crisp white tablecloths and very modern decor I expected high-end menu and prices, however the reasonably priced selections ranged from soup and sandwiches to a sophisticated local fish dish. The chili, crab cake sandwich and fish entree were delicious, the salad plentiful but ordinary. The service was excellent making for a very pleasant evening. This is a place for people who would like a peaceful, relaxing dinner experience rather than many of the waterfront restaurants, like Pussers, which would be at the rowdy end on the party atmosphere scale."

  • "for a hotel restaurant.........better than most. small, almost intimate which is nice. free parking a plus. Our first visit was enjoyable on a quiet Friday night. My wife loved the crab cake........big, full of meat, not a lot of filler."

  • "Generally good. Dish quality does vary. So pick a good one."

  • "As soon as you walk in there, it is so calm and such a relaxing environment that you can actually enjoy your dinner and conversation with your guests. The service was prompt and the waitress was very attentive. Their wine selection was great, and our waitress was very knowledgeable on the flavors of each wine, and even let me sample one I had never heard of. The Food was EXCELLENT, I got a beet salad, which was perfect. The Rockfish was cooked to perfection, nice and flaky and a buttery like texture, with a delicious ragu beneath. The creme brule was excellent and GIGANTIC, with fresh berries and whipped cream on the side. Everything was great. WE ended up staying for 2 hours just enjoying the restaurant and excellent service."

  • "Breeze is tucked away off West St. just off the main lobby of the Loew's Annapolis, and it caters more to the hotel guests than your average restaurant goer. However, don't let the fact that it's a hotel restaurant dissuade you. The menu is primarily seafood, and all of it from the mussels to the crab cakes were excellent. The waitstaff was great, and we loved decor which added to the calm, low-key ambiance. The only real negative is that Breeze does not have any external signs on the road, so if you don't know it's in the Loew's Annapolis you'll probably never find it. However, this is made up for by free valet. Drive up to the lobby, tell the valet you're eating at Breeze, and you're all set."

  • "My wife and I went with another couple during Annapolis' Restaurant Week. I had the Bistro steak. It was done perfectly. My wife had the salmon and liked it very much. However the dessert, choclate bread puddy, was flavorless and dry."
